How to Order a Keto Breakfast on Vacation
Ordering a keto breakfast on vacation just got easy! You’ll love these low carb ideas showing you exactly what to order at a restaurant.
Raise your hand if you like eating out at a restaurant!
Me too!
But knowing what to order when you follow a Trim Healthy Mama (THM) lifestyle can sometimes feel intimidating. Right? One thing I’ve learned: don’t bother trying to order an E or FP meal at restaurants. There’s always hidden fat so you’ll just end up with a crossover. Of course, crossovers are still on plan for THM, so just be mindful of creating them!
What to Order at Restaurants
Trim Healthy Mama encourages food freedom. It might be one of my favorite parts of THM! Honestly, it makes it a sustainable lifestyle.
For instance, when we took a trip to New Orleans, I chose to try beignets. They’re definitely not “on plan.” But food freedom means that sometimes I make those choices.
It’s not cheating.
It will not derail my lifestyle.
And I only do it rarely.
However, having the freedom to make those choices is why I’ve been able to live this way since 2016.
Every other meal I ordered while in New Orleans was a low carb, THM S, keto-friendly meal.
If you’d like to learn more about Trim Healthy Mama, here’s a link for the THM Plan book that teaches you the basics. You can read more about my experience with THM here.

What to Order for a Keto Breakfast on Vacation
Today I’m sharing ideas to help you know what to order for a keto breakfast on vacation. You won’t be getting bored when you order varied meals like these!
I’ve also included links to the restaurant’s web pages in case you go to New Orleans and want to check them out yourself.
Our first morning in New Orleans we walked to a nearby restaurant, Two Chicks Cafe. The menu was full of tempting options! I like trying items that are unique to that restaurant when available. So I ordered their Kickin’ Chicken Omelet.
The omelet was filled with chicken breast, grilled red onion, mushrooms, salsa, and goat cheese topped with homemade salsa. I had them hold the grits, potatoes, fruit, and toast and substituted a side of bacon.
I loved the novelty of adding chicken breast to the omelet! Of course we all had to crack a few jokes about what came first: the chicken or the egg… (see what I did there?). At any rate, I was inspired and will be trying this combination at home when I have leftover chicken! You should give it a try too.
So many people recommended the jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters. We had spent some time on Bourbon Street the night before and were a little skeptical that the restaurant would be clean as nice as they said.
When we arrived we walked through a small vestibule and were so surprised as it opened into a large, beautiful space tucked behind the craziness of the bars! The courtyard was filled with greenery and large fans, but we opted to eat inside because it was already getting hot.
I opted for an omelet from the omelet station and filled it with cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, green peppers and spinach. And then I had them put some hollandaise sauce over top, because vacation. I added some of their extra crispy bacon on the side along with some andouille sausage. They had veggies on the lunch side of the buffet so I included a healthy dose of steamed broccoli.
Not pictured: I tried their turtle soup with a splash of sherry. I’ve never tasted turtle before, and figured I ought to be adventurous. The flavor was amazing! But I couldn’t make myself eat more than one bite. #notasadventurousasIthinkIam I also got some strawberries at the end of my meal.
We had brunch in the Garden District on Sunday at a great little spot called The Silver Whistle Cafe that’s part of The Pontchartrain Hotel. The decor was classic French country with some quirky artwork that we all thought would be fun in our homes! The service was wonderful and the coffee was perfect.
After a lot of heavy meals, I decided to go for a lighter brunch option. After all breakfast on vacation doesn’t always have to be an indulgence. I chose the egg white frittata and added a side of ham. The frittata came out topped with grilled arugula and was amazing!
We may have saved the best for our last morning in New Orleans! Kevin found a restaurant that had just opened 12 weeks earlier called FullBlast Brunch. The food was so incredibly fresh. And the service was fast and friendly. If you’re in NOLA, make sure you give it a try!
I chose the crabcake benedict, and I had them put it on grilled tomato slices instead of an English muffin. I’m a Maryland girl which means I’m a crabcake snob. But I’m also an eternal optimist and will still try crabcakes in other states. I’m often disappointed. But FullBlast’s chef knocked it out of the park! It was so good: just lumps of crab meat and no bready fillers.
I also ordered their grilled veggies and they were the perfect side. If you aren’t one to usually eat veggies with breakfast, I really recommend giving them a try when you eat out. I think you’ll end up loving them as much as I do!

Breakfasts, daily – Welcome Group
Today, breakfast in a cafe is an integral part of the life of many citizens. It has become a good tradition for someone to go out for breakfast in a cafe with the whole family on a day off, someone likes to hold early business meetings at a morning meal, and someone just doesn’t like to cook at home in the morning and runs in for a cup of morning coffee at their favorite cafe.
Few people know, but for the first time in Izhevsk, breakfasts appeared precisely in the establishments of the Welcome Group — the first city coffee house Coffee Seven and the network of family cafes Mama Pizza.
Today, breakfast menus are available in almost all of our establishments, which means you have a huge choice of what to treat yourself to this morning.
Coffee House Coffee Seven
Coffee Seven has a huge range of European breakfasts. From all kinds of breakfasts on bread, from classic croissants with various fillings to stacks and sandwiches, many egg dishes, cereals with various additives. Here you can find healthy cottage cheese, favorite potato pancakes, and nutritious morning salads. And for those who are used to having a hearty breakfast, hearty morning complexes are served here.
