If you run a fitness blog, you need to be constantly posting compelling and high-quality fitness blog topics. Posting high-quality fitness posts will help to keep your fitness business relevant, whenever someone searches for fitness articles on search engines like Google.

As a result, you will increase your chances of growing your audience, attracting more followers and landing more fitness clients, thus helping to grow your fitness business. Besides, you will be helping your target audience to achieve their fitness goals and become healthier. Simply put, it’s a win-win for everyone.

But, regardless of how prolific you are as a fitness writer, you are likely to run out of ideas at some point. And it can happen to anyone. If you find yourself in this situation, we’ve got you covered.

In this article, we will share four actionable tips for finding fitness topics to write about in your personal trainer’s blog. We’ve also compiled a list of some of the best fitness blog topics, which can help to attract more followers and potential clients.

1. Tips for Finding Fitness Topics to Write About

As noted above, coming up with a constant flow of fitness blog topics to write about is not always easy. Fortunately, there are some easy strategies and methods, which you can leverage to come up with unique fitness content ideas. They include:

1.1 Inspiration from Your Followers

If your fitness blog or personal trainer’s blog has a comment section, there’s a high chance that your audience posts feedback there regularly. And as much as most of the feedback will be in the form of comments, you may also get questions occasionally.

While some of these questions may just need a simple answer, others may need further elaboration. And you can use such questions as inspiration for your next fitness blog posts. You can compile those questions into a list, and then use them to create blog posts whenever you’ve run out of fitness topics to blog about.

1.2 Trending Topics

Trending topics can also provide inspiration for fitness blog post ideas. And, you can easily find what’s trending in the fitness industry by using various tools like Google Trends, BuzzSumo, Exploding Topics, as well as Answer The Public, just to name a few.

For instance, you can blog about a certain fitness trend that is trending, a fitness-related event that’s happening in your neighborhood, or even a particular food trend that people are currently following.

People visit social media platforms for various reasons. While the majority visit platforms such as YouTube and Instagram to socialize, others use them to ask questions on various topics. And, you can also use them to generate fitness blog post ideas. Some of the best social platforms that can help you to come up with hundreds of health and fitness blog topics to write about include:

Pinterest: Pinterest is a great source of inspiration for fitness blog topics. It can help you to come up with adequate topics for your health and fitness blog. You simply need to search for keywords like “fitness blog post ideas,” “fitness blog topics,” “fitness blog ideas,” or “fitness topics to write about.” And once you hit the search button, you will get hundreds of health and fitness topics that you can cover in your blog.

Reddit: Reddit can also be a gold mine when it comes to finding fitness-related problems that people are struggling with. First, you need to identify a fitness subreddit. Once you’ve identified a relevant subreddit, you can then conduct a search for “how do you” and you will end up with hundreds of posts, covering various topics.

Quora: Just like Reddit, Quora can also be a great resource for health and fitness blog topics to write about. As much as the majority of the questions posted on this platform are mostly focused on personal experiences, there’s adequate fitness-related content that you can use as inspiration to generate fitness blog posts.

1.4 Your Personal Life

Your personal life can also be a great inspiration for fitness blog posts. For instance, you can blog about things that are happening in your day-to-day life, how you handle them as well as how you solve various challenges that you encounter.

And, you don’t have to necessarily cover fitness-related topics. While you may be a renowned personal trainer or fitness coach, you are also a human being, like any other person. Hence, blogging about your personal life will go a long way in helping you to become more relatable to your audience.

2. The Top Fitness Blog Post Ideas

As you can see, you have several methods you can use to generate thousands of health and fitness blog topics. But, most of the above methods will require you to spend some time doing research. TK Fitness Blog Post Ideas

Workout-Based Blog Topics

You’ll find a bunch of workout categories below.  For each, you can consider developing a specific workout or training plan that fits in that category, or you could do a beginner’s guide to that particular category.

  • Cardio
  • Plyometrics
  • Strength training
  • HIIT
  • Endurance
  • Running
  • Classes (Spinning, Zumba)
  • Yoga
  • Cross fit
  • Bike riding
  • Boot Camps
  • Circuit
  • Stretching
  • Pilates
  • Water Aerobics
  • Kickboxing
  • Martial Arts

Remember – don’t stop at the basics; try to dig deep into each one.  For each fitness blog topic, consider including the following in your post:

  • Describe what the workout is
  • Include pictures or videos to demonstrate form or showcase examples
  • Describe what is being accomplished (i.e. muscle groups targeted; benefits to taking the class)
  • How often should this particular workout be done
  • Can it be done at home or in a gym?  What kind of equipment is needed?
  • How long would the workout take?
  • How many calories are burned during each workout?
  • Are there any contraindications or modifications?  (i. e. people with certain injuries shouldn’t do the workout or those who have back problems should do this modification instead)

Write down all that you know about these, getting as detailed as possible.  You can also add research about each type of workout if that makes sense for your blog style (for example, I might include a post about triathlon swimming and showcase research on different pacing strategies).

And if you end up doing multiple workout posts, this would also make a great blog series – and you can create a helpful landing page with links to all the different types of workouts.

Time Management Fitness Posts

In these posts, you want to help your readers find time management hacks or extra motivation to help them get on a consistent fitness schedule.  Make sure they know why it is important to make time for exercise and why you should incorporate different routines rather than doing the same exact thing every time. There are more people who “want” to work out than actually do. These posts will help your audience realize that time doesn’t have to get in their way of fitness.

  • Why it is important to have a regular exercising schedule?
  • Why it is important to complete a variety of exercises when working out?
  • How to make time for workouts when you don’t have any time?
  • How to make working out a habit?

  • Easy workouts that can be done during your lunch break
  • Home workouts that can be done while the kids are napping
  • How fitness helps with mental health
  • How exercising can be a stress reliever

Don’t forget that if you are a part of any of these affiliate programs, link to the pro versions with your affiliate link as well.  (Affiliate revenue refers to when you link to certain products or services, and if a reader clicks your link and buys it – you earn a commission.  If you have a good SEO strategy with these types of posts, it can make for a great passive income source down the road.)

  • Best music apps for workout music

  • TK best podcasts to binge listen to during a long run

Fitness Tracking Topics

Technology in the fitness realm is only growing, so posts that showcase how to utilize apps and wearables can be really helpful.   Consider including instructional videos or screenshots if you wanted to show a tutorial for the non-techy readers. Plus, some of these ideas would be great affiliate posts.

  • Best fitness tracker
  • Fit Bit vs. Apple Watch
  • How to link My Fitness Pal to your phone to count your steps
  • How to use Strava to track your runs and rides
  • How to use the workout app on the Apple Watch

  • What is My Fitness Pal?
  • Best paper habit trackers

You can also consider making printables that either go along with these types of wearables, or that can substitute for them.  These can make great email opt-ins.  For example, try things like workout trackers, water tracking, calorie counting, step counting, habit checklists, etc.

Fitness Gear Blog Post Ideas

This area of focus is amazing for affiliate links and sponsored brand content.  You could also include recommendations for physical products that you actually create (for example, a tech t-shirt for workouts or a line of headbands) if that is an option.

  • Best workout clothes for _______(insert type of exercise)
  • Best running shoes for ______ (trail running, overpronation, sprinting, etc)
  • TK best shoes for heavy lifting

  • Why you should use gloves when lifting weights
  • The TK best workout accessories for ______ (insert type of exercise)

  • Yoga Club
  • Yogi Surprise
  • Ellie
  • FitSnack
  • Bulu Box

You could also use the opportunity to for possible sponsored posts if you were to talk small business owners about featuring their business/race/class/etc, or offering direct ad space on your website.  It may also be a great way of connecting with a local facility where you’re hoping to do in-person work.

  • Gyms
  • Yoga studios
  • Pilates studios
  • Fitness classes (Zumba, Boxing, etc)
  • CrossFit boxes
  • Outdoor fitness activities
  • Road races and triathlons
  • Restaurants that are known for healthy food
  • Vitamin shops
  • Holistic care practitioners (chiropractors, massage therapists, etc.)
  • YMCAs

Meal Planning Blog Posts

This is a trendy topic these days, and a great one for any fitness, wellness, or nutrition blog to cover. Even people are don’t consider themselves as fitness junkies are into meal planning these days, potentially bringing a new set of eyes to your content.

Remember, many bloggers will want to start from the very basics. Think about the audience that will be seeing your content. They could be brand new (so they would need baby steps) – all the way to the advanced triathlete who’s got their nutrition locked down (they know what it is and how to do it, but they may need recipes).

  • Why it’s important to meal plan
  • How meal planning can save money
  • The best freezer meals for meal prep
  • The complete beginners guide to meal planning (in-depth post from start to finish, this could easily be a paid product depending on how much information is in it)
  • How to start meal planning
  • What is the best day to meal prep?
  • The best chicken/fish/beef/etc meal prep recipes
  • How to meal prep in just X minutes/hours
  • The best recipes for meal prepping on a budget
  • How to meal prep healthy school lunches

You can also consider some affiliate-style posts that relate to meal planning.   While the posts above may be great for driving traffic for your audience, the posts below can be heavily optimized for affiliate revenue.

  • Meal planning supplies you can’t live without
  • Best meal prep containers
  • How the Instant Pot makes meal planning easy
  • Review or comparison of meal delivery services (Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, etc.)
  • Review or comparison of meal planning services (E-Meals, Prep Dish, etc.)

Supplement Blog Topics

Giving information on supplements can be extremely helpful for readers, especially when you can explain the research behind the product and why you support it.  As a health professional or someone with expertise in the wellness industry, you likely have the ability to sift through research and can help really break down the science in a consumer friendly way.

Plus, supplement posts might be great for affiliate revenue or sponsored content posts.

Remember, though, readers want the real truth and your beliefs – so don’t go promoting every other product you see just because you might be able to make a quick dollar.   Stay honest and only promote the brands or products you truly believe in.

Here are a few fitness blog topics related to supplements:

  • Pre-workout products (creatine, beta alanine, beet juice, etc.)
  • Post-workout products (protein, BCAAs, etc.)
  • Protein powders and shakes
  • Prepackaged sports foods (bars, gels, etc)
  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Probiotics

Nutrition Posts

Nutritional education goes hand in hand with other fitness blog topics. Many readers do like to understand the “why” behind nutrition info – but of course, it needs to be in a consumer-friendly way that connects to their emotional side.  These post ideas can work well if they have evidence-based information with a little bit of your personal stories or opinions woven in.

  • The ultimate guide to a balanced diet for ______ (insert your audience – busy moms, endurance athletes, crossfit fans, etc.)
  • The one thing on the nutrition label you’re probably not paying attention to – but should be
  • Counting calories or counting macronutrients
  • Why it is important to keep a food journal
  • How much protein do you actually need
  • Is sugar really an evil villain in our diet
  • Are all processed foods bad for you
  • Best healthy snacks to carry on the go
  • Best books for the real truth about nutrition
  • Nutrition-focused posts on certain conditions – food allergies, celiac disease, digestive health, etc.

Weight Loss Topics

No matter how much I personally wish we’d move away from the weight loss conversation in the media, it’s definitely a topic that always draws a crowd.  These kinds of posts can be helpful for sharing helpful reviews of diets and products, real evidence-based facts about weight loss, along with what doesn’t work.

  • Does drinking more water help you lose weight
  • How your hormones really affects weight loss and fat storage
  • How to lose body fat and preserve muscle mass
  • Best foods to eat to lose weight
  • Is your BMI really a good measure of your health
  • Why your weight doesn’t really matter

Diets

Diets come and go all the time, but they are always a hot topic!  If you agree and follow any of these eating patterns, you can explain the science behind it and why you personally support it.

This goes for the other spectrum as well. If you are totally against diets, you may want to express why you disagree – which is always bound to be a controversial post, but can also help weed out the “wrong” audience.

Remember, if you give all the details, these could easily be 2000+ word posts – making them more likely to rank well in Google.

  • Keto
  • Paleo
  • Whole 30
  • Weight Watcher’s
  • Atkins
  • South Beach
  • Mediterranean
  • Low Carb
  • Vegan
  • Vegetarian
  • Pescatarian
  • Low Sodium
  • Nutrisystem
  • Juicing
  • Detox
  • Fasting
  • Intermittent fasting
  • BeachBody

Self-Care

Self-care can come in so many forms and is different for each individual – so this category of topics can really be an endless supply. If you are geared to moms especially, these are definitely a hot topic right now.

  • Why you need to take care of yourself first
  • Why taking a time out can improve your happiness?
  • TK ways to start taking care of yourself
  • TK things to do to improve yourself care without spending money
  • The best skincare routine for active women
  • DIY spa day
  • How your eating habits affect your skin
  • The best outdoor activities to relieve stress
  • The ultimate stress management guide
  • A complete guide to aromatherapy with essential oils

Don’t Forget about SEO!

Of course, with whatever topic you choose from the list above, you probably want to also do some keyword research.   This will help you find good, long-tail keywords that fit the idea – and will help you assess if a certain keyword is perhaps too competitive.  This process will also help you come up with post titles and help you draft good, SEO-optimized content.  Read up on my full guide to doing keyword research using KeySearch.

Don’t Forget About Email Opt-Ins

Last but not least:  All of these fitness blog topics are great for the blog posts themselves, but if you have an idea or two that will be really in-depth – consider turning that into a freebie to giveaway in exchange for signing up for your email list.  Here are a few examples that would be a bit more comprehensive than a stand alone blog post:

  • The ultimate beginner’s guide to ______ (insert fitness activity) – Put together a really comprehensive guide that has everything the reader needs to know about that activity, along with sample workouts and helpful visuals.
  • 4-week bootcamp – Instead of a printable, try an email series or video series!  Put together workouts for a 4 week boot camp and in exchange for signing up for your list, they receive this series of workouts.
  • Meal plan with a shopping list –  If you blog about nutrition, consider putting together a week long meal plan that would be a good fit for your audience.  Provide the recipes, tips you may have to make meal prepping easier or cheaper, and a shopping list.  You could also add a DIY printable calendar for your readers so that they can try meal planning on their own after they use yours.

I hope all of these fitness blog post ideas and email opt-in suggestions are helpful for curing writers block and helping monetize your blog!

Firefighting drills should take place at facilities with a mass presence of people and in organizations with 50 or more employees. The purpose of the event is to train personnel in the rules of behavior in an emergency. For non-compliance with the established requirements, the entrepreneur or legal entity bears administrative responsibility.

Types of fire drills

During the training, employees acquire the skills to organize the withdrawal of people from the building, use fire extinguishing equipment, call the Ministry of Emergency Situations, learn to quickly make decisions in a fire. Classes are subdivided into:

  • Objective exercises, in which company employees are involved. Conducted to work out the entire range of activities or individual tasks. Training and practice are supervised by the head of the organization or his deputy.
  • Joint. Personnel and personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations participate in such events. During the exercise, the interaction of employees of the organization and the fire service during an emergency is worked out.
  • Demonstrative. They are held to demonstrate the techniques and methods of extinguishing fire.
  • Individual – training of new employees.

Fire training topics

The training program is signed by the responsible person who compiled it. Joint classes are approved by the commanders of the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. At each facility, a training schedule is drawn up, it must be agreed and signed by the head.

There are three formats of classes: briefing, training in fire-technical minimum, practice. During the briefing, the employee responsible for fire safety is obliged to provide information about the locations of evacuation plans, emergency exits. Employees should know where fire extinguishers, first aid kits are located, the specifics of the operation of fire protection systems, and evacuation rules.

The theoretical part is fixed at planned trainings. In practical classes, personnel learn to quickly assess the situation, provide first aid, use improvised means and fire equipment, work out evacuation actions, and share duties.

Before the event, the leader announces the tasks to be completed, the procedure for each stage of the fire. The participants in the current lesson are monitored by a responsible person, it can be a foreman, an engineering and technical worker, a representative of the workers. His orders are unquestionable. Training is on schedule. On the appointed day, the preparation of the territory begins, smoke bombs, lanterns, flags and other equipment are used to simulate fires. The first step is to turn on the fire siren. Then the skills of using emergency routes, fire equipment are practiced. All actions must be coordinated, while some call the fire department, others organize the withdrawal of people.

Evacuation during a training fire should not last more than 4 minutes, because in reality, after this time, the fire develops into a large fire, toxic substances begin to be released, and the percentage of oxygen in the air decreases. The maximum duration of an event is 3 hours. The results of the lesson are recorded in a special journal. At the end of the event, a review of the actions of all participants is carried out. Controlling persons give an assessment and analysis of errors.

Frequency of fire drills

Fire drills are held every six months during non-working hours. Training should not distract staff from the performance of their duties. When making changes to legal acts or approving new ones, an extraordinary knowledge test is carried out. The schedule indicates the date, type, structural subdivision that will participate in the classes.

Firefighting training register is a mandatory document that records information about the events that have taken place. There is no standard form of the log, but fire safety experts recommend following the rules:

  • The inscription on the title page “Journal of emergency and fire drills”, below should indicate the name of the object, as well as the start and end dates of the maintenance.
  • The journal is stapled, each sheet is numbered.
  • The internal forms reflect: date, topic of the lesson, venue, participants. Each employee must sign, that is, confirm the completion of the training.
  • There should be an area for trainees to evaluate and indicate errors or omissions. The person responsible for the training is obliged to carry out explanatory work and organize a re-training for each mistake.
  • The activities indicated in the journal must fully comply with the schedule approved at the beginning of the year.
  • Strikethroughs are not allowed, corrections are made in a separate entry with an explanation, next to it must be the signature of the person in charge and the seal of the organization.
  • The period of storage of the completed journal is 10 years.

Fire drill log sample

Fire drill is an important part of fire safety in an organization. Prepared people do not lose their composure during a fire, they quickly make the right decision, which allows minimizing the negative consequences of the incident. Consistency ensures rapid fire suppression and reduces possible losses.
