ENDOSCOPY — Gastroenterologist — Ultrasound of the gallbladder, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy in Kaliningrad

Endoscopy — examination of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract using a flexible endoscope inserted through natural openings (mouth, nasopharynx, rectum).

Modern endoscopic systems are equipped with high-resolution video cameras with computer processing of the obtained images of the internal surface of the gastrointestinal tract.

Computer processing, digital and optical magnification makes it possible to emphasize the differences in color, structure, relief of healthy and pathological sections of the gastrointestinal mucosa, even of the smallest sizes.

The main direction of modern endoscopy is the earliest possible diagnosis of precursor conditions of malignant neoplasms of the mucosa of hollow organs, or the recognition of existing neoplasms at the earliest (preinvasive stages).

This possibility allows, using minimally invasive intraluminal treatment technologies, to save the patient from the whole complex of aggressive therapeutic measures associated with the treatment of common forms of malignant neoplasms.

An inseparable part of diagnostics in gastroenterology is cytohistological examination of the material obtained from biopsy.

In our gastroenterological center, these studies are carried out by leading pathologists of the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine (St. Petersburg).

Flexible Endoscopy Equipment:

Pentax EPK i7000 Video Processor is a high resolution image processing module using advanced i-scan technology. The flagship model in the line of endoscopic processors. Includes all the latest advances in medical technology engineering for endoscopy.

Produces crisp, high quality images with natural color reproduction and good contrast for easy detection of suspicious mucosal areas and hard to see details. Filters are applied to compensate for the shaking of the operator’s hand and to suppress noise, glare and other artifacts.

Produces a bright and uniform beam of cold light that enhances color reproduction and facilitates easy visualization of mucosal architecture.

The image correction mode emphasizes the structures of the vasculature, tissues and pathological changes. Simultaneously projects both a white light image and an enhanced “i-scan” image. Due to this, it is almost impossible to make a mistake in the diagnosis.
Equipped with the latest 10-series endoscopes.

Unit combines
magnifying endoscopy;
– narrow band endoscopy;
– special tools for processing and archiving video images.

The device allows to perform actual intravital microscopy during examination of the stomach and colon.

The nasogastroscope can be inserted into the body through the nasopharynx, which is important for patients who perceive anesthesia negatively, or who have a pronounced gag reflex to enter the gastroscope through the mouth.

A modern colonoscope makes it possible to identify the smallest tumor at an early stage, establish its boundaries, mark it, and then remove it using electrosurgical equipment (EMR, ESD).

If the gastric lumen is narrowed more than the permissible norm, with the help of our equipment it is possible to introduce a special stand to the patient and restore this lumen.

Functional gastroenterology:

A complex of diagnostic methods that allows you to evaluate the functional parameters of the gastrointestinal tract online.

Endoscopic pH measurement: determination of gastric acidity and mapping of gastric acid production zones.

Short-term pH measurement with functional tests: assessment of basal and stimulated acidity. Accounting for the effect of prescribed antiulcer therapy.

Endoscopy in gastroenterology – Center of Family Medicine – “DemArc”

Fibrogastroscopy in the clinic “DEM-ARC”

In the clinic “DEM-ARC” a gastroenterologist of the highest category, endoscopist of the first category Bratchik Oksana Vladimirovna

You can sign up for a fibrogastroscopy procedure
  • by phone +7 (978) 706-03-20, +7 (978) 048-73-02
  • at the address: Simferopol, st. Frunze, 35
Fibrogastroscopy (FGDS, fibroesophagogastroduodenoscopy):

diagnostic examination of the upper parts of the digestive system (esophagus, stomach, duodenum) with a special device – endoscope.

The advantage of endoscopy at the Dem-Ark clinic

  • the procedure is performed by a highly qualified endoscopist, gastroenterologist with many years of experience working with both children and adults;
  • endoscopy is a modern diagnostic method that allows to study the mucous surface of an organ with high accuracy and identify the smallest deviations from the norm;
  • the procedure is carried out on a modern device Fujinon (manufactured in Japan), the advantage of which is a thin flexible pediatric endoscope ( 5.8 mm!!! ), suitable for testing both children and adults;
  • the possibility of taking a biopsy during the gastroscopy procedure;
  • determination of the presence of Helicobacter pylori during the fibrogastroscopy procedure.

An endoscope is a long, thin, flexible tube with a lens and a camera at the end. The endoscope allows you to accurately examine the mucous surface of the body and identify the smallest deviations from the norm.

Gastroscopy is a modern, informative method for diagnosing the following diseases:

  • acute and chronic gastritis, duodenitis, esophagitis;
  • gastric and duodenal ulcer;
  • reflux disease;
  • polyps, erosions;
  • gastrointestinal bleeding;
  • oncological diseases.

Gastroscopy can also be prescribed in the postoperative period in order to monitor the patient’s condition after surgery and to control the effectiveness of conservative treatment.

There are a number of contraindications to the fibrogastroscopy procedure:
  • Hypertensive crisis;
  • Cardiovascular and/or respiratory failure;
  • Arrhythmia;
  • Myocardial infarction;
  • Aortic aneurysm;
  • Heart defects;
  • Stroke;
  • Mental disorders in the acute stage;
  • Severe inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus;
  • Dysphagia.
Preparation for the procedure of fibrogastroscopy

Fibrogastroscopy is performed strictly on an empty stomach: the last meal and water should be at least 12 hours before the procedure.
