Older Tattoo Care: How to Treat and Prevent Infections, Allergies, Inflammation

So, you finally got inked. You chose a design, picked out a parlor, and “sat” like a champ. (That’s tattoo artist-speak for grinning and bearing it through hours of pain.) Then you spent a few weeks diligently washing and moisturizing it while it healed. Now, save for moments you catch a glimpse of the design in the mirror, you usually forget the whole thing happened. What’s done is done, right?

Not always. In fact, skin irritation or a full-blown condition can develop months, years, even decades after the initial tattooing process. “Tattoos breach the protective layer of the skin, increasing your risk of skin complications,” says David Lortscher, a dermatologist based in San Diego and San Francisco and co-founder of Curology. If you start to see redness, bumps, or even burns on or around a long-healed tattoo, one of these issues could be the culprit, and you should see your physician or dermatologist as soon as possible.

Your tattoo is infected.

You’ve heard horror stories of peoples’ ink getting infected and warping the appearance of the design. But while this typically occurs during the initial healing process, an infection is still possible even months later, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Some signs to look out for: pain or redness that gets worse rather than better; a rash with itchy, red bumps; open sores; pus; and a fever with chills.

You’ve developed an allergy to the ink.

“Though it’s rare, a reaction called a pseudolymphomatous reaction can occur in response to red ink,” says plastic surgeon David L. Cangello of Cangello Plastic Surgery in New York City. Essentially, this is a delayed hypersensitivity to the ink.

“The exact etiology is unknown, but it’s thought that the red ink acts as an antigen, or something that stimulates an immune response from the body,” says Cangello. “Cells called lymphocytes infiltrate the skin in the area of the antigen — or red pigment in this case — and cause an inflammatory reaction.” Likely, the response has been developing for some time but took months or years to appear on the surface of the skin.

You’re predisposed to a skin condition.

Shockingly, tattoos can cause skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis and even vitiligo to crop up for the first time. “This centers around something called the Koebner phenomenon,” says Dhaval Bhanusali, a dermatologist in New York City. “Particularly with psoriasis and vitiligo, the idea is that any epidermal disruption can trigger disease, including a tattoo. Eczema is probably more reflective of an allergic reaction.”

Tattoos & Body Piercings – Sepsis Alliance

Tattoos and body piercings provide an opening in the skin that may allow germs to enter your body and cause infections. These infections could cause sepsis. It is for this reason that anyone who receives a tattoo or piercing must take special care to reduce the risk of contracting an infection.

Sometimes incorrectly called blood poisoning, sepsis is the body’s often deadly response to infection. Like strokes or heart attacks, sepsis is a medical emergency that requires rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Sepsis and septic shock can result from an infection anywhere in the body, such as pneumonia, influenza, or urinary tract infections. Like strokes or heart attacks, sepsis is a medical emergency that requires rapid diagnosis and treatment. Worldwide, one-third of people who develop sepsis die. Many who do survive are left with life-changing effects, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain and fatigue, organ dysfunction (organs don’t work properly), and/or amputations.

Tattoos and piercings create openings in the skin

The art of tattooing and the practice of body piercing go back thousands of years. A tattoo is an image made by permanent ink placed directly under the outermost layer of your skin, the epidermis, into the dermis. Tattoos range from permanent eyeliner or eyebrows to full arm sleeves and more. Regardless of the type of permanent tattoo, in order for the ink or dye to get under the skin, the tattoo artist must make thousands of tiny holes or pin pricks to make openings for the ink to enter. Until each one of these tiny holes in the skin heals, they make you susceptible to infection.

A body piercing involves creating an opening in your skin or cartilage so you can insert a piece of jewelry. Piercings can be done just about anywhere, from the more traditional ear lobes to other parts of the body, such as the tongue, navel, and even genitals. These breaks in the skin are, as with tattoos, a source for infection until they are fully healed. Depending on the location of the piercings, some are also easier to tear or chafe even after they have healed, which again makes them susceptible to infection. This includes infections such as cellulitis and necrotizing fasciitis.

Preventing infection after tattoos and body piercings

If you are considering a tattoo or body piercing, there are some steps you can take before you get the tattoo and after to reduce the risk of contracting an infection .

  • Choose a reputable artist. Ask for recommendations. If you have friends or family members with tattoos or piercings you like, ask if they would recommend the studio and artist again. Ask about their experiences and if they have ever had an infection or problem following the procedure.
  • Check to see if your state or local region regulates shops and studios that offer tattoos or piercings. Not all states have this requirement. Check for how many years the artist has been in business.
  • Visit the studio or shop. Look for signs of proper cleaning and maintenance. Ask questions about what type of equipment the artists use. You are looking for artists who use single, “throw away” kits. For tattoos, these contain disposable needles and tubes, and for piercings they contain needles. Does the staff use an autoclave to sterilize non-disposable equipment? Check to see where they place their used needles. The shop or studio must have a separate, clearly marked red container marked “sharps disposal.” Razors must also be disposable. The artist should also wash his or her hands and use a new pair of sterile disposable gloves before touching a new client or if he or she steps away and returns to continue the procedure. If these basic steps of infection control are not present, go to another establishment.
  • Do not use a DIY tattoo kit. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends against using do-it-yourself kits for tattoos. The inks are associated with infections and allergic reactions, and the agency is concerned that tattoos done at home may not follow all infection-prevention strategies. Self-piercing is also discouraged because of the increased risk of infection when a piercing is not done in the proper environment.
  • Sterilize jewelry before insertion into the new hole.

Follow after-care instructions

Even if you have had multiple piercings or tattoos and you’ve never had an infection before, you still must follow the after-care instructions every time you have a body modification. It’s important to keep in mind that no two tattoos or piercings heal at the same rate.

Tattoos

You should receive instructions on how to care for the tattoo until it has healed. These are the most common instructions:

  • Once complete, your artist should wrap your tattoo to keep it clean and prevent it from rubbing against your clothing or coming into contact with some other objects that could irritate the skin further or introduce germs. Your tattoo artist will tell you how long to keep the new art covered, which is usually about 24 hours.
  • Once you remove the covering, you should gently clean the tattoo with warm water and unscented soap. Always make sure you have washed your hands before touching your tattoo. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel you don’t share with someone else – do not rub. Rubbing may affect the tattoo and it may cause more irritation to the skin as well. You may want to apply some antibiotic ointment.
  • If any scabs form, do not pick at them.
  • Avoid swimming, using a hot tub, or getting the tattoo wet other than with regular washing. Wait until the skin has healed.
  • If you show any signs of infection, see your doctor or nurse practitioner right away, or go to an urgent care clinic. Signs include skin getting redder around the tattoo, redness spreading, increased pain, pus from the tattoo, fever.

Piercings

As with tattoos, follow the after-care instructions for your particular piercing. Always wash your hands before handling your piercing. The instructions usually include:

  • If you have had an oral piercing, use a new soft bristle toothbrush. This avoids introducing bacteria from an older brush into your piercings. The piercing also needs to be cleaned with an alcohol-free antiseptic mouthwash after you eat and before bed. Swish the mouthwash for 30 seconds to a minute. You can also rinse twice a day with a salt-water rinse, about a quarter of a teaspoon of table salt dissolved in a cup of warm water. After the piercing heals remember to take out the jewelry every night to clean it. This prevents plaque from building up.
  • For skin piercings, clean the site a few times a day. Use a salt water solution or warm water and non-scented soap. Do not go swimming, use a hot tub, or expose your piercing to water other than to clean it until the skin has healed. Don’t remove the piercing until the skin has healed.*
  • For all piercings, it is important to not touch, twist, or fiddle with the jewelry as the hole heals.
  • If you show any signs of infection, see your doctor or nurse practitioner right away. An urgent care clinic is another option. Signs include skin getting redder around the piercing, swelling, increased pain, pus or discharge, fever.

*If you develop an infection, you may need to remove the jewelry in order to treat the infection effectively.

Treating tattoo or piercing infections

You may need an antibiotic cream first. You may get oral antibiotics if the infection is more serious or in a place where it is impossible to apply a cream. Follow the instructions for the antibiotics to work. You may have to remove your piercing

Once the tattoo or piercing is healed, the skin is intact and should not be at risk for infection any more. However, some types of body piercings are at a higher risk of injury and infection well after the piercing has healed. Earrings can rip accidentally from an ear lobe. Navel piercings can become irritated and raw from rubbing against clothing. If you have a piercing, always be aware of the signs and symptoms of an infection.

If you suspect sepsis, call 9-1-1 or go to a hospital and tell your medical professional, “I AM CONCERNED ABOUT SEPSIS.”

MULTIPLE HORDEOLA AND PRESEPTAL CELLULITIS FOLLOWING PERMANENT EYELINER TATTOO

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Permanent eyeliner tattoo (aka blepharopigmentation, micropigmentation) is a cosmetic procedure in which pigment is deposited along the eyelash line. Originally performed by physicians, the procedure is now commonly performed by non-medical personnel, e.g. cosmetologists. A variety of complications can arise from the procedure. A case of bilateral multiple hordeola and preseptal cellulitis following permanent eyeliner is presented.

CASE REPORT(S): A 28 year old Hispanic female presented with a chief complaint of severe pain, swelling, and redness of the upper and lower eyelids of both eyes. The symptoms had onset 3 days following application of permanent eyeliner, eyebrow, and lip pigmentation (tattoo). The patient had no significant ocular or medical history. Examination revealed visual acuity of 20/20 in each eye. Extraocular motility, color vision, and pupil function were normal. Body temperature was 98.2 F. Gross examination revealed bilateral eyelid edema and erythema, with swelling extending inferiorly through the right cheek. There were no apparent problems at the lip or eyebrow tattoo sites. Slit lamp examination revealed multiple external hordeola, and a clear conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior chamber. The optic nerve was normal, without disc edema, in each eye. The patient was diagnosed with multiple hordeola OU and preseptal cellulitis OD. She was treated with oral amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (Augmentin)for 10 days, with complete resolution of the condition.

CONCLUSIONS: Complications may occur following eyeliner “tattoo” procedures. Although most commonly cited are allergic/granulomatous reactions, other reported complications include eyelid necrosis, cicatricial entropion, and inoculation/infectious complications. The optometrist should be familiar with the potential risks involved with this procedure in order to counsel patients and to manage any complications that arise.

The Non-Healing Tattoo | Emergency Physicians Monthly

The Case: A 25-year-old male presented to the emergency department rapid care center complaining of an infection to his left lower extremity. He had a tattoo placed with red and green ink 2 weeks ago, and has noticed progressively worsening redness and pruritis developing, and a nonhealing wound with elements of the tattoo sloughing off. He denied fever, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath, abdominal pain, hives and joint pain. The present discomfort is mild and somewhat pruritic. Scratching and pressure on site aggravate the area, and no relief was obtained with Keflex x 1 week.

The patient has not had similar symptoms in the past. There was no history of trauma prior to the placement of the tattoo.

The patient denies smoking, alcohol or drug abuse nor any past medical/surgical history or allergies.

On physical examination the patient was in moderate discomfort. His blood pressure was 151/51, pulse 90, respiratory rate 18, pulse oxygenation 98%, and temperature 97.2F. His pain scale was documented as 7/10.

The tattoo was a cartoon character located on his lateral left lower extremity wearing a hat and shirt in red dye ink, and other portions of the cartoon being in neon green ink. Erythema and mild edema were isolated to the borders of the tattoo and did not extend between the ink portions. The hat and shirt areas were open lesions, moist and tender with clear discharge. The areas with neon green ink was actively sloughing off and moist and tender. No fluctuance was noted.

What are your concerns as you examine this patient?

Dx: Hypersensitivity to Tattoo Ink

Although an acute inflammatory reaction commonly occurs due to the soft tissue injury from the injected pigments, these usually resolve after several weeks. This patient had a hypersensitivity reaction to tattoo ink. It has been reported in the literature that tattoo allergy typically develops as a reaction to the ink in the tattoo (Hansan & Voutsalath, 2009) and most frequently is a contact dermatitis or a photoallergic dermatitis. The pigment dyes used for tattooing are prepared from metal salts. Red tattoo pigments, especially those made from mercury sulfide (cinnabar) cause the most frequent allergic reactions whereas yellow tattoo pigment (cadmium sulfide) is responsible for most photoallergic reactions. Other pigments utilized to create blue (cobalt aluminate), green (chromium oxide, lead chromate, or phthalocyanine) and black tattoos (logwood, iron oxide, or carbon) are much less common. Black tattoo pigment has been rarely reported to cause an allergic reaction. Phototoxic reactions may also occur in red tattoos due to the addition of cadmium, which is added in small amounts to intensify the red tattoo pigment.

Paraphenylenediamine (PPD) is a common allergen found in tattoo ink, temporary tattoo inks, and henna tattoos (Hansan & Voutsalath, 2009). Thimerosal is a mercury based chemical also reported to cause allergic contact dermatitis reactions in tattoos, however, mercury derived inks have been removed from the market due to their adverse side affects (Breithaupt & Jacob, 2008).

Allergic reactions tend to worsen over time; each exposure to the offending agent will cause an even worse reaction (Cowley, 2008). It is not uncommon for a patient to report having had previous tattoos with no complications, then reporting redness, nonhealing, pruritis with a recent addition of tattoo ink (Cowley, 2008). One person reported a new tattoo causing previously described symptoms in a new tattoo, as well as a 4-year-old tattoo with colored ink (Wiki, 2011). This person was treated with silver sulphadiazine dressings for 2 weeks with the older tattoo remaining intact with color and the new tattoo losing all color (Wiki, 2011).

The literature recommends acute treatment with antibiotic ointment, hydrocortisone creams, anti-itch creams and cold compresses; some dermatologists would also prescribed some form of systemic steroid for treatment (Cowley, 2008). Laser therapy is also an option in removing the offending agent by fragmenting the ink particles to a size where the body’s immune system can remove them (Cowley, 2008). Vitamin E, aloe vera and Qeurcitin (flavonoid) are also beneficial in aiding the immune system in rejuvenation and healing of skin (Cowley, 2008).

The wound cleansed with soap and water, and xeroform dressing applied to wound. The patient was referred to the dermatology clinic for a wound follow up as well as laser removal of the tattoo.

Tattoo Infection 101 – How Do You Know If Your New Ink Is Infected

You don’t have to roll around in the mud like a pig to get a skin infection. In reality, complications are common when you or your artist forget to use your noggins.

Most people think that avoiding a tattoo infection during the tattoo healing and aftercare process is as simple as avoiding trashy tattoo parlors, or by declining requests from ink-aspiring artists that go by the name of “friends.”

The truth is, it’s just not that simple!

While skin infections reported are rather small, there are still a handful of ways to get an infected tattoo unexpectedly. Most of which will probably surprise you, and make you go, “why didn’t I even think of that?”

Today, I’d like to share with you all the ways to avoid a nasty infection, alongside all the symptoms to watch out for. From serious to minor signs, I’m going to cover them all below. Additionally, I’m going to give you an insider look at what treatment is like and cover the right time to seek help from a medical professional.

If you’re worried your new ink is already infected, this guide is for you. If you want to avoid infections altogether, either now or in the future, this guide is for you!

With that said, let’s dive into the world of unfortunate mistakes and their unintended consequences.

What causes infected tattoos and how to prevent it from happening to you:

By far, the number one cause of infected tattoos today stems from one thing: Improper aftercare.

I highly suggest and urge you to read the definitive guide to tattoo aftercare. I give it away for free because I got so sick and tired of hearing about people doing the wrong things with their new ink! It is by far, the most comprehensive guide on the planet! Most importantly, one you can actually trust because I follow it step by step myself and continually update it with the times.

The general causes:

Old school habits of giving out terrible advice.

1. Let’s face it, not every single tattoo artist out there is going to be up to date with the latest and greatest in ink aftercare. They just aren’t. A fair number are still stuck in their old school ways and have been giving out the same (terrible) advice for years and years. Most are simply tattoo artists, not medical professionals.

Unfortunately, the medical community doesn’t operate in the same way as they do. Health experts, doctors, and dermatologists are always discovering new treatments and putting closes to countless old wives tales of the past.

For instance, years ago everyone once believed that the skin needed to “breathe” after it was wounded. By that I mean you’d take the bandage off and expose an open flesh wound to the air. After studying the subject intensively, everyone in the medical realized the idea of letting a wound breathe was absolute madness! It’s far better to keep it wrapped up for a whole host of reasons. Many of which I cover extensively in the aftercare guides I’ve written.

In reality, you’ll still find artists out there who tell clients to let their new tattoo breathe. In fact, some stress it like doing so is super important to the healing process. It’s the kind of nonsense that makes you go what the heck!

Forgetting to give out aftercare advice in the first place.

2. While bad advice is a surefire way to end up with a tattoo infection, your chances increase when you come across an artist who either forgets to explain the process to you, or simply tells you to not even worry about it.

Personally, I’ve gotten tattoos where the artist acted as if aftercare was no big deal at all. Had I not brought up the question of what to do afterward, I would have left assuming the large flesh wound on my body would just magically heal up on its own, with no issues! While the body is capable of repairing itself, there are countless ways to hinder that process and really shoot yourself in the foot.

The specific and actual causes:

You:

1. Not using bandages or plastic wrap to create an occlusive seal which protects your flesh wound.

2. Removing the bandage too early. You must wait at least 4 to 5 hours before peeling it off. It’s the bare and absolute minimum. Ideally, you want to aim for around 8 hours. Or, removing the bandage too late. After 24 hours problems can start to occur. (This won’t directly cause an infection but bad habits can play a role.)

4. Not washing after removing the bandage, or failing to loosen up and remove dried lymph and coagulated blood from the surface. You can really set yourself up for an infection if you don’t wash your hands first or use a dirty sponge or washcloth. Never use a sponge or washcloth, only your hands. Your hands should be deep cleaned, with the knuckles, palms, fingernails, fingertips scrubbed and spotless. You must always, use soap!

5. Taking long showers and baths will make the healing process more difficult. However, things like swimming in pools, hot tubs, ponds and lakes are surefire ways to actually getting an infection.

6. Drying with a dirty hand towel or bath towel. Always ensure you are using fresh, just out of the washer and dryer towel or a brand new roll of paper towels to pat dry. Remember, an old towel that’s lying around could have been walked over by your dog, brushed up against the toilet, or used after someone failed to wash their hands thoroughly.

7. Allergic reactions can be confused with infections when it comes to using ointment. In some cases, using Neosporin for example, can be toxic when the body rejects it. It makes for a fatal situation that isn’t just red bumps popping up, it’s you popping into the hospital door for help.

8. Failing to keep your new tattoo clean. It’s critical that you wash, every couple of hours for the first three days. With soap, not just water! If you’re not sure which soap to use, try Tattoo Goo Deep Cleansing Soap. It’s specially designed for cleaning tattoos and is antibacterial, antimicrobial and pH-balanced.

9. Using expired or contaminated lotion. Check the expiration date on your bottles before applying any type of product to your skin. Believe it or not, but lotion isn’t just lotion in the sense. The ingredients in the formula can spoil and bacteria/mold can begin to form. Manufacturers can make accidental mistakes at their factories too.

10. For foot tattoos, infection can occur when wearing no socks or protective wrap with old, musty shoes. Consider all the times you tied your laces without washing your hands, or how often they’ve slid across dog poop in the grass.

11. Wearing dirty or soiled clothing. Remember, it’s going to rub up against your flesh wound. If you’re not protected, it’s going to invite bacteria in.

12. Exercising with a new tattoo a gym and failing to realize that an arm tattoo for instance, may rub up against a machine that thousands of other people have sweated all over and rubbed against. Some of which may have not taken a bath in a long time. If you don’t want to wear a long-sleeved t-shirt at the gym, try wearing a tattoo protection sleeve like this one from Tough Outdoors.

13. A dirty home. More specifically, dirty pillows and bed sheets. So many people forget to wash these after coming home with new ink! If you live with dogs you know how dirty bedding can get. Remember to always use the steam option on your washer/dryer if you have it, as it will cut back on any stubborn leftover bacteria.

14. Showing off your new tattoo to friends and actually letting them touch it! You don’t know where their hands have been at or what they have touched! In some cases people will peel back the wrap without realizing they just held their phone a moment earlier. Remember, your phone is swamping with bacteria, don’t do that!

15. Being in places or around people that are either ill or dirty. That could mean washing the dishes at a sink, going into a unsanitary public place, or perhaps scrubbing toilets.

16. Picking at scabs or scratching excessively.

Your artist:

For the most part, tattoo artists today are clean, abide by various health and safety regulations and don’t wish for anyone to get an infection. They want to make your experience as smooth as possible. While it’s possible for them to make mistakes from time to time, unless you’re in a really disgusting/trashy tattoo parlor, most of the time infections are caused by you, not your artist!

1. Failing to keep their workspace clean. If their shop has dirty floors, countertops with disgusting clutter, and a soiled chair run out the door!

2. Not performing any spore testing, or failing to do it at least once a month. Failing to use an Autoclave or Statim to sterilize their tools. Don’t be afraid to request the most recent test!

3. Failing to unseal a needle in front of you. Never let an artist use a needle that isn’t sealed or packaged.

4. Failing to pour pigments from single-use plastic vessels, or using pigment stored and removed from an unsanitary area. In rare cases, ink can be sealed, yet still contaminated from manufacturing errors unrelated to your artist.

It happens: A study in Europe examined 58 sealed bottles and found 10% were contaminated with bacteria known as a “mycobacterium chelonae,” alongside 17% of previously opened bottles. Granted, this does not happen every day, nor often enough to panic over.

5. Not thoroughly washing their hands/using gloves. Or simply eating, drinking, handling their phone, or touching pens and pencils, etc. while inking.

6. Using a dirty towel or dirty paper towels to remove oozing plasma or blood while inking.

Warning Signs of An Infected Tattoo And Symptoms

1. Overly Itchy: During the healing process you’re going to itch, especially when you start the peeling phase. Relax, it’s normal. If lotion and proper moisturizing aren’t working for you, then hydrocortisone cream (short term) may do the trick for the worst case scenario. However, if that doesn’t work, or the itchiness continues to persist at an uncomfortable level consult a health care professional.

2. Oozing: A bit of clear plasma and a little bit of red blood will happen to ooze out for a rather short period. It’s normal. However, when you see yellow, brown or green tinted slime or pus discharging from your flesh wound, you’ll need to stop and see a doctor immediately. While you might think it’s the color of the ink pigment leaking out, it’s not. Even in tiny amounts, you should take any discolored oozing seriously.
Oozing may add another symptom to take note of: Foul odor.

3. Tenderness and Pain: Your new ink will be a tad sore, it’s a flesh wound after all. That’s quite normal. If you start to feel deep pain or intense sunburn like surface pain that stings beyond your comfort level, go to the doctor. Even if you do not notice any oozing or other symptoms, pain can often be a good indication of an infected tattoo.

4. Red streaks: A minor redness for a short period is normal. However, red streaks, on the other hand, can indicate an infection that’s spreading around. It’s a classic, tell-tale sign to take note of. If you don’t notice streaks, you may see instead, a rash that seems to spread larger and larger. The rash can appear red and inflamed. However, an infection can be present even without immediate scabbing on the surface.

5. Swelling, Blistering, and Boils: Small bulges can indicate significant future problems. When a tattoo gets infected, the skin can balloon up like a pimple and fill with puss that will need to be drained by a medical professional. When the infection is dreadful, it can flow out like a rushing river from all the buildup.

7. Warmth: More than often it’s accompanied by other symptoms which are more noticeable like the red streaks for example.

8. Systemic Infection: It means the entire body is affected by things like weakness, fever, tiredness, or muscle aches, and so on. Take sepsis for example, which happens when chemicals are pumped into the bloodstream to ward off an infection. It triggers full body inflammation and starts a chain of reaction, which can lead to things like organ failure or worse. Understand that just because your flesh wound is in one single spot, doesn’t mean that your entire body is somehow going to be magically unaffected!

Other reactions: Let’s face it, allergies happen. Some of which have delayed reactions or immediate reactions. Things like cement dermatitis, eczematous eruptions, parakeratosis, and keloids are a reality for some people. Not to mention, things like hematoma, where a blood vessel getting punctured can leave things like scary looking bruises. To the untrained eye, simply eye-balling new body art issues is not going to paint a full picture. It won’t determine if something’s truly an allergic reaction or bacterial infection; it will just give you clues. Ultimately, a doctor can put together a puzzle from those clues, and give you the correct answer as to what’s really going on.

Before wrapping up this section, I’d like you to take a look at the Tattoo Peeling 101 guide. I’ve heard from countless people freaking out the moment their skin starts to peel or itch. It’s perhaps one of the most misdiagnosed “infections” people claim to have.

I don’t blame anyone for overreacting though. Regardless if it’s your first or fiftieth tattoo, it’s always best to play it safe. Just be informed about the peeling process for peace of mind!

What does an infected tattoo look like?

Tattoo infection treatment

When it comes to infected tattoos, treatment isn’t something you can DIY. Period! You must go to a hospital or doctor to restore your skin back to a clean bill of health. I don’t care if you think it’s too expensive, too time-consuming, or if you’re afraid of looking like an idiot who overacted. Trust me; you won’t!

Now, there are a few rules you must know about treatment. The comments below are just to set the expectation of what typically happens. Please don’t take bits and pieces of my advice and try to become your own health care wizard.

1. Go to the doctor as early as humanly possible. Don’t leave it to chance. Don’t assume your body will take care of it on its own. While the body can repair itself in many impressive ways with the immune system, it’s not always capable of fighting off a severe infection. Ultimately, a doctor will make that call. Most doctors will play it safe, not stupid!

If that wasn’t convincing enough for you, then perhaps you should know that a new, infected tattoo can often be salvaged if you seek treatment early on. Remember, ink is forever. Do you really want to remember the time when you were too lazy to get off your bum and be responsible for your own body?

2. Blood test. You’ll need one, and you’ll get one.

3. Antibiotics. You may end up taking Amoxicillin (The medicine you take for things like strep throat. Personally, I have fond memories of the bubble gum flavored pink liquid as a child.) for a week or longer. I’ve heard of others taking it twice daily for ten days in a row.

4. Draining. Depending on the severity, puss may be drained from the infected wound area. I’ll save you the details, as for most, it’s a rather disgusting process to witness.

5. Ultimately, your doctor will determine the next steps. They may opt for the use of different steroid creams with antibacterial or antifungal properties, and so on. In more serious cases like sepsis shock, which is life-threatening, you can expect to be hooked up to an IV and undergo more carefully monitored medical treatments.

In reality, skin infections can range from things like cellulitis to impetigo, herpes simplex, viral warts, atypical mycobacterial infection, etc. Of course, there are more significant blood-borne diseases too including leprosy, viral hepatitis, HIV, syphilis, etc.

In closing:

The truth is, tattoo infections are no joke!

By now you should know what to look for and what to do when you spot the symptoms. I’ve given you a nice insider look at treatment as well. In doing so, I hope you realize that when treated early, the process isn’t all that scary. When ignored, expect the worst!

Infections aren’t something that you just shrug off and hope for the best. Cleaning your wound more often and applying more ointment just isn’t going to cut it when you go beyond the point of no return.

A strict responsibility to following proper aftercare step by step can eliminate your chances greatly and significantly. Remember, infection are not all that common, but there are a lot of doofuses out there who ignore things like the importance of aftercare. They make stupid but simple, cross-contamination mistakes. Or they think that going to a trashy tattoo parlor because it’s “cheap” or getting inked by a shady friend because it’s “free” is entirely acceptable. (It’s not.)

Other doofuses take the advice of their tattoo artist’s opinion on aftercare without doing any research on their own. A fair amount simply aren’t up to speed and still believe in old wives tales. Do your aftercare homework, regardless of how your good your new ink looks, or how much you trust your artist, etc. You’ll be glad you did!

Sometimes infections happen by pure accident. The truth is, nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes from time to time without even realizing what we’ve done.

If you can avoid those mistakes above, then I have full confidence that you and your new ink, will be A-OK and infection-free!

90,000 To beat or not to beat. That is the question. Tattoos. Permanent make-up. – My Beauty Blog

Nobody knows the exact date of when the first tattoo was made. The oldest direction in the art of painting on the body has always been covered with mystery and each nation had a special meaning. In one culture, the signs carried a divine, noble meaning, in another, on the contrary, they were the mark of an outcast. For example, in the ancient Japanese province, as punishment, robbers were given a “special” mark on their faces. And in New Zealand and Polynesia, the people who got the tattoo were considered saints.

Tattoo began to be eradicated with the spread of Christianity. The ban was so severe that body painting practically ceased to exist on the territory of Europe.

Do you know where the word “tattoo” comes from? The legendary James Cook brought it to the Europeans from Tahiti.

The first European tattoo artists appeared in the 19th century. The masterpiece of that time is considered to be the reproduced painting by Leonardo da Vinci “The Last Supper” on the back of a desperate Englishwoman.

During the time of our parents ‘parents (USSR), the tattoo acquired a new meaning and became a symbol of the “Thieves’ world” and the main task was to identify within the hierarchy.

“Tattoo” – this is what my beloved grandmother and all her peers call my drawing on the back)

The first electronic tattoo machine was invented by an American in 1891. The fashion for tattoos always rolled like waves, then retreated and rolled again. Today is another fashion boom. Tattoo parlors are not only prestigious and profitable, but also in demand.

So to beat or not to beat? Asking this question to relatives, most often you can get the following reaction:

But in vain.A person who has expressed such a desire has already decided by 90%, and with or without your consent, he will do it. If you are parents, I strongly recommend asking what exactly your child has decided to fill, and allocate an appropriate (not small) amount of money for this. Otherwise, it will be in the basement, for some unknown reason, for a nominal fee.

To make a tattoo is not to draw with henna and you must understand this. I liked it, and then I got it – the option is excluded. You have to live with it.It’s not for nothing that they say – a tattoo is a second skin.

Why do people get tattoos? How many people I know with a tattoo – almost everyone decides to take this step under the influence of a strong emotional outburst. Put a point. Change. Prove something to someone. Perpetuate forever.

Remember the first and foremost rule. First of all, whatever it is, you need to do for yourself. And even more so on your body. The most stupid, I think, is the fixation of relations: the inscription of each other’s names, portraits, dates of the first kisses, and so on.

Before writing “I Love Seryozha” – think 1000 times if this is Seryozha. So that later, having fallen in love with Kolya, you do not have to sketch with butterflies. If there is a desire to devote life to the only one and to be together on earth and in heaven – a wedding. Here is the really correct solution.

Do not get tattoos spontaneously and in a fit of anger. You can have a haircut. Sooner or later, the hair will grow back, but the tattoo cannot be washed off. I recommend to “sleep” with this thought, and more than one night. You can draw the desired henna pattern, a week – the second, think whether you like it or not.

I wanted a tattoo for about a year. Knew where, but did not know what. I reviewed many photos, but I wanted something that would have a special meaning for me. Waited for the right moment. And he came.

I had a dream. I am an artist from the word “bad”, opening my eyes, I tried to sketch what I remembered. It was she. My. Not a template. Not an artist’s suggestion. And my subconscious. I know the meaning of every detail. Why exactly this way, not otherwise.

Do I regret getting a tattoo? No, not an ounce. But I regret choosing a tattoo artist. It seems to be on the recommendation and not for cheap … but …

How to choose the best tattoo specialist? Easy! Alas. Very difficult. Most importantly, he must be an artist. Must paint, create, create. But do not redraw for a carbon copy. Apparently, my master was a copyist, but not a tattoo artist. Now, I still want to find a real pro and finish what the previous one did not have enough imagination for.P.S. if you know talented guys – share your contacts).

A good master always has a turn. Sign up for a month, two in advance. The price is far from cheap.

Recommended a specialist friend. I warned you – sign up in advance. The queue is huge. I listened and signed up for another. Yours, he says, has a record for half a month, but this one has …

If no one – run from there.

They say … tattoo affects fate, consciousness ….I did not notice. Perhaps, if you draw skulls, portraits of the dead, satanic symbols. I have never heard anything like this about neutral designs.

They say that tattoo drawing is considered one of the church sins. Yes. Really. Tattoo is evidence of such sins as vanity, lack of self-respect, lack of hope in God.

They say there are no black tattoos. No. There is black paint, but their tattoos all look blue. There are many reasons. Depends on the thickness of the epidermis, the amount of melanin in the skin, the composition of the paint itself.Absolutely black is unattainable. On darker skin, the tattoo looks almost black. In white-skinned people – with a pronounced blue.

They say that all tattoos “float” over time. Not all. Only in a non-professional master, who pierced the skin too deeply and the paint got into the fat layer, blurred.

They say there are temporary tattoos. Tattoo – applied with a needle, forever. Only a drawing with henna and a felt-tip pen can be temporary.

They say that tattoo removal can be quick and painless. You can remove the drawing, but the scar will remain forever.

They say a lot more, but as a rule, few people listen. They go, do, and then look for ways to get rid of.

I do not recommend: to get a tattoo on a prominent meta. So that she does not flicker before your eyes. So that you do not constantly examine it and look for “floating” details.

to make a tattoo on those parts of the body that stretch during life.I lost weight – I got better. Namely – the stomach, buttocks, thighs.

– if there are problem areas, cellulite, for example, and with the help of a tattoo you want to hide it – the effect will be terrible. Drawings will also be added to the bumpy skin, attracting additional attention. The problem needs to be fixed, not masked. Moreover, in this way.

Recommend: – to draw an individual drawing, not a template from a catalog, and not like Riana’s. Turn on your imagination and come up with your own.If this is really a problem, a master-artist, for a fee, will draw a unique drawing, according to your wishes.

avoid small drawings with small details: faces, inscriptions, dates. If such a picture “floats”, it will be extremely difficult to restore. Rather, you will have to go to something else.

Does it hurt to get a tattoo? Depends on individual sensitivity in general and the location of the tattoo. Closer to the bone and in areas of especially delicate skin, it is quite painful. But, for example, on the back, I was pleased). Wonderful massage session.

Aftercare. The first time, 2-3 days, the tattoo should be regularly lubricated with ointment (Bepanten or d-Panthenol), which will not allow a crust to form. Avoid direct sunlight. After healing, if necessary, repeat the tattoo application. I only had one session. I didn’t repeat anything else. On the second day, I already went to workout and rocked the press on my back. The tattoo is still a deep dark color with a clear outline.

Why, having made one drawing, people though still and still? As in any field, there are fans of the case who will never be enough. It’s like with fans of plastic surgery. Having made one, they want to redraw themselves completely.

An interesting fact is that most people, having made a tattoo, do not want a new one yet, but to complete, remake an existing one. Especially when the drawing is in plain sight all the time: either we looked at a fuzzy outline, then the twenty-fifth flower is missing. That’s how it is with me.I don’t want a new one, but I’ll finish painting …)

Tattoo removal. Initially – there is nothing to fill, so that later you do not have to delete. It is impossible to delete a drawing permanently and without a trace. Although no, it is possible, if it is no more than 4 cm in size, made a very long time ago, with poor-quality paint, not very deep and after the expiration of the “expiration date” has lost its clarity, “floated”.

There will be a trace of removal, but not so large and noticeable. Never put a picture of Repin on the whole back.Is it possible to remove everything together with the skin.

Methods of disposal. Mechanical. Excision. Exactly what I described above. Removal of a skin area. There will be no drawing. There will be a good scar. In open areas and large areas, you know, not an option.

Coagulation method. Burning the surface of the skin with a tattoo with electric current, plasma or laser beam.

Chemical method. Using ointments and solutions. A re-tattoo is stuffed, but instead of paint, a solution is injected, which destroys the coloring pigment.A lot of sessions are needed.

No specialist can guarantee complete removal. Most often, using these methods, the tattoo is discolored as much as possible in order to cover it with a NEW pattern.

The laser remains the newest removal. If you have a small inscription, you can try, but if it is a dense, rather large drawing, it is better not to start. The salons promise to “clean it up” in 5-6 sessions. Laser hair removal is also promised, whoever reads – he understands what I mean. A bruise-like stain will remain at the site of removal. The before and after photos are good. The result is excellent. But they are silent about Photoshop. In life, everything does not look so smooth.

Removed a small scar. Surface. Laser. I did 4 procedures. Everything as it was and remained) Not a gram better. And this is a speck of 2 cm in size. How do they remove a tattoo using this method – I don’t know how.

And what will happen in old age? There will be a lot of things. First you need to live up to this moment.

What do people say – you care? Are you doing for yourself or for people? If this is a desired tattoo, then in 20 years it will become even dearer, you will love both stretched and faded)

Remember, tattoo removal and rework is 100 times more expensive than filling.

Permanent make-up. Permanent makeup.

Introduction of a colored pigment into the upper layers of the epidermis to create a make-up effect, contour of eyebrows, lips, eyelids. A relative of the tattoo in terms of the technique of execution, but the working material is fundamentally different. Over time, 3-4 years, the dyes dissolve and are processed by skin cells.

Who is tattooing suitable for? For those who cannot imagine life without makeup. Who draws eyebrows, arrows, contours the lips every morning.A wonderful opportunity to stay always wearing makeup, for people with intolerance to decorative cosmetics (allergies). The master will “make up” you once, and for a long time.

For me, tattooing as an aesthetic procedure is incomprehensible. And it seems to me, for many men too. I prefer a minimum of cosmetics. I love the natural look. A beautiful woman woke up right away, her father-in-law was wearing makeup – who said that it was the same thing ..? You can wake up wearing makeup and not a beauty .. one does not apply to the other.

In the song “Black Eyes” they mean thick dark eyelashes, eyebrows and brown eyes, but not blue arrows of 2 centimeters)

Of course, of course … who likes what … and tattooing is not the same. Here everything, again, depends on the master and his skill. The face is not * oops, it will not work to hide. Before you put on makeup for 5 years – think if you would like to be natural tomorrow and wash everything off your face.

Permanent make-up is done in almost all hairdressing salons, and every manicurist considers it a duty as a bonus to offer a permanent make-up. And in truth – I drew a jacket in a straight line – and I will bring out the arrows ..

Pigments for permanent make-up are produced in laboratories and are tested for several years before entering the market. As well as drugs for injections, they have a license, a guarantee, and certificates of conformity.

Quality dyes must be UV resistant. Discharge evenly from fabrics. Have a sufficiently long decay period of particles. These dyes lighten gradually, without significant discoloration. But the tattoo is of unknown origin and behaves in an unknown manner.

Of 10 girls with tattoo, beautiful, natural, natural, done by one. The rest have red-headed arrows, blue, red, red eyebrows, like an inflamed, floating border of the lips. And all because when going for a pedicure, they decide to do permanent make-up for the company.

It seems to me much better to touch up the necessary places with a pencil. Wanted – put on makeup, wanted – washed. Today the eyebrows are a house, and tomorrow with a stick. If you want – wide. If you want – narrow.

If, nevertheless, you finally decided that you need to be “like on the New Year” day and night during the parade – do it. Only a professional, not a friend of Svetka, who had a drawing unit.Do, just not war paint, but natural thin lines that will emphasize your merits, and will not become a disadvantage. So that you beat lightly painted, not painted over.

RSP – a divider with a trailer. Why not get involved:
In the absence of rich parents, the RSP faces an urgent task:
to ensure the survival of themselves and their offspring in this harsh world, or significantly increase
the level of existing comfort. At the same time, the asset has a very dry and worn-out appearance with an abundance of fat and cellulite everywhere, and
“spaniel ears” instead of boobs. With such introductory information, it is no longer up to the search for the prince

– there is too little free time, they do not want to lose
“in vain”.
Before entering into a serious relationship with the RSP, you should be well aware of the following facts:
entering into such a relationship, a man does not create his own family, and
only joins on the bird’s rights to an already existing incomplete family;
from one third to one half of its childbearing resource has been used due to age;
someone else’s child – the clearest reminder that the female in the past
belonged to another man, a constant source of problems,
is a consumer of forces and means that he will not appreciate; For the RSP,
men are exclusively a supplier of financial and
material goods, household services, while the desires and comfort of the
men themselves do not matter. He will always be at most fourth in
of her list: after the child of the RSP, herself and her mother. And the minimum place in this list
will be determined by another five friends who are close to her in spirit and status, whose advice she will actively use;
the fact of divorce with children already in itself signals about
the female’s inability to live together,
inability to find a compromise in relationships, about excessive demands and ambitions,
infantility and hypertrophied egocentrism;
she has nothing to lose: worse than she is (one with a backbite on her neck),
will be gone. The bonus is the experience of divorce and knowledge in legal
issues;
In especially advanced cases, the consequences of divorce can be mental disorders and latent hatred of the opposite sex.
Cons – you are an idiot … There are no pros.
Voluntary surrender of oneself into slavery to a thrown and someone else’s spinognaw.
Find yourself a titted eighteen year old and roll her any way you want.

What can you say about this girl’s tattoo?

One thing I can say is a very bad tattoo….

On tanned skin, irregularities are less noticeable, but tanning does not hide cellulite. However, once the tan has faded, cellulite may become even more evident. Love these 10 foods and your skin will not age. Can you beat age?

Not greetings. Wildness.

Girls, okay, they have nothing to do, they sit on gratuitous grubs of mom and dad, and in moments of boredom they experiment with their skin: Tattoos, piercings, etc. For example, no girl loves me because of the huge number of scars from the scars received in the 1996 Balkan campaign. So I think … and whether it is necessary to criticize them for it?

I don’t know how true, but knowledgeable people write this, according to criminal concepts it is a mark of a pickpocket.
The spider’s head looks down – tied up, up – continues to live a thief’s life,

And it is better for girls not to get tattoos.

Crap …

Actually, I do not consider a small neat tattoo “ugliness”, as they said above, and even more so near the wrist – in my opinion, this is the most suitable place for a tattoo (if, of course, the girl wants the drawing was constantly in the field of view of others during the warm season). But, unfortunately, I don’t like the tattoo itself. Do not know…. … Somehow she makes an unpleasant impression, and I just want to get rid of this scorpion of hers as soon as possible. IMHO, of course.

I do not welcome tattoos. But if the girl already has it, then this will not in any way affect my attitude towards her (the girl).

God, what evil people, I treat a tattoo as a decoration of the body, many different interesting riddles in a tattoo, what’s so bad about that? If this is the same art as painting and graphics! I love beautiful, kind tattoos, and not on the topic of death, murder, the dead.

I don’t know, of course, this is the girl’s business, even if she does what she wants, but ultimately tattoos like this still mean something, especially in the criminal world, so you need to at least approach this case wisely. Maybe she just did it, now in general there is such a fashion for tattoos, and it has little to do with the subculture and the crime. I have two acquaintances or even more got tattoos – well, just like that, I don’t know why.People have nothing to do, probably.

as for the opinion. well, strong and it seems that the choice of this particular tattoo does not make sense, given the name of the spider.))) in short, in my opinion it is good.

Cellulite can be completely hidden. It happens that you do not have time to prepare for the beach season, an unexpected trip to warm countries can lose its charm if you do not feel confident.

She’s a fool.

Nice little tattoo, just like a star).
In general, many girls aged 19-25 prick themselves a lot of unnecessary things, and then bite their lips, what have they done to themselves…. … The main thing. so that later she herself will not be disappointed in her. And so that the future husband of spiders is not afraid))) (and even more so for the “Black Widows” had no prejudices, otherwise at first he will clap her hand every morning – try to beat the spider)))).
But there is only one drawback – in our country they are very prejudiced towards people with tattoos and may not be accepted for work in the company. Of course, you can hide it under clothes, but you can’t always hide this. And my teachers generally believed that tattooed people should be sent for psychology research (by the way, in most universities in the country there is the same bad attitude).
By the way, it hurts a lot. probably it was a tattoo on the wrist to do. Strong in character, probably a girl

My mother at 28 did on the shoulder blade, being already twice a mother, did not notice that they laughed at her or called her a whore, although the tattoo was somewhat frivolous. and the mother-in-law is generally 43, also on the shoulder blade and also somewhat frivolous. and this also did not prevent her from remarrying.

It seems to me that in most cases the aunts still behave more dishonestly. At least 50% of men make beautiful gestures like, I’m leaving and I don’t need anything except a toothbrush. And the women are quarrelsome, they begin to cling to every rag. So I think it’s a fifty-fifty.

They want to show themselves even more what they really are!

There is no need to lie or pretend, and the truth is not always pleasing to the ear.And best of all, leave the last word for the woman. The crown will not fall off the head.

They think they are super-men, and then they were abandoned! Omitted that is (according to their concepts). And since they are physically stronger than us, they take revenge as best they can. Goats!

Such questions kill. First, not all men are the same. And secondly – far from all women are “white and fluffy”. Something like this.

What is cellulite | Causes of cellulite

1.Cellulite – body fat or disease?

Cellulite is not ordinary obesity. The French Ministry of Health, for example, has already officially recognized it as a subcutaneous fatty tissue disease. Depending on the processes occurring in the tissues, there are fatty, edematous and fibrous forms of cellulite. The latter is the most difficult to treat.

2. Who is affected by cellulite?
Cellulite affects eight out of ten women – regardless of age, physique, weight and physical activity. It can form as early as fourteen years old.

3. What is cellulite?
In healthy adipose tissues, the waste products of the cell exit through the pores of the cell membrane and are carried away by the blood stream. Violations of this mechanism lead to cellulite: the pores of the membrane are blocked, the waste products of the cell are not excreted, and the cell itself is calcified. Such cells group and form in the connective tissue islets that are hard to the touch, which block blood supply and lymphatic drainage, which leads to further calcification of fat cells. If at the same time the nerve endings are squeezed, painful sensations arise. In addition, cellulite cells tend to attract water, causing the affected areas to swell.

4. What are the causes of cellulite?
As studies in recent years have shown, the main reason is hormonal disorders. Impact moments in the development of cellulite – pregnancy, adolescence and menopause, the beginning and end of the course of taking contraceptive pills. The development of cellulite is also influenced by unhealthy diet, stress, environmental pollution, and insufficient physical activity. Hereditary predisposition also plays an important role.

5. How is cellulite diagnosed?
To do this, lightly squeeze the skin with your thumb and forefinger: the appearance of bumps – the so-called “orange peel” – indicates the initial stage of cellulite. It usually attacks the thighs, buttocks, hamstrings, upper arms, and abdomen.6. Do special creams help with cellulite?
Anti-cellulite creams are a good prophylactic agent: they are effective if the cells have retained their normal working capacity. If cellulite has already gained strength and cell pores are practically blocked, even creams containing aminophylline, a recently discovered substance that promotes the release of fat from fat cells, is unlikely to help.

7. What methods are used today to treat cellulite?
Anti-cellulite massage is an effective prophylactic agent: it improves blood circulation.
The most effective method of fighting cellulite is a combination of massage and pressotherapy!
Pressotherapy is a lymphatic drainage massage that helps to restore the flow of lymph and venous blood. Lymph not only nourishes and protects our body, but also cleanses it. In figure correction programs, the main task of this method is to maximize the lymphatic drainage of the lower extremities and to stimulate the withdrawal of the decay products of adipose tissue into the extracellular space through the lymphatic system.Pressotherapy is best used after lipolytic (fat-splitting) procedures.

Pressotherapy is especially recommended for those with acute venous insufficiency and poor blood supply to the lower extremities. This procedure is considered an excellent way to prevent varicose veins and relieve the symptoms of “tired” and “heavy” legs. Pressotherapy is also prescribed for people with a sedentary lifestyle: office workers, drivers, in general, everyone who spends most of their working time standing or sitting.

Center for Aesthetic Medicine Irina Dombrovskaya

Based on the suggestions received from the readers of New Vologda, our third article will focus on cellulite. On the eve of summer, this aesthetic problem becomes relevant for almost every woman. The notorious “lemon peel” excites the minds of the fair sex no less than work, household chores, shopping and your favorite TV series.Everything is known about cellulite and nothing is known. We will try to solve some of the riddles in our article.

History and painting

Many brilliant artists from different eras admired the female body. Rubens, Titian, Da Vinci, Manet, Renoir, Rembrandt lovingly depicted dimples on women’s thighs. In the days of lush toilets, no one worried about the fact that the skin was flabby and dimpled. Cellulite was, but did not suffer from it. Everything changed in the middle of the twentieth century with the emergence of a new ideal of a woman: slim, with a flat stomach, small buttocks and even skin.It was then that women’s suffering began … Cellulite has become a symbol of neglect, wilting and an unhealthy lifestyle.

Cellulite – what is it from?

During certain periods of a woman’s life (pregnancy, puberty, etc.), there is an increase in the production of sex hormones (estrogens, etc.). I will not describe their effect on the body in general, I will only say that this leads to an increase in the permeability of blood vessels, the fluid from which rushes into the tissues and intercellular edema occurs, and blood supply deteriorates.First of all, this affects those tissues that are initially poorly supplied with blood – such as subcutaneous tissue. Connective tissue begins to develop in it, which deforms the fiber, creating a “lemon peel”.

It is important to emphasize that cellulite (in this understanding of this term) is not a disease, every woman has, being a variant of the physiological norm of the female body. All methods of cellulite correction are aimed at combating its external, visible manifestations, transferring it to an early stage, invisible to the strict male gaze.

Lifestyle

Among the many factors contributing to the development of cellulite, I will highlight bad habits, frequent stress, inaccuracies in the diet, age, hormonal imbalance, somatic diseases. In matters of proper nutrition, dear women, you know as well as I do. Let’s focus on other reasons. Physical inactivity is a faithful companion of cellulite: first of all, cellulite appears where the circulation of blood and lymph is impaired due to muscle inactivity. And with motionless, “office” work, women’s hobby for driving, the problem becomes widespread. It is aggravated by wearing tight, tight clothing and high-heeled shoes. The problem will disappear by itself if you spend more time walking in the fresh air. And if we add Sunday jogging to this … A daily contrast shower with subsequent gommage has a positive effect on blood circulation.

Smoking and stress

Smoking also contributes to the development of cellulite. How?

1). Nicotine destroys vitamin C, which, in turn, affects the condition of the skin and connective tissue.
2). With each cigarette smoked, the body receives a portion of toxins that adversely affect the condition of your skin.
3). Nicotine interferes with proper blood circulation, which negatively affects metabolism.

As you can see, a woman who smokes is an aid to the development of cellulite. Naturally, it would be good to completely get rid of this bad habit, or at least drastically reduce the number of cigarettes smoked per day. However, if it is impossible to quit smoking, you need to regularly take vitamin complexes, and the daily intake of vitamin C should be doubled (smoked a cigarette – ate an apple).

Stress has a negative effect on the subcutaneous tissue. Ability to avoid stressful situations, confrontation with adversity and the art of relaxation are an additional barrier to cellulite.

Which procedure is most effective?

If there was one procedure that helps in all cases, then others simply would not exist. Therefore, it is so necessary for a woman who has finally decided to fight cellulite to consult an experienced specialist who will not only select the necessary technique, but will also monitor the course of therapy and correct it in the future. In no case should you listen to your friends (“it helped me, but this did not”), trust your intuition, go on about advertising. It is imperative to start with a consultation. I can note that the greatest results are achieved not by those who go to the same procedure they like every day, but by those who use optimally selected combinations of techniques, scheduled in a certain sequence.

A little humor 🙂

– “In a week to Turkey. I hach the figure of Jennifer Lopez. Any money! ” 🙂
– “There will be bruises. Necessarily. Let’s break fat! ” 🙂
– “My God !!! I’m covered in cellulite !!! ” 🙂
– “Well, everything is clear, on Saturday it seemed to her that she had cellulite and since Monday we have been on a diet. Crap!” 🙂
– “I bought a gel for cellulite and I’m sitting, thinking: where would I smear it, so much so that I could lose weight everywhere and at once, it became even the most ridiculous, because, as I could smear it, I won’t miss… “:-)
