I have struggled to find a birth control that works for me without making me overly hormonal and Nikki is the first one out of at least 6 different medications that worked for me. I do get break through bleeding if I miss a pill, but it’s gone within a day. Overall, I have very positive things to say about this.

This was the worst birth control I’ve ever been on. Usually I don’t have negative side effects with any medication but this one I definitely did. I started this pill and started having daily migraines which I’ve never had in my life. I mean, I’m not pregnant so that’s the only positive outcome of using this pill. Before starting, I had mild acne with the one time a month cystic pimple. Now I have multiple cystic blemishes at all times, as well as my face looking the worst it ever has.
First starting, I had morning sickness and extreme fatigue. I did gain some weight which I appreciated. I had breakthrough bleeding for 3 weeks after starting.
If I take my pill an hour late, I will be bleeding for a day or two after. Cramps are so painful and bleeding is very heavy for me now.
3 months into it I get bad headaches that last a day if not 2. I’m extremely emotional and that’s unusual for me. I cry easily, get so upset and can’t let it go even if it’s over nothing. I feel depressed, when there’s nothing in my life that is not right. I am still having fatigue, and depression has made me lose the weight I originally gained.
On top of depression, I don’t get as wet as I used to, lower sex drive, I just feel upset all the time and wanting to go to bed. And it’s causing fights with my boyfriend. If you already have high estrogen, I wouldn’t recommend taking this. I’m only taking it because I ordered it off of a birth control app and this was my only option. Read More Read Less

At first, I had a REALLY hard time on this medication. I had horrible breakouts (and cystic acne which I haven’t had in yrs) and cried all the time for no reason. I wanted to quit before the 3 month adjustment period was up. Then I read the reviews and it seemed like everyone who quit before 3-5 months were writing the negative reviews. I decided to wait it out and it was worth it. I do occasionally get a blemish or two, but I feel in control of my emotions now after 5 months. Almost done with week 3 of Nikki. I am 30 and have had severe acne since I was 12. For the first time in my life I am starting to feel confident about my face. So I started with Blisovi. I was severely depressed it was to the point of wanting to commit suicide. So I switched to Nikki. Both pills stopped my migraines which is why I started. With Nikki, I did not have a period or migraines (yay!). However, I have to write a review on this because I went mad. Just like the other reviews, it was cathartic for me to read these because I thought I was losing my mind. I have had ridiculous anger, meltdowns, spontaneous crying, and even sociopathic thoughts. I’ve lost all sex drive and interest in life. My suicidal thoughts came back full swing. I’m a very laidback people loving person before and after Nikki. The danger this did to my mental health was worse than my weekly migraines and that’s saying something. I used Nikki about 2 years ago. They way it cleared up my cystic acne so fast was unbelievable. I was on it for about a year and I started to have break through bleeding for days. I would never miss a pill as it became part of my nightly routine. I went off of it and now I am back in it 2 years later because of my acne. It cleared it right up but now about a year into it again, I am bleeding again. I started taking Nikki after I got nexplanon removed for bad side effects This bcp is destroying me. I have so many side effects I thought my thyroid was failing and I even got blood work done to try to figure out why I feel so horrible all of the time. I have always been skeptical of birth control and have never wanted to go on it. I decided to try this out after last trying Loestrin years ago and hating it. I’ve been on Nikki for three months now and I’ve really liked it. I have IBS and I think this helps with my bloating. My breasts grew a little (I was a B cup now I’m a C). At first I noticed slight acne, but now I think it’s clearing up more. My skin feels softer overall. Periods are lighter and range from 2 to 4 days. I still get cramps. Emotional PMS can sometimes be a lot to handle. But fortunately the whole process is quicker than when I’m not on the pill. Main side effect I experienced the first month and a half was nausea. The nausea got pretty bad too, sometimes I had to call off work because of it. But now, after three months, I do not deal with nausea anymore. I feel calmer and more chill too. I switched onto this birth control pill from another brand of pills, on my previous brand I had no issues with spotting or side effects. Nikki birth control caused me sporadic bleeding / spotting and I had 3 yeast infections during the 3 months i was on this pill when I had never had a yeast infection before. I switched off this birth control last month and i’m still mildly experiencing these side effects. Nikki birth control sucks.

Pharmacy gave Nikki as replacement for Gianvi when discontinued. I had been on Gianvi for many years. Within a couple of months, had breakthrough bleeding for the first time ever, cystic acne, severe mood swings, suicidal thoughts. The pharmacists insisted birth control would not be the cause, but my doctor confirmed hormonal fluctuations can be caused since generics have leeway on certain aspects of the pill. I have been put on name brand Yaz and slowly adjusting back to normal. This is not everyone’s experience on Nikki, and it works great for some, but just want those it doesn’t work for you know you’re not crazy! Read More Read Less

My doctor prescribed me Nikki as a contraceptive as well as to prevent awful mood swings and depression I would have leading up to my period. This birth control made my period more regular, but it caused my mental health to become the worst it’s ever been. I’ve struggled with mild depression and anxiety for most of my life, but up until this point its been very manageable. About a month in to taking Nikki, I would have panic attacks daily and just overall very depressed mood. I started looking into the effects of Nikki after I would have uncontrollable anger spells that have never affected me before, I even tried to push my boyfriend, and I also struggled with self harm (scratching, hitting my head, etc). I thought I was having some sort of nervous breakdown from school until I saw what everyone else was saying about this pill. I thought I was losing my mind. I stopped taking Nikki, the only thing I regret now is all the time I lost to my depressed mood and anxiety on the time I was taking it. I missed out on birthdays, going out with friends and just being the happy person I used to be. I don’t recommend this pill at all and I wished I knew that it was this contraceptive that was making me so depressed before I kept taking it every day. Read More Read Less

My pharmacy switched me from Gianvi to Nikki. While the pill has the same active ingredients as Giannv or Yaz, this pill gave me bad acne. I have never had acne worsen while taking birth control. I’ve been on the pill for 6 years and never had issues with it until taking this Nikki. In addition, this pill gave me some severe pigmentation that turned my palms two tones darker than my natural skin tone. This pill is a nightmare. Do not take this pill.

Swedish singer of Moroccan origin Loreen became a two-time winner of the Eurovision Song Contest last night in Liverpool: she already won the competition in 2012 with the song “Euphoria”, now she won with “Tattoo”. However, attentive Russian-speaking viewers noticed that the new hit resembles one seemingly already forgotten track.

Back in 2005, the Ukrainian singer Nika Newton (Oksana Gritsai) released the track “In Captivity”, which sounded even in the Russian television series about young cadets.

And the motive of this old song, especially the chorus, reminded the TV viewers very much of the chorus of Lauryn’s new song. The Swedish star has not yet responded to the attacks and continues to enjoy winning the competition. Her leadership remained undisputed during the voting – the singer received maximum points from the jury in most countries, as well as a large number of points from viewers.

Second place went to Kyaarija from Finland, third place went to Noah Kirel from Israel. The top 10 also included artists from Italy, Norway, Ukraine, Belgium, Estonia, Australia and the Czech Republic. Russia does not take part in the competition for the second year in a row.

This competition was supposed to take place in Ukraine, as last year the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra won. Due to security concerns, the organizers decided to hold the competition in Liverpool.

Mika Newton represented Ukraine at Eurovision a year before Lauryn’s first appearance there, in 2011. She took 4th place.
