With Dramamine, Relieve Motion sickness & Nausea In Minutes
1. How long does Dramamine last?
Dramamine’s effects last for 24 hours but all motion sickness symptoms normally go away after 4 hours. Make sure you take Dramamine in the evening and see how your body responds to it.
2. Is Dramamine safe?
For some people and in some circumstances, it could be useful & safe temporarily. Medication is just to help people get a bit of relief to think clearly, numb symptoms, and help them get their feet on track. If someone is feeling absolutely imploded, drugs temporarily help.
3. Is Dramamine safe for pregnancy?
It is unknown whether Dramamine will harm a pregnant woman or not. This drug should be taken only when absolutely necessary. Consult your doctor about its risks and rewards. But the company says it is formulated with ginger extract to relieve nausea naturally and therefore safe for pregnant women.
4. Can you drink with Dramamine?
Taking alcohol with Dramamine may exacerbate the side effects, irregular heartbeat, fainting, and others. It is possible to overdose on Dramamine on its own or to blackout due to excessive alcohol consumption. The combination of alcohol and Dramamine can also be toxic to liver function.
5. Is Dramamine good for vertigo?
Medications, such as dimenhydrinate (Dramamine) and meclizine (Bonine), are best for treating acute vertigo. These medications are eventually weaned because they can prevent long-term healing. They target brain areas that process these conflicting signals and help cure them.
6. Does Dramamine make you sleepy?
Dramamine has been utilized as a sleep aid because diphenhydramine, a primary component of Dramamine, induces drowsiness around 20 minutes after taking this. It’ll take down a person’s cognitive functioning, and can make you feel sleepy, not for long though.
7. How long does Dramamine last in your system?
Dramamine will start kicking in about an hour, not sooner than that. You have to swallow it, let it digest by the body, and get absorbed in your bloodstream. Dramamine is a long-lasting formula that works for up to 24 hours.
8. Does Dramamine make you drowsy?
Dramamine is a well-known over-the-counter medication. It helps reduce motion sickness symptoms; however, it is an antihistamine and, as with all antihistamines, it may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and reduced mental alertness. For some people and in some circumstances, it can make you feel drowsy, while in others, it may not.
9. Is Dramamine good for nausea?
Dramamine can be used to treat minor nausea, vomiting symptoms, and it is linked with other diseases such as the flu or food poisoning. Dramamine is helpful “when required” in cases to treat infrequent nausea symptoms or taken on a regular basis to prevent chronic nausea.
10. Is Dramamine safe for kids?
Do not give this drug to a kid under the age of two. Before providing an antihistamine like Dramamine to a child, always consult a doctor. Antihistamine usage can result in death in extremely young children. It is also not advisable for a breastfeeding mother.
11. Are Benadryl and Dramamine the same thing?
To relieve motion sickness, you can use either over-the-counter medications containing dimenhydrinate (Dramamine) or diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Dimenhydrinate contains between 53% and 55.5 percent dimenhydrinate by weight. The key difference is Benadryl has a lower efficacy because it is combined with 8-chlorotheophylline.

Raya Island. Excursion from Phuket to a tropical beach
20 kilometers from Phuket is a small tropical island of Paradise (Raya Island). It is also called Racha or Racha Yai (Ko Racha Yai). We went on an excursion to Racha and are in a hurry to share our feedback. The tour price includes transfer from the hotel and back, speedboat and lunch on the island.
Racha Island
Racha Island: how the tour goes
The tour started at 8 am when a minibus came to pick us up at the condo. On the way we stopped at a couple of hotels and by 9have already been in the Chalong beach area, from where speedboats depart for Racha. First, all tourists are collected at the office of the travel agency. Here you can have a cup of coffee. There are toilets and showers. You can rent fins.
Hotels on Koh Racha Yai
You can go to Racha with an excursion or stay at a hotel for a few days.
What surprised us at first was that there were practically no Russian and European tourists here. Some Chinese. Of course, we assumed that since the tour was in English, the group would be international, but that it was Chinese, turned out to be a surprise.
After 20 minutes, the tourists were divided into small groups, 20 people each, and everyone went to board the boats. There were two more Europeans in our group, the rest were Chinese comrades. Everyone on board was given life jackets.
Racha island and excursion program
On the way we admired the islands. The waves were small, the boat did not shake and did not even rock anyone. Before the island of Racha Yai rushed for half an hour. While moored, our guide told the excursion program:
- Snorkeling at 11:20 am
- Lunch at 12:30
- Return at 15:20
The guide constantly broke into a smile and answered all questions. He completely controlled the situation on the island and did not deprive anyone of attention
All day long we will relax on the snow-white beach of Patok Beach. The tour program includes snorkeling, masks and tubes are given free of charge, but this is optional. Lunch is also included in the price.
Racha Beach
Racha has an excellent white sand beach. There are few shadows, no sun loungers and umbrellas, but in the morning you can find shelter from the sun. We were lucky with the shade, the weather was cloudy most of the day. Turquoise water bottle. There are rocks at the bottom, so we advise you to bring swimming shoes with you. We read reviews before the trip, so we took rubber shoes with us and swam without problems. It was a pity to watch the girls, who made their way through the corals in pain. For the first time, Katya also went into the water barefoot and stepped painfully on a stone.
Racha beach
We will have lunch in this cafe. Nobody is chasing you. The water is very clean and clear. The boats do not interfere, stand aside, so the entire beach is suitable for swimming. In our rubber shoes, there was no inconvenience to walk on the stones to the depth.
Viewpoint
There is a small viewpoint in the right corner of the beach. The guide told us about this viewpoint in a secret, they say, the site is located on the territory of the hotel, but you can safely go there. We were the only tourists there, no one interfered, and since there is enough time for everything on this excursion, there is no need to rush anywhere, we were also able to enjoy a wonderful view without fuss.
For some reason, there is a sign of the Raya Resort hotel on the observation deck, although this hotel is located on the other side of the island
View of Koh Racha Yai beach
On this side of the chic hotel The Racha
We noticed a little to the right and below a bench on a cliff. We spent half an hour there.
By the way, the stones here are strewn with small round poop. Apparently mountain goats or some other game live on the island.
Snorkeling
The excursion program includes snorkeling. All those wishing to dive with a mask return to the boat at a certain time and go to the other side of the island in Kon-Kea Bay. Katya and I split up, she stayed to sunbathe, and I went diving. But I was not lucky, there were small jellyfish in the water, not dangerous, but still unpleasant to swim when you literally rake them with your hands. So, I dived for 5 minutes and climbed aboard. The rest of the tourists did not pay attention to the jellyfish and swam for fun. In total, snorkeling is given for about 45 minutes. At this time, Katya enjoyed the beach, swam and even slept. Full relax.
Lunch
Lunch takes place in a restaurant on the rocks on the right side of the beach. The buffet is not varied, but everything is quite tasty, especially when hungry. What was from the food: regular rice, fried rice with vegetables, coleslaw, onion rings, chicken and tom yam soup without meat and shrimp. There were no fish dishes. Fruit platter, which can be taken twice if left. From drinks water, tea, coffee.
Monitor lizards
Another interesting feature of Racha is that large monitor lizards live here. Cats somehow get along peacefully with them. Monitor lizards roam freely in the forest. People aren’t attacked, but it’s best not to tease or get too close. The monitor lizard does not even need to bite a person, it is enough to hit with its tail.
Monitor lizards the size of a small crocodile
This is how openly monitor lizards walk along the roads in the interior of the island. They don’t get out on the beach
The second beach of Siam Bay
After lunch, when all the tourists returned to sunbathe on the beach, we went to look for a way to the second beach, which is located on the other side of the island. It’s not intuitively clear where to go. They asked in a cafe. It turns out that from the cafe you need to climb up the stairs and through a small copse. The road just runs through the area where monitor lizards live. We cautiously, looking around, set off on our way. Kate was creepy.
A road through the jungle with monitor lizards. We didn’t meet a single person along the way
We saw some unusual flowers on the trees. Connoisseurs, suggest the name!
According to the map, these 2 beaches are quite close, but it takes about 10 minutes to stomp on foot. There is even a tractor transfer for euro-pensioners for 100 baht. We went down the mountain and went to the beach.
Siam Beach turned out to be almost deserted. There are no tourists from excursions here. Rayaburi Resort guests only. It was low tide when we arrived, so the beach was unsuitable for swimming. Very petty.
Phuket can be seen in the distance
We walked a little along the coast, enjoying the deserted beach and wonderful views of the tropical island.
By the way, the bottom here is also not the most pleasant for walking barefoot. Also, thousands of discarded tiny jellyfish are lying on the shore, because of which my snorkeling did not take place.
We return to the first beach
We walked for about 10 minutes and returned back to the first beach. We still had about 2 hours of swimming time. How great and unusual it is when no one is in a hurry on an excursion, there is enough time for a photo, and for swimming, and even for independent walks.
We also returned to Chalong Pier. In the office of the travel agency, we quickly changed clothes, and then we were assigned to minibuses and all were taken to hotels. The houses were around 5 pm.
Racha island video
A short video with the best views of Racha: motorboat, landing on the pontoon pier, Patok beach, swimming, view from the restaurant at low tide, Raya resort observation deck and a deserted beach in Siam bay.
Excursion to the island of Racha: our reviews
Excursion to Racha takes place in an atmosphere of relaxation. In fact, this is not even an excursion, you are simply brought to the island and you rest on it all day. There is no need to rush anywhere and run around the sights. The guide does not tire with his stories, you do whatever you want all day. You can swim for hours in turquoise water without waves, then go to a cafe and drink a beer or something else cold. That is, this excursion is for relaxation, you don’t get tired of it, like from ordinary excursions. She’s not loaded. A program for those who want to have a blissful day on the island.
