A common skin injury that results in a discolouration of the skin can be termed as a bruise. It can make your life miserable and rob your peace. Your blood from damaged blood cells deep under the skin gets collected near the surface of your skin, resulting in a black and blue mark. Thus, you may experience excruciating pain.

People who exercise vigorously may suffer from bruises. These bruises are formed due to the microscopic tears in blood vessels under the skin. Unexplained bruises may indicate a bleeding disorder, especially if the bruising is accompanied by frequent nosebleeds. Bruises on the shin or the thigh may take place due to the bumps. Bruises in the elderly occur as their skin becomes thinner as they age. The tissues which support the underlying blood vessels tend to become fragile. You may exhibit symptoms like, initially, your bruise will be reddish, then it may become yellow and later, blue. So, just consult your expert immediately and seek medical help. Apart from that, you should also make sure that you try these magnificent home remedies. Get going today and you can thank us later!

You can go for vinegar

Vinegar is an effective solution which increases blood flow and helps in the healing process. Applying it on the bruised area and thus, it allows the blood that has gathered below the skin to circulate and can help you to prevent blood clots. You should massage your bruise along with vinegar and water. Ta da, your bruise will disappear in some days.

You can go for warm compress

A warm compress speeding up the healing process and prevents clotting of your blood. Furthermore, it can also help you to manage your pain and inflammation. Thus, you will be able to destroy your pain and get rid of that bruise. You can place a hot water bag on the affected area.

You can go for Epsom salt

The amazing Epsom salt can help you to relax the muscle tissue and get rid of your swelling. It can be easily absorbed by your boy and it reaches the damaged tissue and relieves soreness. So, just add it to your bath water and soak in it. Doing so will calm you down.

You can go for ginger

Ginger can help you to tackle a host of ailments. It can help you to deal with the inflamed skin due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Grate some ginger and apply it on the affected area. Don’t go overboard. Just discontinue to apply it, if you experience pain, redness and so on.

How to Get Rid Of and Soothe a Bruise

Bruises are extremely common, from those that appear mysteriously to a painful bump. But what exactly is a bruise? How can you speed up the healing and reduce the pain? And what should you do if you are worried about an unexplained bruise? We have all the answers.

What is a bruise?

You’ve taken a bump, blow or knock that was hard enough to damage small blood vessels under your skin, or maybe you accidentally hurt yourself while using your wheelchair ramp for stairs. The result is that blood leaks out of these blood vessels, called capillaries, and seeps into the surrounding tissue.  For a while you see the traditional black-and-blue colours, which are the trademark of most bruises. As the pooled blood gradually breaks down, the colours take on a full palette of hues, from purple to green and yellow.

Normally, bruises fade in 10 to 14 days without any treatment, but there are ways to reduce the pain and speed up healing.

How to treat and remedy a bruise?

First, you want to reduce bloodflow to the area with ice and compression to minimise discolouration. Next, use heat to boost circulation and help to clear away the pooled blood. At the same time, as long as the skin isn’t broken, a number of herbal ointments and compresses can help to erase any evidence of bruising.

Immediate treatment for bruises

Apply ice as soon as possible. Use a flexible gel-filled icepack, a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel, or soak a face washer in ice-cold water and lay it over the bruise for 10 minutes. Whatever chilling agent you use, take it off after 10 minutes and wait for 20 minutes or so before you reapply.

It helps to have an icepack handy. To prepare one in advance, fill a resealable plastic bag with 6 parts water to 1 part surgical spirit. Zip it shut and put it in a container in the freezer. Overnight it forms a slushy ice that will conform to any body part. Keep it zip side up to minimise leakage.

Reduce bloodflow to the bruise to minimise discolouration. If you bruise your leg, for instance, try to take a break and settle into a sofa or armchair with your leg up on a pillow, above heart level. If your arm is bruised, try to keep it propped up above heart level whenever you’re sitting.

Top Tip: If you immediately wrap an elastic bandage around the bruised area, the bruise won’t be quite as severe.

Heat your bruise

After 24 hours, it’s safe to apply heat to bring more circulation to the bruise and start to clear away the pooled blood. Try placing an electric heating pad, warm compress or hot-water bottle on top of the area for 20 minutes several times a day. (Caution: Make sure you follow the instructions on the heating pad).

A warm compress of comfrey can also offer comfort. Comfrey contains compounds that reduce swelling and promote the rapid growth of new cells. Make a warm herbal solution by pouring 300ml of boiling water over 30g dried comfrey leaves or 60g fresh leaves. Steep for 10 minutes, then strain. This is for external use only – do not drink the solution. Soak a gauze pad or a face washer in the comfrey solution and apply it to the bruise for an hour. (Caution: Do not use on broken skin or if you have an open wound.)

Vinegar mixed with warm water may help the healing process. Vinegar increases blood flow near the skin’s surface, so it may help to dissipate the blood that has pooled in the bruise area. Witch hazel will also do the trick.

Cream for bruises

Arnica is a herb that has long been recommended for bruises. It contains a compound that reduces inflammation and swelling. Apply arnica ointment or gel to the bruise daily. (Caution: Do not apply arnica to areas of broken skin.)

Hirudoid ointment, available from pharmacies, has been used as a healing agent for decades. It’s able to penetrate the skin’s layers, improve blood flow to the area, reduce swelling and inflammation, and also speed up the absorption of a bruise.

Some experts believe parsley aids the healing process. Take a handful of fresh parsley leaves, crush them and spread them over the bruise. Wrap the area with an elastic bandage.

Gently rub St John’s wort oil into the bruise. St John’s wort is often taken as a capsule or tea for mild depression but the oil has long been known as a wound healer. It’s rich in tannins–astringents that help shrink tissue and also control capillary bleeding. For the best effect, start this treatment soon after the bruise occurs, and repeat it 3 times a day.

Supplements to treat bruises

Bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapples, actually ‘digests’ proteins involved in causing inflammation and inducing pain. It is recommended that you take up to 500mg of bromelain daily between meals until the bruise has faded.

Try a homeopathic version of arnica. As soon as you sustain a bruise, start taking one dose of arnica every 4 hours. Take 4 doses the first day, then reduce the dosage to 2 or 3 pills a day as the bruise fades.

How to prevent a bruise

If you bruise too easily, you may be deficient in vitamin C, which you can get from capsicums and citrus fruit, or take up to 1000mg a day in divided doses.

Increase your intake of flavonoids by eating more carrots, apricots and citrus fruits. These help vitamin C to work more efficiently in the body. Grape-seed extract is also a rich supplier of flavonoids. Take up to 100mg a day.

You may also be deficient in vitamin K, found in kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts and leafy green vegetables, as well as from multivitamin supplements (taken with meals to enhance absorption).

Check your medications. Certain drugs (e.g. antidepressants, anti-inflammatories and aspirin) may make you bruise more easily. If this is the case, consult your doctor.

Aspirin thins the blood, which means it can pool more easily under the skin and intensify the characteristic black-and-blue effect. The same applies to ibuprofen. Instead, take paracetamol as pain relief for a bruise. If you think you bruise too easily, and you take aspirin regularly (to reduce your risk of heart attack, for example), then discuss the problem with your doctor, but don’t stop taking the aspirin unless you’re advised to.

Unexplained bruises

If your bruises appear mysteriously–that is, in places that you haven’t been injured–see your doctor. Sometimes bruises are a warning sign of a more serious condition. Also consult your doctor if you bruise a joint and it leads to swelling, if a bruise doesn’t fade after a week, if the bruise is accompanied by severe pain or fever, or if you sustain a bruise on the side of your head over your ear (this area fractures easily).

Apple Cider Vinegar

Posted by Kate (Lowell, Ma) on 05/11/2016

Last week, I tripped walking up the stairs:( I ended up bruising my toe pretty badly to the point that I was walking with a limp because it hurt to put any weight on my foot. When I got home, I started by icing my foot, followed by an Epsom salt soak. It brought the swelling down a little, but not the pain or bruising. After the second day of pain, I came to Earth Clinic and saw rave reviews for ACV.

I soaked a cotton ball in ACV and left it on my toe for 20 minutes. I repeated this process twice a day and within 36 hrs, I was healed. No more pain; no more bruise. Thanks Earth Clinic!

Apple Cider Vinegar works very well!

A very dear friend of mine was in the passenger seat during a car accident. Her face was quite badly cut and bruised when the airbag activated.

We recommended ACV and it worked beautifully. All the bruising and swelling cleared nicely. The first morning after the accident she woke with swelling around her mouth (the airbag hit her mouth and cut it quite badly), she applied the ACV and the swelling quickly went down. 3 weeks later and it is healing beautifully and it looks like there won’t be any scars.

It stung a bit so we diluted it until tolerable, she found that it would only sting at first and then after a few minutes the sting would cease to be an issue when ACV was reapplied. ACV can dry the skin out a little (nothing major), in which case you just need some moisturiser.

Thank you again, EC!!! I came here for ideas on how to take care of my son’s rather painful knee injury (he had walked into a chair with all his weight). I soaked a handcloth in ACV and then put on a towel wrapped-ice pack. The bruise and pain were gone in 15mins. Awesome stuff.

Last night my girlfriend and I had a night we call game night, where we invite all our close friends over to play games and have fun at home. Well, one of our friends got a little too wasted face and decided to start wrestling (very roughly) with my girlfriend until she couldn’t move anymore. after she finally got off of her my girlfriend had bruises ALL over. her ankle was the worst of it (couldn’t even walk on it). she went to bed because she was in so much pain. I then went onto this website because it’s my favorite for home remedies, and I looked up “contusion” and sure enough ACV was the first thing that popped up.

I dipped a paper towel into a small bowl of the ACV until it was wet, but not dripping (remember she was in bed and I didn’t want this stuff all over the sheets… it’s not a fun smell to get out) i then set the ACV dipped paper towel onto her ankle where it was bruised and extremely swollen. After 5 minutes of the ACV setting directly onto the skin, her throbbing went away. After 10 minutes of the ACV setting directly directly onto the skin her bruises started to subside and lighten. I decided to keep the ACV dipped towel on her ankle for a good 30 minutes before removing and wiping off with a baby wipe to get rid of the smell. this morning she can move her ankle like nothing had happened. she can walk again. IT’S A MIRACLE!!! 😉

I fell, nearly breaking my leg one summer while cleaning the windows. My leg was so sore that I suffered for many months. I started drinking ACV years later. Not for the leg injury in particular, however I noticed my leg had stopped throbbing from that brutal fall. I began to massage my leg and lo and behold the bruised blood began to move and dissolve. The ACV moves blood that is bruised.

Another mishap on the farm caused me to step on a log nail. I hate tetanus shots, I knew they would make me take one if I went to the hospital. My mother also warned me to watch out for ‘lockjaw’ which is said to come as a result of stepping on rusty nails. I ran into the kitchen foot dripping with blood. I ingested the ACV along with some regular apple juice. The pain was gone by nightfall. Everyone looked and was amazed at the instant recovery. No limping or soreness as a result of ingesting the ACV. This is truly a miracle substance. I cannot overstate the benefits I have heard about from those individuals who have begun to drink ACV on a regular basis, Someone please Call the Doctors and tell them!

Arnica Gel

Posted by Wendy (Dublin, OH) on 01/16/2021

I love Arnica! A number of years ago, I was walking my dog in the snow around my block, slipped & fell hard and directly onto both my knees! Made it home, and slathered the arnica on both knees. I’d say both bruises were @3-4 inches in diameter. Well, within a few hours the pain was gone, and in about 3-4 days no more bruises.

Arnica Gel

Now that I’m older, bruises takes months to disappear. Got a quarter size bruise the other day and read here on Earth Clinic that arnica gel is great for bruises so tried a gel I have that has arnica in it. The day after I put it on I could tell it was working. After 3 days of putting it on twice a day, the bruise was gone.

Arnica Gel

Posted by Mommy V (Washington, D.C., Usa) on 10/21/2011

This stuff works like a miracle. I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it myself. I recently smashed the distal phalanx (smallest bone) of my pinkie. My fingertip swelled to the size and color of a grape in a matter of minutes. I applied a thin layer of Arnica Cream (which I bought at my local health food store) and literally watched as the swelling and bruising disappeared to almost nothing overnight. I also use Arnica frequently on my toddler boys, the youngest of which manages to incur knots on his forehead at an alarming rate. Same story. Goose eggs all but disappear overnight; swelling and bruising are down to just a small mark. It even works on blood blisters. (My aunt, a Farsi accupuncturist, introduced me to this stuff and I am SO grateful!)

Arnica Gel

I had bruise on my leg that was a very dark purple and didn’t fade after 1 1/2 weeks. I tried ACV and witch hazel and nothing happened. I bought some Arnica gel at a health food store Wednesday mid day and applied 3-4 times a day by gently rubbing in. By Saturday morning the bruise was barely visible. I could see the bruise fading each day, I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

I love arnica gel for sore muscles and also bruising. I tend to bruise easily and found this to be an excellent remedy. I also take extra iron when I am bruised!

Arnica Gel, Aloe

Posted by EC (Indianapolis, IN) on 05/19/2021

Bruise:

I crushed my right ring finger with my 20 lb. cast iron skillet 3 days ago. I have alternately used arnica gel and fresh aloe gel as often as I thought about it during the past 3 days. Even though my finger is purple from top to bottom, it really never hurt that much and the swelling has gone down amazingly quickly. Everyone thinks it must be broken because of how awful it looks but no worries at all!

Black Tea Bag

Posted by Jasmine (Chicago, Illinois Usa) on 12/16/2010

As the mom of a four year old, I’ve dealt with every type of bump, bruise, pinch, burn and cut imaginable. And for everyone I use one simple remedy. A black tea bag. Any brand will do, but makes sure its good quality and fresh. Great thing about it is, I can slip it in a ziplock back and throw them in my pocket, car or purse and forget about it until an injury occurs. Dunk the tea bag once or twice in hot water if available and blow on it or wave it in the air to get it to cool down. If there is no hot water, hot faucet water works great. And if that’s unavailable, just wet it with room temperature water until the liquid coming off of it turns brown. Then apply as a poultice. You may need to wet it again whenever it dries. It takes the pain out, eliminates swelling, and quickens healing.

My daughter is so spoiled with this remedy, she thinks that “owies” are “fixed” by mommy and comes straight to me for any little hurt. If it’s in an ackward or large area, throw 3 bags of tea in a hot mug of water for 3-5min, cool it down with ice cubes after and use a rag or paper towel to apply it (be sure you dont like the rag because it will stain). Its important to use this remedy asap. The sooner its applied after the injury, the better and more dramatic the results. After the tea poultice or compress:

(1)if its a nasty bruise, I’ll dress it with a thin layer of castor oil and wrap it up.

(2)If its an open cut, I’ll dab it with raw honey and cover it with a cartoon bandaid (cartoons optional).

(3)If its a bad burn I’ll put the tea poultice over the burn, place a piece of plastic wrap over it and wrap an ace bandage around that. This worked for me on a 2nd and 3rd degree burns I received from a very hot lightbulb. It wouldn’t stop stinging until I used the tea. I fell asleep with the ace bandage on, woke up 2-3hrs later with the pain 100% gone and the best part yet, when it healed it didn’t scar!

Also, for those lovely times when your child slams there hand in a door or cabinet, I brew the 3 bags in a wide mouth cup, cool it with ice cubes (to a luke warm/cool temp) and have her stick her whole hand in it until she tells me it stopped hurting (usually 5-20min). If it doesnt stop hurting, I would know she may have actually broken something (although thankfully its never been serious). I figured out the black tea bag remedy out of desperation when burning myself years ago on that light bulb. After that, I began experimenting on my own cuts and bruises. Since my daughter was born, its been the best thing I’ve ever tried, and it has yet to let me down.

12 ways to get rid of bruises

Symptoms of bruises

Bruises can be caused by a variety of physical injuries, although Who reports that the causes are not always physical. They can include sports injuries, concussions, muscle sprains, medications and supplements.

Healthline advises to look out for the following symptoms when determining whether or not you have a bruise:

  • Skin discolouration;
  • Pain, tenderness and swelling around the discoloured area;
  • Joint or muscle pain and limited range of movement in a particular area;
  • Unbroken skin;
  • Itchiness; and
  • Repetitive bruising in the same area can cause permanent yellow-brown skin discolouration.

Different Types of Bruises

Bruises tend to be classified by the location in which they appear on your body. Healthline lists three types of bruises based on this classification:

  • Subcutaneous Bruises – these are just beneath the skin;
  • Intramuscular Bruises – these are in the underlying muscles; and
  • Periosteal bruises – this is bruising of the bones;

How long do bruises last?

Dr Victor Marchine of Doctors Health Press says that how long a bruise lasts depends on the severity of the bruise as well as the body type of the person who has suffered the trauma. Some people heal faster than others; as a result some bruises start to disappear a few days after appearing, with the colour fading from the edges and working its way to the centre of the bruise. Eventually all that’s left is a yellow blotch on the skin which fades with time. In circumstances where there is considerable bruising, the skin could take up to three weeks before it fades

Bruise Treatments

Unfortunately, there is no quick fix when it comes to a bruise. However, Healthline recommends treatments that speed up the healing process and reduce both the severity of a bruise as well as the likelihood of sustaining one. Here are the top 12 ways:

1. Witch hazel

Witch hazel is a natural astringent which you can apply to the bruised area. This natural remedy can be applied to the bruised area 3 times a day and will help the bruise fade faster and repair the underlying damage. To apply, soak cotton wool in witch hazel and press against the bruise for two minutes at a time.

2. Arnica gel

Arnica is a medicinal herb known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Applying arnica ointment to the bruised area is a natural remedy to reduce pain and swelling. However, Arnica is not a quick fix and you would have to apply it twice a day for two weeks for there to be visible results.

Getty

3. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is known for its healing properties, and specifically for reducing pain and inflammation. The aloe vera will work best when applied directly onto the skin. For best results use a gel that is pure aloe vera and check the label to ensure there are no other additives.

4. Vitamin K

Rubbing vitamin K cream onto the injured area can limit the blood leaks and reduce the severity of the bruise.  Combining vitamin K cream with retinol will help break down the blood so the body can reabsorb it more easily. Vitamin K cream is suitable to treat bruises all over the body and is quite safe on the face and around the mouth and eyes.

5. Bromelain

Bromelain is a mixture of enzymes found in pineapple. It has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce the severity of bruising as well as inflammation or swelling. If you want to increase your body’s Bromelain levels, you can either eat pineapple, purchase bromelain supplements (only if directed by your doctor) or apply a Bromelain cream or gel directly to the bruised area.

Getty

6. Increase iron intake

Increasing your iron intake helps to reduce the risk of bruising. If you want to boost your iron levels, consider maintaining a healthy diet that includes iron-rich foods like meat, poultry, beans, and green leafy vegetables. Alternatively, opt for iron supplements.

7. Vitamin C

Ensuring that you are getting enough vitamin C is yet another preventative approach, because vitamin C aids in collagen production and collagen improves both your skin and blood vessels’ abilities to withstand the impacts that lead to bruises. Given its preventative nature. this treatment is not something that you can start doing to assist with an existing bruise.

8. Rest

Sitting still and resting reduces blood flow which will in turn minimise the severity of a bruise. In severe circumstances, resting for up to 48 hours will assist in making sure you’re getting the most out of this treatment option.

Getty

9. Compression

Creating compression by wrapping the bruised area in a medium weight elastic bandage will help constrict the blood vessels and reduce the amount of blood that leaks from the vessels. This will in turn reduce the pain and swelling experienced in the area. While this method is not suitable for bruises on the face, it can be used on most other body parts, including the fingers and nails.

10. Apply heat

Applying heat either by way of a warm compress, heating pad, or hot water bottle can assist with blood circulation and blood flow. Blood flow and blood circulation will help your body clear away the blood that has pooled as a result of the bruise. Given the way in which heat affects a bruised area it should not be applied till after a bruise has formed.

11. Elevation

Elevating the bruised area above your heart helps fluid flow away from the bruised area, relieving pain, pressure and compression which contribute to bruising and pain. This treatment is not possible with all body parts, however if you can elevate the bruised area you should do so as soon as the trauma occurs.

Getty

12. Ice therapy

Applying an ice pack or cold compress to your injured area right away will help reduce the size of the bruise and swelling. Cooling the temperature of the injured area slows down the blood flow and reduces the amount of blood that leaks out. It’s important to wrap the ice pack in a cloth or towel and continued to reapply it to the area for 15 mins each hour for up to 48 hours after the incident has occurred.

A final word on bruises

In some situations, although not often, bruises can be as a result of a severe sprain or fracture. So, it’s important to monitor your bruise and get in touch with your doctor if you notice:

  • the bruise is still painful after 2-3 days, but you thought the injury was minor;
  • a lump over your bruise;
  • bruising for no reason;
  • bruising easily; or
  • blood in your urine or stool.

How to Get Rid of Bruises (Quickly)

What is a bruise?

Lunchtime procedure, walk-in-walk-out, virtually painless with minimal downtime – but then you start bruising. First off: don’t panic. Bruising is a temporary natural response to physical trauma that causes the damage of superficial blood vessels. The capillaries and venules burst, and the blood trapped under the skin causes a bruise. When it comes to facial bruises, their visibility can affect your self-image. But don’t worry. When your concealer can’t cover them anymore, we’ve got you covered: just read our guide on how to get rid of bruises quickly.

Classification of Bruises

It is important to pay attention to the lifespan of bruises  as it is indicative of the recovery stages.

We can interpret the age and healing stage of a bruise just by looking at its color. The appearance of the bruise changes because the body reabsorbs the blood and restores the skin color and sensitivity.

How long do bruises last? Naturally, there is variation in the healing time and color from person to person. An important element in this variation is the severity of the bruise -whether it is subcutaneous, within muscles, or within bones (periosteal). Another element is the location of the bruise, as the extremities of the body can take longer to fully heal.

The Color Spectrum

Pink/Red

The immediate response to trauma is the pink or red colorization of the injured area, happening immediately after the procedure. It can also be accompanied by swelling and tenderness to touch.

Blue/Purple

The swelling of the affected area combined with oxygen shortage lead to the skin darkening to blue or purple. The change of color from red to purple is gradual due to hemoglobin turning blue.

Green/Yellow

By the sixth day, hemoglobin starts breaking down and prompts the healing process to begin.

Yellow/Brown

By days 7-10, your body almost completely reabsorbs the spilled blood and the healing process concludes. The pale coloring gradually fades until the skin turns to its initial color.

External Influences

There are a multitude of factors influencing a patient’s risk of bruising and the duration of the recovery process. Age, gender, medication, diet, health, lifestyle and sedentarism are all important factors that might accelerate or hinder a patient’s healing response. Aesthetic practitioners should always examine each patient’s medical history and highlight any of these at-risk factors. Based on the risk analysis conducted, good practitioners will also utilize  specialized equipment to ensure risk minimization, such as opting for a blunt cannula rather than a needle when possible.

However, indifferent of the practitioner’s skillset and medical equipment, personal circumstances like the ones mentioned above dictate the post-intervention care. Below we present several methods to help you get rid of bruises quickly and effectively.

How to get rid of bruises?

Immediate Treatment

Immediately after a procedure the practitioner may apply gentle pressure to ensure any bleeding has stopped. Ice therapy is important in the first 48 hours as it helps constrict the blood vessels and reduce inflammation. Maintain an ice compress on the site where you feel discomfort for an average of 15-25 minute, followed by a 15 minutes break. Continue this cycle throughout the day, or for at least 3-4 hours, depending on your immediate feeling of alleviation. Note that you should not apply the ice directly on your skin, always wrap it in a cloth or towel.  Consistency and promptness are key to ensuring the effectiveness of the treatment, so make sure you alternate cycles appropriately.

Treatment after 48 hours

After 48 hours you need to encourage vessel dilation and blood flow in order to speed up the healing process. To achieve this, apply heat locally with a heat pad, compress or warm flannel. Reapply the warm compress repeatedly throughout the day, according to your personal level of comfort.

Bruise Treatment

Once the bruise forms after 48 hours, there are several natural tips that can speed up the recovery process.

Elevation

For facial bruising, try to remain upright and refrain from lying down in the daytime for the first 24 hours. For bruises on the arms and legs, the affected limb should be elevated above heart level. This will slow the blood flow to the area and help relief pain.

 Sunshine

UV light for 15 minutes a day encourages the breakdown of bilirubin that causes the yellowing of a bruise. I accelerates the absorption of blood and makes the bruise easier to conceal with makeup

 Rest

Avoid exercise for the first few days as this could worsen the trauma and extent of bruising.

Gentle Massage

Although we do not recommend massage following botulinum toxin procedures, it can be of benefit after some dermal filler treatments and other injectables.  The correct pressure on the outer edges of a bruise can help blood circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system. Using items such as the tube of a lip balm (applying gentle pressure with the cap) or a cold spoon in circular motions drives bruise reduction.

Diet

Arnica Montana

Arnica Montana is a well-known homeopathic remedy that gained popularity for its anti-inflammatory properties. We recommend it for bruising and post-operatory trauma, as one study found that the consumption of arnica helped reduce bruising after rhinoplasty. It comes in the forms of topical gel, cream, spray, or orally in the form of Arnica pills.

Bromelain

Bromelain is an enzyme mixture that derives from the components of the pineapple plant. These enzymes digest protein and have anti-inflammatory effects, helping reduce bruising when applied to the skin. It comes in the form of a topical gel or as oral supplements, if a medical specialist recommends it.

Quercetin

Quercetin is a flavonoid widely present in nature. It derives mostly from certain fruits and has anti-inflammatory properties similar to Bromelain. There are creams usually containing a mix of quercetin, bromelain, vitamin K, that specialists recommend to apply twice per day. Alternatively, you can find quercetin naturally in foods such as: apples, oranges, leafy vegetables, dark berries, red onion, and green vegetables.

The general medical consensus is to avoid consuming quercetin orally, as it produces several side effects and can disrupt the effectiveness of other medication. Ensure the topical administration only, unless advised by a certified healthcare professional.

 Vitamin K

The human body naturally needs vitamin K, as it proves to have an essential role in blood clotting. A vitamin k gel can deliver promising post-operatory effects with regards to bruising and inflammation. Similar to quercetin, we do not recommend the oral consumption as it interacts with other medications, specifically blood thinners. Vitamin K gels are generally available without a prescription, but fruits and vegetables are also a great resource: blueberries and strawberries, green leafy vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, kale, broccoli, parsley, romaine.

 Vitamin C

Foods containing vitamin C encourage collagen synthesis and help maintain capillary walls and tissues. The consumption of foods rich in vitamin C can have an accelerating effect on skin healing. Besides consuming foods that have a high dose of vitamin C, such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, berries,  it can also be applied topically, or as an oral supplement.

Zinc

Zinc is an essential mineral that promotes tissue-repair, and its deficiency can lead to delayed healing. High levels of zinc exist in seafood and meat, particularly red meat. However, nuts, wheat germ and mushrooms are also good sources.

 Bilberry Extract

Advocates of natural remedies advise on bilberry ingestion, as it stabilizes collagen levels, fortifies capillaries and treats poor circulation. This is due to the high dosage of anthocyanins, a type of flavonoid acting as antioxidants and offering anti-inflammatory benefits.

 Comfrey

Comfrey is an herb with a medical history of 2000 years, courtesy of its beneficial effects .The extracts from the plant’s root and leaves are ideal for pain relief inflammation. The recommendation is to apply it directly on the affected area a few times a day. Alternatively, you can prepare a compress by boiling the leaves, wrapping them in cloth and applying directly on the bruise.

 Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera gel has been extensively used in skincare and medical treatments alike, due to its  shooting and pain-relieving effects on the skin. Ensure that you apply it topically and are using pure aloe Vera gel with no additives.

Cayenne Pepper

In terms of pain-relief, cayenne pepper contains capsaicin, a chemical compound that has been found to stimulate the nerve endings on the skin. It is used in topical form to relieve pain and inflammation. It is recommended to be used in small doses with precaution, as it can cause burning sensations and irritation as side effects.

Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been suggested (although not scientifically proven), to stimulate blood flow to the affected area and therefore breaking up the blood clots formed as bruises. The general recommendation is to dilute the vinegar with warm water and apply it on the skin as a compress.

Tea Bags

Similarly to apple cider vinegar, tea is embraced as a home remedy for various skin ailments. Tea contains tannins, a chemical compound that is believed to act as an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agent especially found in green and black tea. Due to this compound, it is reported to reduce discoloration in bruises.

Witch Hazel

Witch hazel is a natural astringent to be used topically, as it contracts tissues and hinders bleeding. It is used for many skin issues, but it is reported to particularly aid bruise discoloration and the subcutaneous damage. The general advice within is to apply the product on a cotton pad and hold it gently on the bruised area for several minutes, up to three times a day.

 Iron Rich Foods

This is more of a preventive note but increasing your iron consumption is important in reducing the risk of deep tissue bruising. Boosting your iron levels should be affordable and sustainable in the long term, as it translates into adopting a healthy diet, abundant in iron-rich foods.

Concerns

Should you observe no improvement in the appearance of the bruise, or the healing process feels stagnant, you need to consult your doctor.

A bruise that becomes more painful and intensely colored than originally and is tender to touch is indicative of a hematoma forming. In that case, the blood is not reabsorbed and starts collecting under the skin or muscle. A medical intervention is therefore needed to extract the blood artificially. The general recommendation is to seek medical attention if the bruise is not visibly in the process of healing within 2-3 weeks or shows signs of infection, increased pain, or fever.

Outlook

Bruises are natural reactions to trauma induced to the skin, but with potential impact on deeper levels, such as the muscles or bones. They are temporary and visibly signaling the stage of the healing process.

Although there is variation in the way each patient’s body responds to trauma, there are ways one can speed up the process. From special supplements to cold compresses and UV exposure, there is certainly an element that you can incorporate in your post-intervention care. However, whether you decide on a single remedy or a combination of several, you should always discuss with your practitioner on how to integrate it in your recovery.

We understand your impatience regarding the outcome of your procedure but remember that your body needs patience and so do you – the results are always worth the wait.

How to quickly get rid of a bruise

Bruises often appear on the skin, most often due to falls, bumps, bruises. They are ugly, painful, can be a confirmation of vascular disease or latent damage to bone tissue. Is it possible to quickly get rid of a simple bruise, for example, in 3 days?

What is a bruise?

Bruise is the everyday name for a subcutaneous hematoma or bruise. Due to the rupture of blood vessels, the blood soaks into the surrounding tissues. Painful swelling forms at the site of injury.If the blood has nowhere to spread, then a lump is formed. This is typical for bruises on the scalp. Bruises from pricks are due to vascular damage or medication.

In the beginning, the bruise has a purple-cyanotic color, which is why it got its name. Subsequently, the color of the bruise changes to blue-green, then it turns yellow and finally gradually fades. The reason for this is the gradual destruction of hemoglobin from red blood cells. This is a natural process lasting up to 7 days.

When to see a doctor?

With a small bruise, with an obvious reason for its appearance, with moderate edema and slight pain, you should not worry.

A doctor’s consultation is needed if:

  1. the size of the hematoma does not correspond to the strength of the previous injury or there was no injury at all;

  2. within 2 days the bruise does not “bloom”, but becomes even darker or larger;

  3. edema is very pronounced and limits the mobility of the limb;

  4. after a blow to the back of the head, bruises appeared under the eyes;

  5. there are many small bruises on the legs or there is a rash;

  6. hematomas occur frequently and are accompanied by bleeding;

  7. people take anticoagulants, aspirin.

Unreasonable appearance of bruises may indicate increased fragility of blood vessels or pathology of the blood coagulation system. Sometimes liver disease can lead to this problem. Vessels may be weak due to vitamin deficiencies or inflammation (vasculitis).

We treat bruises

A bruise, especially on the face, does not look aesthetically pleasing. How to get rid of it in 3 days?

First aid is to cool the injury site. Ice, cold compress, or frozen food will work.Apply cold as early as possible and leave for about 20 minutes. This will lead to vasoconstriction, stopping bleeding and reducing swelling. The bruise will be slight. The next day, you can start warming up to accelerate the breakdown of hemoglobin.

Folk remedies can help. Already in the first hours, you can use lotions with lead water or Badyaga, attach a mashed Aloe leaf or a slice of fresh pineapple. You can make a compress with equal parts vinegar and vodka by adding a teaspoon of salt.Or apply gruel from pounded onion and salt.

Freeze parsley leaves crushed with water in advance. They can be applied immediately after a bruise, receiving cooling and treatment at the same time.

The pharmacy sells ready-made bruise remedies. For example, Rescuer ointment, SOS balm, Troxevasin, Bruise-off gel, ointments with Arnica, Ratovnik or Comfrey.

Regular use of any method will accelerate the regression of the bruise. Until he disappears, you can try to disguise him.

A bruise is unpleasant, but fixable. Measures to eliminate it are simple, but they must be carried out systematically, several times a day and repeated until the bruise disappears.

How to get rid of bruises. What remedies for bruises and bruises can be prepared at home

A bruise, also called a bruise or hematoma, appears as a result of a bruise that is strong enough to damage the blood vessels under the skin, but not enough to damage the top layer skin.This causes blood vessels to leak, resulting in red or purple spots on the skin. As the bruises heal, their color turns greenish-yellow, and then evens out to the color of our skin. Most bruises stay with us for several weeks, although some may last longer. Home remedies for bruising that get rid of bruises faster are simple home remedies.

The most common remedy for bruises and bruises is ice. It must be collected in a plastic bag, or in something else, from which melting water will not flow out, and applied to the affected area.The action of the mild cold provided by the ice will cool the blood vessels at the site of the injury. This will prevent further blood leakage into the surrounding tissue. Apply ice to the bruise daily, in the morning, for about 20 minutes. Do this until the bruise is completely gone.

How to remove a bruise at home

It is unlikely that we will go to the doctor about a bruise, most of us know how to remove a bruise at home. A popular remedy for bruising that our grandmothers often advise us is ordinary vinegar.Vinegar increases blood flow to the very surface of your skin, while dissolving the blood that has accumulated in the area of the bruise. What you need to do is soak a piece of clean cotton cloth in any kind of vinegar, apply the cloth directly to the bruise, and gently massage the affected area for half an hour. Do this twice a day until the bruise is no longer visible.

It is possible to remove a bruise at home not only with the help of cold, but also with the help of heat. For example, the use of a warming gel helps with bruises and bruises.The heat, like the vinegar in the example above, will help increase blood flow to the bruise, which will dissolve any trapped blood there. Rub the gel over the bruise, cover it with a piece of cloth or towel and let sit for fifteen minutes. Repeat the procedure once a day, preferably at bedtime.

Another tip – remember to keep the injured area as high as possible. A bruise is essentially a small reservoir of blood. If, for example, you have a bruise on your leg, then by holding it on a dais, you (or rather, the force of gravity) will cause the blood that has accumulated there to naturally drain towards the ground.

Bruises and vitamins

When a bruise flaunts somewhere on our body, blood oozes from the burst blood vessels under the skin in this place and fills the tissues surrounding the bruised area. This means that the bruise will only go away when the accumulated blood is reabsorbed. Some vitamins help these processes go faster, and also play the role of preventive measures, protecting against too much bruising in the future.

One of the vitamins that helps to cope with bruising is vitamin K.This vitamin gets its name from the German word “koagulation”, that is, coagulation, coagulation. Vitamin K strengthens blood vessel walls, making bruising less likely. It is known that vitamin K is widely used in medicine, in particular in plastic surgeons it is used to accelerate the healing of bruises after surgery.

Vitamin K can be taken as tablets, orally, or applied to the skin – it is included in some ointments. In addition, people who have bruises on their skin from the slightest blow – there is such a category of “lucky” – it is recommended to include in their diet foods rich in this vitamin: spinach, greens or cabbage.

Another vitamin that helps fight bruising is vitamin C. Foods high in vitamin C also contain rutin, a bioflavonoid that helps strengthen capillaries – the smallest and fragile of blood vessels. Vitamin C also strengthens collagen, the tissue located around the blood vessels. Both of these factors reduce our likelihood and severity of bruising.

For the elderly, who are especially prone to bruising, getting enough vitamin C is doubly important.From the age of 55, the amount of vitamin C in our body decreases. As we know, citrus fruits are constant sources of vitamin C for us: oranges, lemons, limes.

Finally, another trace element that will help us protect against bruising is zinc.

unprotected, beaten, hanged, drinking vinegar …

Domestic violence has become a real scourge of modern society, dozens of women become its victims in Kyrgyzstan every year.Often women do not die at the hands of their husbands, but leave life of their own free will: because of the unbearable physical and psychological pressure from a once loved one. We tell three stories of victims of domestic violence.

In January 2021, in the city of Karakol, Issyk-Kul region, two young women committed suicide. Seven children were left without mothers. In Tyup, a mother of four children died at the hands of her own husband.

People who knew the deceased women closely say that they were prompted to take such a step by the humiliation and violence they experienced in the family.

Gulmayram

A resident of the Tyup region, 40-year-old Gulmayram Taktashova , died on January 9 at the hands of her husband. Her four children were left orphans.

The woman who married her eldest daughter became a grandmother and lived with her husband and three children in the village of Dolon. It would never have occurred to anyone that such a tragedy could happen in a family that outwardly seemed quite prosperous.

Berdaaly Turgunbaev – uncle Gulmayram – still cannot believe in her death:

– We heard that Maka died (Gulmayram – ed.), and came to her home. During the examination, traces of three fingers were found on her neck. They say that she was strangled with a pillow on top. Investigative measures are now underway. I said that the funeral should be held, there should be no fuss, no scandal … I don’t even know what caused the tragedy. A person who has committed a crime will sooner or later answer before God. I have nothing more to say …

The husband of the deceased woman tried to commit suicide – he drank a large dose of veterinary drugs.On January 9, he was admitted to the hospital in serious condition, and on January 19, he died.

Sister Gulmayram believes that her sister’s death should be thoroughly investigated. In this case, there are a lot of not fully disclosed circumstances, she says:

– Maka always called on our sister’s birthday and congratulated her. This time she did not call. We do not know when or how she died. They say that Aybek (husband of Gulmayram – ed.), When he drank neocidol and was about to hang himself, saw his brother, he saved him then.They say that everything came from jealousy. But recently Aibek has been abusing alcohol. In such cases, Maka treated him, put him on his feet. We asked her if “Aibek was raising his hand against her. She answered no. When Maka was offended and left him to her relatives, he begged her and persuaded her to return. They returned home. And then after that he kills her …

Fellow villagers, close relatives of Gulmayram suspect that she died at the hands of a jealous husband.

Dinara Tezekova, daughter-in-law of her husband Gulmayram Aibek Asankanov, says that she still cannot believe what happened:

– They were an exemplary family.No one could even imagine that this would happen. I was dumbfounded when they said that Aibek had killed Maka. Because Aybek was a smart guy. He participated in all the events of relatives, helped everyone. And his wife always came to help.

Gulmayram Taktashova was buried on January 10 in the village of Dolon.

Aruuzat

Karakol school teachers recently lost one of their colleagues. In their opinion, the teacher, who achieved good results in her work, became a victim of domestic violence.

Nazira was a colleague and close friend of the deceased Aruuzat (name has been changed). She recalls a friend telling her that her husband raised his hand several times:

– She talked about the beatings, and if she ran away, he found her using geolocation and tortured her. Once, when she, unable to bear it, left home, he found her, brought her home, poured vodka into her mouth and beat her until morning … When I wanted to help, she told me not to interfere with their lives. The friend was afraid of her husband and did not go to the police.And she could not leave her children.

33-year-old foreign language teacher, mother of three children Aruuzat came to her mother’s house, drank vinegar and ended up in the intensive care unit of the regional hospital. She died on December 29.

Colleagues of the deceased said that she did this out of despair – because of a misunderstanding in the family, her husband’s cruelty, she turned to law enforcement. But the case was closed, as the relatives of the deceased woman refused to apply.

Nazira talks about cases when Aruuzat’s husband came and beat her at work:

– The husband did not hit on the face, where bruises may remain, but on the closed parts of the body that are not visible.There were days when he came to her work and beat her. I once told her to take a photo of her bruises. It turns out that he beat her in front of the neighbors when she started packing her things to leave. They drove Aruuzat to this point. Neither her mother nor her sister could protect her. She said that she no longer knew what to do, she could no longer endure. At that moment, when she drank the vinegar, her mother, her sister, her husband were next to her, who could take the bottle from her. She, it turns out, drank vinegar in front of them.

After being admitted to the hospital, the woman regained consciousness, she managed to write to her colleagues via WhatsApp. Colleagues say that a photo with bruises on the body was attached to the text:

– The last time we spoke to Aruuzat was when she was in the hospital. And before that, she did not come to classes, for almost a week we did not know anything about her. During the conversation on WhatsApp, she said that she had a fight with her husband and drank vinegar. She wrote that her mother did not understand her either, saying that she was making a big problem out of nothing.I photographed and sent 4 pictures with bruises on my hands.

The incident was registered with the EPRP as a suicide. According to the press secretary of the Internal Affairs Directorate Stalbek Usubakunov , the case was closed due to the lack of a statement from the relatives of the deceased.

In the conclusion of the forensic medical examination it was noted that the woman died from vinegar poisoning, no traces of beatings were found on her body.

“At this time, all the collected materials have been transferred to the prosecutor’s office to shorten the case and give a legal assessment.After the prosecutor’s office gives its assessment, the case will be reduced, ”says Usubakunov.

Attempts to contact the husband of the deceased Aruuzat were unsuccessful. Mom and family women refused to talk about the tragedy.

And mother-in-law Aruuzat told the following:

– She cooked khoshans at home. We knew nothing about the scandals. I went to my mother’s house and drank vinegar there. I asked the matchmaker why she drank, to which she replied: “These are our family problems.”I didn’t have the opportunity to go to her hospital and talk.

Aruuzat’s colleagues, the parents of her students, doubted that the teacher had suddenly and unreasonably decided to commit suicide, they wrote a statement to the police and the prosecutor’s office.

Gulzat

On the night of January 12, another resident of Karakol, the mother of three children, committed suicide Gulzat (her name has been changed). What prompted the 29-year-old woman to take such a step is still a mystery.

The regional police registered the case, conducted a forensic medical examination and, based on the conclusion that suicide had been committed, the case was reduced.

According to colleagues – employees of the local TV channel – Gulzat was a laconic person and kept everything to herself.

“She has been working since her student days. We worked together for almost 9-10 years. She was a responsible girl. Then she got married. I put my family first. We didn’t see her quarreling with anyone, making a scandal, ”says her colleague Dogdurgul Suyundukova.

In recent days, she began to notice that Gulzat walks gloomy, she recalls:

– In recent days, it has been noticed that she is saddened by something. But she did not say that there were any problems at home. She was not particularly frank. We still cannot understand why she took such a step. We would understand if she said that she had a fight at work or was offended by her husband. There were no reasons that could push her to death. Yes, and relatives say that they also did not say anything.She always protected her husband, did not allow him to speak badly about him.

Those close to Gulzat refused to comment on her death.

“Suicide is the last act of despair of a woman”

Activists and human rights defenders argue that it is impossible to ignore such events taking place in society. Expert on gender issues Banur Abdieva drew attention to the tragic events associated with the problems of women, which have intensified since 2011.

“The suicide of Venus, one of the best students of the Issyk-Kul University, and later another student on May 18, 2011, was somehow a sign for us. We have an article in the Criminal Code – “Driving to suicide.” But despite this, the cases are closed. We do not investigate the reasons that prompted our girls to take such a step. We also need to work with men. Many of them do not know how to talk to women, immediately raise their hands to them, or leave the house and do not return. Of course, the woman left alone with the children experiences stress, she cannot share her problems with anyone.He lives tormenting himself, ashamed of the words of loved ones and those around him. As a result, he turns into an unhappy, intimidated person who cannot freely express his opinion. And of course, a woman who has not found support takes such steps, ”says Abdieva.

There are two crisis centers in Issyk-Kul oblast that protect women who have been subjected to domestic violence and help them return to normal life.

In 2020, 160 women turned to these centers for help. Most of the women who applied did not find support among their loved ones, says the coordinator of the Center for Rehabilitation and Support, located in the city of Karakol, Maria Lichanyu :

– Most women have 3-4 children, some have 7-8.And they all come to us with their children in search of shelter and protection. They all talk about physical abuse or moral humiliation by the husband. Such women from the received stress subsequently cease to be aware of what they are doing and saying. First of all, psychologists work with them, who help them to control themselves, not to get angry. Because there have been many cases when a woman who has been abused wants to commit suicide. It is very difficult to return such a woman to normal life. 80% of women who come to us do not have higher education, they were stolen or their parents married early.It is difficult for them to find a job, to create conditions for them to provide for their children. And therefore, many of them return to their husbands, who mocked them, because their loved ones do not support them, fearing word of mouth.

According to experts, a woman who is subjected to domestic violence is understood by both her husband’s relatives and her relatives, but none of them is trying to help her. This is one of the biggest problems, says Nasipgul Amasbayeva , who defends the rights of rural women:

– Not only does she endure humiliation from her mother-in-law, there are cases when other family members set her husband against his wife.Her relatives say to endure and live. Violence against women is growing every year. We cannot get rid of the stereotypes that have developed among the Kyrgyz. For example, a boy is allowed to do everything from an early age, because he is a man, in charge. We bring up so that everything will be as he says. And we separate girls from ourselves from birth, telling them that a girl should get married, she got married – don’t come back. We put the responsibility on the girl, that she should serve in her husband’s house, give birth and raise children, work and be liked by everyone.But both the woman and the man need a family. If something happens, we immediately blame the woman, and this is also one of the reasons that push women to the edge of the abyss.

Increased violence during quarantine

In Issyk-Kul oblast, for 10 months of 2020, 537 women turned to the police about domestic violence. Of these, only 57 cases reached trial. 460 applicants withdrew their complaints and said that they had no complaints against their husbands.

This was also noted in a study conducted by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Kyrgyzstan.70 percent of cases of domestic violence were dropped due to reconciliation of the parties, the study said.

Head of the Association of Crisis Centers of Kyrgyzstan Tolkun Tulekova said that in just 10 months of 2020 more than 8 thousand women turned to the police for help:

– On November 27, a National Meeting dedicated to the problems of women and the family was held. It said that in Kyrgyzstan, 8,390 applications were registered, of which only 9%, or rather, 773 applications, reached court proceedings.And 84% of cases were closed. This does not mean that the abuser got rid of his bad habits and the woman began to live well. This suggests that the woman, due to the pressure exerted on her, was forced to withdraw her complaint. This means that most cases are stopped allegedly due to the reconciliation of the parties.

Psychologists are of the opinion that in Kyrgyz society, under pressure from close relatives, women are forced to withdraw their applications and try not to raise this problem a second time.They warn that for a woman who has closed her eyes to the violence committed against her, such a step is tantamount to suicide.

According to the official data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the quarantine period in Kyrgyzstan, the facts of domestic violence increased by 65%.

Take, for example, the case when in June last year in Suzak a man tied his wife’s hands, hung car tires around her neck, and then hit her in the face and poured cold water on her. The video of the torture made it onto the Internet and caused a violent reaction from the public.

After a while, the victim stated that she had no claims against her husband and withdrew her statement.

Also in June, but already in Bishkek, a woman was taken hostage by her partner, who stabbed her, as a result of which she died in hospital. On June 17, on Deng Xiaoping Street in Bishkek, an unknown man, out of jealousy, grabbed his common-law wife and brandished a knife, not allowing anyone to come near him. The police officers who arrived at the scene managed to free her.The woman who was stabbed was immediately taken to the hospital.

This incident coincided with the time when the problems of domestic violence were heatedly discussed in the society and questions were raised to strengthen the corresponding measures.

Human rights experts note that cases of domestic violence are increasing in Kyrgyzstan. As a result of such incidents, not only the woman herself, but also her relatives may suffer. So in July in Suzak, a 63-year-old woman died at the hands of her son-in-law.An 18-year-old boy came for his wife, who was visiting her parents, and inflicted 16 stab wounds on his mother-in-law. He also cut his father-in-law.

A woman died from her injuries in October in Osh. On October 22, her daughter, who was seven months pregnant, died from beating by her husband. The man, suspected of the death of his wife and mother-in-law, was detained for 2 months.

Researchers from the international human rights organization Human Rights Watch published an annual report on the state of human rights in Kyrgyzstan in 2020.The report highlighted cases of violation of human rights legislation, including facts of domestic violence.

This is stated in a report published on January 13, which notes the state of human rights in almost 100 countries, including Kyrgyzstan. The study by the international organization says that although changes have been made to the Criminal Procedure Code to protect victims of domestic violence, the authorities do not prosecute those responsible.

In Kyrgyzstan, the Law “On Protection and Protection from Domestic Violence” was adopted in 2017.

Director of the Public Association “Ensan Diamond” in the city of Osh Zhamilia Kaparova spoke about the punishment provided for by law for domestic violence:

Act decisively!

If you notice a bruise on your body, do not hesitate, just use the simplest method. A cold compress works great, but for the first 24 hours. The cold constricts the blood vessels, which prevents the bruise from spreading under the skin. It is easy to make a cold compress, for example from ice or by applying a cloth soaked in cold water to the bruise. The procedure should be repeated several times a day, but no longer than 10 minutes at a time.

Vinegar!

It goes without saying that vinegar is widely used in the kitchen, but many housewives consider it an environmentally friendly and versatile cleaning agent. However, it is worth asking for a confirmed patent for a bruise. What is it about? It is enough to dissolve a tablespoon of vinegar in 100 ml of water and soak in gauze with this mixture and apply on the skin for a quarter of an hour.

Warm compress

As you know, in the first 24 hours the best bruises are cold compresses that constrict blood vessels.After this time, you can reach for the warm compresses that make it easier to absorb unwanted changes under the skin! For example, a heating pad can be applied to a bruise – this will locally improve blood circulation and facilitate the resorption of an ugly lesion.

Cabbage film

Another method that grandmothers used was cabbage poultice. Why? First of all, this is due to the vitamin C it contains. Compresses can be made from the leaves, but before applying them to the skin, you should gently break them so that the juice is gently released!

It is also worth including in the menu more foods rich in vitamin C.It is she who helps to clog the blood vessels. Where can you find it? Including citrus fruits, but also, for example, in red peppers or parsley.

Massage

If we want to get rid of bruises, it is also worth using massage. It is enough to process the skin with spherical movements. It is worth combining massage with applying ointments, which can be bought, for example, at a pharmacy.

Prevention is better than treatment

You can not only remove, but also to prevent the appearance of hematoma.A contrast shower has a beneficial effect on the body, strengthening blood vessels. Pay attention to problem areas by gently massaging your skin.

Another well-known method of prevention is the use of citrus fruits, rose hips, carrots, bell peppers and all foods rich in vitamin C. Add vitamin K to your diet, it helps to cope with the fragility of blood vessels as well as its “brother”.

Important! The bruise disappears within two weeks, if the impact mark continues to grow and change color for more than a month, this is a reason to consult a doctor.This behavior can indicate a number of serious diseases, including a lack of estrogen in a woman, diathesis, varicose veins, and liver disease.

First aid for bruising

If the blow did not occur at home and there is no first aid kit at hand, use a cold compress. Place the bruised area under a stream of cold water or attach a cold object, it can be a metal spoon and anything that comes to hand. Keep the damaged area cold for 20 minutes.This approach can be called scientific, because it has long been known that the effect of cold constricts blood vessels, and this, in turn, reduces the risk of edema.

Compress for hematoma resorption

An effective remedy is a menthol compress. We will need gauze or bandage and an alcoholic menthol solution, which can be purchased at the pharmacy. After moistening the gauze with an alcohol solution, apply it to the damaged area for 20 minutes. Repeat the manipulation three times a day. This will help clear up the swelling and prevent bruising.

If there is no tumor after the first day, then use a warming compress. Heat has a positive effect on the initiation of tissue regeneration and minimizes the appearance of inflammation. Use sand or salt as a heat source. You need to apply a compress for 5 minutes 3 times a day.

Important! Do not apply a warm compress on the first day, it will make the situation worse.

Traditional medicine advice

Traditional medicine offers a variety of methods to choose from, it is enough to choose the most convenient one.

Onion gruel compress with salt

The main ingredients are onions and onions. It is necessary to grate the onion and then mix with one tablespoon of salt. Apply the resulting mixture to gauze and apply to the leg 3 times a day, holding the compress for 30 to 60 minutes.

If you don’t feel like crying from onions, try the cabbage leaf. It can be applied to a bruise immediately after an injury.

The ingredients at hand will also come to the rescue – this is a compress of vinegar and salt.To prepare first aid, you will need: half a glass of 6% table vinegar and 0.5 teaspoon of salt. Mix everything and put it on a sponge. Apply to the bruise for 30 minutes.

Also at hand there is always iodine, which will help get rid of the bruise. It is enough to make a standard iodine mesh. This method should not be used by people with thyroid disease.

How to quickly remove a bruise under the eye

  2. The flora comes to the rescue, namely calendula.It quickly removes swelling and prevents unpleasant hematoma from appearing on the skin. You don’t need to go in search of a plant, just go to the pharmacy and buy an alcohol tincture. Calendula is used as lotions and compresses.
  3. An aloe leaf will help with small bruises, but this will require a real leaf of the plant, which must be cut and applied to the sore spot.
  4. One of the most “flavorful” dark spot treatments is garlic.It is necessary to cut a clove and rub the bruised area or prepare a special compress. To do this, you need one crushed garlic and 250 ml of table vinegar. The bruised areas are rubbed with the prepared mixture.

By contacting the pharmacy, you can purchase gels and ointments, for example, Lioton, Troxevasin ointment, Heparin ointment. Pharmacy products are suitable for treating bruises on the lip and other tender areas.The ointment will begin to work within 12 hours, and the next morning there should be no trace of the skin.

How to quickly remove a bruise on a leg

A bruise on a leg spoils the mood of girls, especially in summer, when open clothes show not only perfectly smooth legs, but also open up bruises for everyone to see. With the arrival of warm weather, it becomes easier to earn a bruise, open skin is vulnerable to impacts, abrasions, scratches and other mechanical stress.

Upon receiving a blow, you must by all means stop the further growth of the bruise. On the first day, apply a cold compress to narrow the blood vessels. Cold also reduces pain. Used ice, frozen vegetables, ice cream and whatever comes to hand.

Do not apply the cold source to exposed skin, wrap it in a towel, napkin or handkerchief. If possible, rest and do not load your legs, the more load, the stronger the blood flow will affect the expansion of the hematoma.In no case during the first day should you warm the bruised place, this will lead to the growth of hematoma due to increased blood circulation.

Life hack: lift your leg above the level of your heart. This will stop not only bleeding, but also the growth of the hematoma. Gravity makes the blood drain from the bruised area, which will protect against yellow, blue and brown spots.

In case of severe pain, take ibuprofen or aspirin, the active substance of these drugs thins the blood, which will prevent hematoma from forming.

If more than a day has passed after the injury, the skin has darkened, and a greenish tint has appeared, it is necessary to direct forces to fight the resorption of the hematoma.

How to quickly get rid of a bruise on the second day

On the second day after the appearance of a bruise, it is necessary to stop the increase in hematoma and promote its resorption. In this case, warm compresses have proven themselves well. To the place where the hematoma appeared, you need to apply a heating pad or any warm cloth, towel. Creams with a warming effect are suitable, where the main active ingredient is snake and bee venom or pepper alkaloid.

If the hematoma looks swollen and swollen and still hurts, you need to take ibuprofen or any pain relievers, but it is important to adhere to the instructions and not violate the dosage.

  3. Products containing pineapple accelerate regeneration and reduce the size of bruises.

Each person’s skin is different, and reacts differently to abrasions and bruises individually. There are difficult situations when even scientific methods do not help get rid of a bruise. In this case, masking with the help of tonal means comes to the rescue. You can only use concealer and powder after a few days, when the bruise changes color and fades.

When a bruise is a cause for concern

It is necessary to schedule a visit to the hospital if a harmless bruise begins to grow, enlarge, harden and hurt for 2 weeks.It should also be alerted when bruises appear on the body for no apparent reason. Fever, headaches, blurred vision, if the bruise was inflicted near the eye, all these are reasons for visiting a doctor.

We hope our tips will help you in case of a bruise. After the impact, immediately proceed to resuscitation, apply something cold or go to the pharmacy for special ointments. Recover!

Compress from bruises from vinegar [2021]

The tissues crushed by a bruise experience oxygen starvation, and a large amount of blood rushes to them in order to compensate for the nutritional deficiency.Since some tissues at this moment have a broken integrity, there is a large release of fluid into the surrounding areas, and edema is formed. With a bruise, of course, pain appears. Few people know that if you apply cold salt to a sore spot (after wrapping it in a canvas cloth), then microelements that penetrate the skin will help relieve swelling due to the fact that they will join the cells and begin to organize them. In addition, the cold temperature in itself causes a reflex vasoconstriction and a general mobilization of the forces of the whole organism, which ultimately leads to the fastest recovery.So, in case of bruises, you need to apply bags of salt, having previously kept them for 10 minutes in the freezer. If you apply them almost immediately after your injury, you may not even have a bruise.

• Soak a piece of cotton wool or bandage in undiluted apple cider vinegar, apply to the bruised area and lie down with this lotion for about 15 minutes. After this procedure, you do not need to treat the bruise with either iodine or brilliant green – the vinegar has already disinfected the skin.

• Pour 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, about 50 g, into an enamel bowl and heat it over low heat.Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of salt in vinegar. Soak a piece of bandage in this mixture, apply it to the sore spot and leave to dry. Repeat the procedure several times.

• In case of severe bruising, apply a towel soaked in ice acidified water to the affected area (add 2 tablespoons of table vinegar or apple cider vinegar to 1 liter of water). Once the towel warms up, soak it in the solution again. Repeat the procedure until the pain subsides.

If you want to avoid bruising after a bruise, drink diuretic herbal infusions.For example, these are:

• Dandelion roots – 1 part, burdock roots – 1 part.

Pour 1 tablespoon of chopped roots with 1 cup of boiling water, close, leave for 40 minutes. Drink in 3 doses during the day.

• Dandelion leaves – 1 part, white birch leaves – 6 parts, tricolor violet flowers – 1 part.

Pour 1 tablespoon of the collection with 1 glass of boiling water, put in a water bath and boil for 1-2 minutes, leave for 2 hours.Drink throughout the day in even portions before meals.

It is advisable to add 1 tablespoon of honey and apple cider vinegar to these charges.

About 20 years ago, lifting a baby carriage with a sleeping daughter to the 3rd floor, I stretched the tendon of my right hand in the area of the wrist and above. For three days I could neither sleep nor twist the diapers. The clinic surgeon, having examined me, sent me home – they say, it will pass by itself.

But, as often happens in such desperate situations, help came from an unexpected direction.When I accidentally opened a book on traditional medicine, I stumbled upon a recipe for apple cider vinegar for the treatment of lameness in the knees of cows. I decided to try it on myself. Why not?

Beat 1 raw yolk with 1 tsp. turpentine (sold at the pharmacy) and 1 tbsp. l. apple cider vinegar. The composition is fragrant, you will have to endure. Gradually, over the course of 20 minutes, I rubbed it into the sore spot with a towel. I wrapped the same towel around my hand and for the first time calmly fell asleep. After the third rubbing (I did it at night) – as if nothing had happened.The composition dries up, so it is better to make a new one.

The same recipe helped my five-year-old daughter when she developed pains and cramps in her thigh from walking secretly in my stiletto heels. Young mothers, be attentive to your daughters! It was impossible to touch the leg: screaming, tears. I’m in a panic: sea tickets disappear in a few days. I remembered my recipe. After the first time, I did not notice much improvement, and after the third, everything went away, as if it had not happened. And the tickets were not lost.I would be glad if I can help someone.

From early childhood, a person is faced with broken knees, abrasions and bruises. With age, injuries become much less, but bruises accompany us all our lives. To hit your foot on the corner of the bed or your hand on a table or wardrobe – who doesn’t know this? In place of such microtraumas, there will certainly appear “evidence” of our inaccuracy – a bruise.

A bruise is a consequence of trauma to the superficial capillaries. From a bruise or blow, they burst, and blood pours out under the skin.As the oxidation of blood components proceeds, the bruise changes color from blue at the initial stage to greenish-yellow at the end of the healing process. Bruises do not require treatment; they usually heal on their own.

Hematoma – a more formidable hemorrhage from large vessels. Blood with a hematoma accumulates in soft tissues and muscles, giving the damaged area a sharp soreness and swelling. Unlike bruises, hematomas take a long time to make themselves felt and require treatment.

Hematomas can form after injuries of various origins, their localization is quite extensive from intracranial to cavity in the thoracic and abdominal region.Such hemorrhages are very life-threatening, therefore they require immediate examination and inpatient treatment. The most familiar and relatively safe hematoma of the upper and lower extremities, which proceeds quite easily, but already requires intervention in order to speed up the process of resorption of the blood clot.

Bruises do not adorn anyone, so I want to get rid of them as soon as possible. Traditional medicine offers many options for getting rid of unwanted stains. For these purposes, products are usually available in every home, with which you can prepare an ointment, compress or rub, which accelerates the healing process.And in this case, we cannot do without a wonderful gift of nature – amber apple cider vinegar, which will help get rid of bruises!

Vinegar contains many useful components that stimulate the body to regenerate, restore and heal the body. At the cellular level, the walls of the capillaries are restored, oxidation and the removal of the decay products of blood components take place.

There are several types of vinegar, from industrial to domestic varieties.There is no point in discussing the benefits of a homemade product, this is understandable and so – there can be nothing better than homemade apple cider vinegar! But there are options when there is no such product, all this is only in the future, but you need to be treated! In this case, we can use natural apple cider vinegar from the store. Of course, there are much fewer useful qualities in it, but there will be benefits. It is better not to buy vinegar essence – this is pure synthetics, there are no apples there. The main thing is to read the label carefully.We are looking for the inscription on it: “Ingredients: apples, apple cake.” We tune in to a not cheap product (at least 400 rubles) and go to treat the bruises! As a last resort, you can use 9% ABV table vinegar. This is also a synthetic product, but due to the creation of an acidic environment on the skin, the regeneration process will still go faster.

Homemade apple cider vinegar does not need to be diluted, its strength is 4-5%, this is an ideal option for external treatment. If we consider vinegar essence or table vinegar, then you need to very carefully and carefully dilute the vinegar with water.You need to be especially careful when receiving a solution for a child (and who most often comes home with bruises in our country?), In order to prevent burns on the delicate child’s skin. We operate according to plan:

  • we carefully study the proportions of the solution;
  • we connect the components;
  • check the ratio;
  • we taste it.

You should definitely try infant formula! The solution should have a slightly acidic taste, in this case, a therapeutic effect will be provided.

There are several excellent ways to get rid of the blue-green or purple “ugliness” that spoils the appearance and delivers painful sensations. These funds are also used in traditional medicine, therefore, with large subcutaneous hemorrhages after car and other accidents, doctors usually “connect” to drug treatment and folk remedies for bruises. Procedure:

  • to apply ice to the bruised area;
  • in the absence of ice – attach any food from the freezer, wrapped in a napkin;
  • for severe pain, you can take an analgesic tablet;
  • Use traditional medicine or medication.

RECOMMENDATION!
For bruises and bruises, do not take aspirin! It thins the blood and reduces its clotting, which is unacceptable in the case of bruises and hematomas.

The easiest way to relieve pain and get rid of bruises on the body, swelling and hematoma in the shortest possible time! To do this, you need to take 100 ml of 9% table vinegar (mix in the correct proportions if it is an essence!) Or 4% homemade vinegar with half a teaspoon of salt. Moisten a napkin, apply on the bruise for half an hour.It is advisable to repeat the procedure 3 times a day.

You can further speed up the process and easily get rid of bruises at home by adding vodka to the acetic duo, enhancing the effect of acetic acid. To do this, mix 100 ml of vinegar and 100 ml of vodka, then add 1 tsp. salt. Make lotions as needed, the result will not be long in coming! This method of treatment cannot be applied to children. Vodka additives are harmful to the child’s body and should be excluded from recipes.

Not always in an emergency you can find high-quality vinegar in the house … In this case, there are other tips of traditional healers that can help remove a bruise.

This product will definitely be found in any home and will perfectly help eliminate bruises. You need to grate 1 small onion and add 1 tsp to the onion gruel. iodized or sea salt. Apply 2 times a day for 30 minutes.

The simplest remedy if you have a banana in your house. The banana should be eaten, and the inner side of the skin should be applied to the bruise for 15 minutes.

If your family has at least one son, then in the first-aid kit there must be a badyag in any form. It can be a powder, or it can be an ointment or cream.You will have to use this tool often enough, but it is effective and gives positive results.

Try the vinegar anyway! Once you have prepared a home remedy for all diseases, you will never be able to refuse it!

Marina, 34 years old
I have 2 sons, and all the injuries must be multiplied by 2 … Everything is always bruised, there is not enough money for the ointment. Mom taught me how to treat bruises with vinegar, I rub the boys almost from head to toe, add salt. The result is really there, I experimented, so I know for sure, it works!

Alena, 39 years old
I faced a problem once.Unfortunately, my husband pushed me intoxicated, I fell, in the end – I had to treat and remove a terrible black eye … I don’t know what I would do, but there is Internet. I found an option with onions and vinegar, I had to endure a terrible onion “aroma”, but the result was! It all happened on Friday, and on Monday I calmly went to work, slightly tint everything with foundation. It’s scary to imagine what would have happened without treatment …

For bruises, sprains, dislocations, aches, I use burdock. Treatment 15 days, I put the leaves on the wrong side (not washed) on the sore spot, wrap it up at night.It is necessary to prepare burdock for the winter in the month of May. I prepare a tincture: I fill a 0.5-liter jar with chopped burdock leaves, knead it tightly and add 0.5 liters of vodka. The infusion turns dark green, when I cough, I rub it on my back, feet with aching joints, when the muscles are stretched, the sore spot and wrap it up with something warm. I keep the burdock in a jar until spring, then I squeeze it out, throw away the cake, and still use the tincture.

The main thing for a wound is the speed of first aid. If there is no medicine at hand, lubricate the cut with the juice of any dark green plant (rub it in your palms).The blood will stop, the pain may intensify for 2-3 seconds and subside.

Apply a warm compress of apple cider vinegar to the bruise.

For bruises: prepare the dough from 0.5 cups of flour, fermented baked milk, 0.5 teaspoons of baking soda. Apply to the bruise as often as possible.

Stretching is a nuisance. Wrapping the sore spot can significantly reduce the recovery time. Take a little warm apple cider vinegar, moisten a linen napkin or cheesecloth in it, squeeze lightly.Sprinkle one side of the napkin with ground black pepper, attach the peppery side to the sore spot and wrap with a terry towel for 5-10 minutes. Repeat after 5-6 hours. Usually 3-4 times is enough. The method is very effective.
Or so. Heat a bottle of apple cider vinegar in any enamel bowl, dissolve 2 teaspoons of salt in warm vinegar and add 4 drops of ordinary iodine. Cool the mixture. It is stored for a long time. In case of injury, take a cotton napkin, moisten it in a solution, squeeze it slightly, put it on the damaged area, put pieces of ice on top, cover it all with plastic and fix it with a towel.Lie down for 10 minutes without moving. After that, apply a tight bandage to the sore spot.

For dislocation, take the protein of 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of flour and knead the dough. Put this dough on a long cloth, make a loose bandage over the place of the dislocation. Hold until the swelling subsides and the bandage looses.

From the blow – displacement of the meniscus, the knee was swollen, the leg stopped bending. Dissolve honey in alcohol (1: 1) and make warm compresses on the knee at night, preheating the mixture in a water bath.I did it at night and during the day. After 1.5 months, the swelling came down from the knee, and the leg gradually began to bend. The treatment took a little more than 2 liters of the mixture.

Cyst on the leg under the knee. The child was 3 years old. The cyst was about the size of a chicken egg. Every night a burdock was tied to the knee and removed in the morning. That’s all the treatment, the cyst was removed.

Tissues compressed during injury experience oxygen starvation, and a large amount of blood rushes to them in order to compensate for the nutritional deficiency. Since some tissues at this moment have a broken integrity, there is a large release of fluid into the surrounding areas, and edema is formed.With a bruise, of course, pain appears. Few people know that if you apply cold salt to a sore spot (after wrapping it in a canvas cloth), then microelements that penetrate the skin will help relieve swelling due to the fact that they will join the cells and begin to organize them. In addition, the cold temperature in itself causes a reflex vasoconstriction and a general mobilization of the forces of the whole organism, which ultimately leads to the fastest recovery. So, in case of bruises, you need to apply bags of salt, having previously kept them for 10 minutes in the freezer.If you apply them almost immediately after your injury, you may not even have a bruise.

• Pour 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, about 50 g, into an enamel bowl and heat it over low heat. Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of salt in vinegar.Soak a piece of bandage in this mixture, apply it to the sore spot and leave to dry.

A contusion is a received, closed damage to one’s organs or tissues, but with a minimal disruption of their condition (structure). Basically, it damages the skin itself, muscle or fiber. Folk remedies for bruises will help you get rid of any bruise completely painlessly.

Hematoma (popularly just a bruise) is a formation with an accumulation of blood in one place, after a variety of tissue damage, followed by rupture (or damage to blood vessels).In this very place, a cavity of various sizes is formed, which will contain blood, in a coagulated form.

Tool No. 1. This is already a proven method of healing by many. It effectively relieves any swelling and eliminates the accumulation of unnecessary fluid. We need vegetable oil, ordinary vinegar and boiled water. All these ingredients are taken in only 1 tbsp and must be thoroughly mixed together. Take any suitable cotton cloth and saturate with this solution.Place the fabric immediately over the entire bruise, cover the top with cellophane and tie with any suitable fabric. For many, only 3 such described procedures will be enough to completely get rid of any bruise and hematoma.

Onions and salt. Using this recipe, you will eliminate any bruising that occurs. Select 6 garden onions and pass them through a kitchen grater, be sure to use the smallest size. Exactly 1 tbsp of salt (preferably stone) is added to the resulting mixture. We place this composition in a cloth and place it on the bruise (hematoma).An effective compress is changed three times in 1 day, for 7 calendar days. This is also a decent and proven method by many people.

Tool No. 2. Also a guaranteed folk remedy for bruising the leg or other parts of the body. We need spruce resin, pig lard (not salted) and birch tar. All of the listed ingredients are taken in equal (equal) volumes. Everything needs to be placed in a pot made of real clay, tightly closed and covered completely with dough.Previously, our descendants placed this pot in an ordinary Russian stove.

In modern times, use a kitchen oven that is already preheated (but turned off) to the limit. Leave our pot in the oven for about 18 hours. The resulting unique ointment is applied to the site of the injury. Before applying the ointment again, first warm it up with a cloth. Even the most severe bruises and hematomas are treated.

Treatment of foot contusions with folk remedies in adults.

If a severe injury occurs, complete rest of the leg is required.The first correct action is to apply ice to the injury or, if possible, any cold substance, followed by a tight bandage.

In case of injury to any limb (hand, leg), it will be effective to bandage with an elastic bandage, and only then place ice. Loosen the bandage in time so that the correct blood circulation does not occur. Try to use cold soaps for about the next 30 hours. Warming up of hematomas and bruises is allowed.

Tool No. 3.Another most proven recipe. Hop cones (1 tablespoon), healing St. John’s wort (3 tablespoons), natural wormwood (2 tablespoons), wild rosemary (1 tablespoon) are mixed together. Separate exactly 3 tablespoons of the described medicinal mixture and brew them in a regular thermos with a volume of 0.5 liters. Already after exactly 3 hours, soak the cotton fabric in a hot composition and immediately place it on the damaged site. After cooling down our compress, you can remove the fabric.

Tool No. 4. The prepared ointment will also not be inferior in effectiveness to the treatment of any bruises and bruises.Peel a small garden onion, put it in a suitable enamel mug, pour 150 ml of oil, always refined, and bring to a boiling point.

Next, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook our onion until it is completely blackened. Without letting the onion cool down to the end, squeeze it into oil. Remove the topmost layer from the laundry soap and pass the soap through a grater to make 1 tbsp. l. Add soap and 100 g of wax to the rest of the mixture and mix completely. Store only in the refrigerator itself.

Use massage to speed up the process. Massage the skin very carefully around the bruise itself. The main thing is to fix your damaged joints with your hand. It is recommended to gently rub your skin using not strong circular or spiral movements, or just lightly stroke the area. The procedure is performed up to about 5 minutes, always in the direction of its venous outflow.

Approximately on the 4th day, if the swelling disappears, redness disappears, then a massage is done on the bruise itself.The massage can be done in different directions and it is desirable to alternate it with ordinary stroking.

Ligament sprain is a rupture (or tear) of the tissue fibers themselves, as a result of any stretching. Any torn tissues or fibers always begin to grow together on their own, but it is better to speed up this process and use folk remedies for sprains.

Proven Method # 1. If you have a stretching, then take raw garden potatoes, gruel from homemade onions together with sugar, cabbage (salted or fresh) and mix with medicinal clay, which is completely saturated with yogurt.This mixture is stirred under tension for 7 hours.

Proven Method # 2. Dissolve in a liter of water 500 ml of ordinary clay and 1 tbsp. l vinegar, no difference apple cider vinegar or table vinegar. Add garlic gruel to everything (2 teeth). The main thing is to stir everything qualitatively. Rinse the stretch site with a wet cloth and immediately apply the mixture very tightly (on a napkin) and tie it with a simple bandage.

When rewinding the bandages, try not to allow even a little mixing of the napkin, and cover the bandage with gauze.After about 2 hours, the clay will dry, remove it and rinse the place with warm water. Then install a new lotion, with a change of clay. Three such procedures are recommended per day.

Proven Method # 3. Peel and cut 2 heads of garden garlic, fill them with apple cider vinegar (500 ml) and real vodka (exactly 100 ml). Leave the composition to infuse for 14 calendar days, in a fairly dark, suitable place. Shake the treatment solution every day. Strain, add 16 drops of eucalyptus oil and use this wonderful compress.

Proven Method # 4. This next recipe may be able to soothe the pain that occurs after stretching. Boil the branches, roots and the leaves of the medicinal barberry in 1 glass of milk. After the necessary straining, drink 1 tablespoon 4 r per day.

Treatment of a bruised knee with folk remedies.

1). Complete rest of the knee. Try to avoid any even minimal movements, not only with the knee, but also with the leg itself.

2). Apply ice. This will reduce the future hematoma, and the procedure should last no more than 10 minutes.

3). Apply a bandage. If a tumor occurs, an elastic bandage will be required (in the absence of a cloth).

Oil and vinegar. To heal a bruised knee, take sunflower oil, hot water and vinegar (1 tablespoon each) and mix well enough. Moisten a suitable cloth and apply to the knee injury, fix with a suitable bandage and do not remove until 4 hours, heal for 3 calendar days, 2 times a day.

Wormwood. Further away from the city and especially the roads, pick off the leaves of street wormwood and pass through an ordinary kitchen meat grinder.This composition is applied to any tissue, placed on a bruise and fixed with a bandage. Change the dressing every 1.5 hours and the pain will certainly subside.

Honey and alcohol. If you hurt your knee when you fall, then treatment with folk remedies will definitely help you. The described ingredients are taken in exactly the same formulations and used as an ordinary compress, followed by warming.

Bay leaf. It provides the necessary elasticity and mobility. You will need only 20 grams of bay leaf, which you need to pour boiling water over, boil for 20 minutes and leave for a couple of hours.The broth is taken orally, just before bedtime.

In addition, rub in a special tincture of laurel. Half a pack of healing laurel is filled with unrefined oil and removed into the darkness for a whole decade. Rub the tincture into a bruised knee, which will quickly relieve inflammation and swelling.

After receiving a bruised breast, try to fix your breasts in an elevated state, squeezing with a suitable bandage. And every next 40 minutes, make a cold compress, which will calm the pain and prevent the development of a hematoma.

If your damage is serious, then immediately use the help of a doctor, if the damage is minor, then folk remedies can also cope with it.

Cabbage. Soften its leaves and immediately apply to the resulting hematoma on the chest. Try not to remove the sheet for at least 1 hour, but do not use a rigid bandage (fixation) at all. It is allowed to lightly (without squeezing) fix it with a bandage.

Potato starch. Begin to dilute the starch with water until thick.It is applied in an even layer on the bruise, lasting up to 60 minutes, three times a day.

Bodyaga. Buy at any pharmacy. It will also need to be diluted with water until there is a state of thick sour cream. Wet any gauze (you can use a bandage), attach it to the sore spot, and put polyethylene on top. Do not remove the compress until 3 o’clock and any hematoma will disappear.

Salt. Dissolve common salt (1 tsp) in warm (not hot) water. Moisten the cotton wool swabs with the solution and apply to the entire area of the bruise.

Grape seeds and pine extract. Mix together the extract from the grape seeds themselves and the extract, preferably northern pine, in equal (equal) volumes. Rubbing into the soft tissue of your breast should be done with extremely light movements.

St. John’s wort. It has always been used in the treatment of bruises with folk remedies. It is ideal not only for outdoor use but also for indoor use. Pour in clean boiling water exactly 8 grams of this healing herb and keep on low heat, no more than 10 minutes.After sufficient cooling, everything is filtered, poured into 3 separate, equal parts. Drink each portion before meals.

To obtain the desired quick healing effect, use the same decoction for lotions or compresses. Just dip gauze in it and immediately apply to the resulting breast hematoma, no more than 2 hours, followed by rinsing.

Contusion is the most common type of home or work injury. A bruise is characterized by damage to muscle and connective tissues and blood vessels without violating the integrity of the skin. In this case, the bones are also not affected. A bruise can be obtained by unsuccessfully falling or hitting hard, bruises are received in fights and in accidents. Different parts of the body, head, face can be affected.Injuries can vary in severity, but even the lightest require first aid to relieve pain, swelling and prevent hematoma formation.

A compress will be very helpful in this case. This is a piece of tissue or gauze that is moistened in water or a medicinal product and applied to a sore spot to relieve pain, reduce swelling, and speed up the healing of an injury. Also, the compress can consist of any improvised components that are wrapped in cloth or special paper and also applied to the bruise.

Pay attention! A compress differs from a lotion in a wider variety of agents used (not necessarily liquid formulations), and in the duration of use. if the lotions are applied for 10-15 minutes, then the compress can be left for several hours and even overnight.

So, what compresses can you do to relieve pain, swelling and prevent the formation of a horrific purple-blue hematoma?

The simplest and most effective compress in the first few hours after a bruise is ice or cold water.If it’s winter outside, then you can apply snow to the affected area. Other options for a cold compress:

ice cubes, wrapped in a cotton napkin;

  • plastic bottle with water, which must be placed in the freezer for 1-2 hours;
  • a towel soaked in ice water;
  • a pack of frozen vegetables or any other product from the freezer.
  • By the way, it is believed that if you apply a piece of raw frozen meat or bacon to a bruise, healing will be faster.But this method of treatment has not yet received official confirmation. If the bruise is on the forehead or on the nose, then it is very convenient to apply a spoon cooled in the freezer to it.

    If on the first day it is recommended to apply only cold to the bruised place, then on the second day everything changes radically – now you need to make warming compresses.

    Pay attention! Be careful, if the tissues become inflamed, then heating them is contraindicated – this “treatment” promotes the spread of infection throughout the body.It is best to use special ointments and gels for bruises – there are a lot of them in the pharmacy now, you can choose an inexpensive and effective remedy. If pharmaceuticals are not available, then proven folk recipes will help out:

    1. Plantain . If the misfortune happened in the summer at the dacha, then it will not be difficult to find this medicinal plant under the fence in the garden. Its leaves are collected, washed and chopped with a knife so that a juicy gruel is formed. This gruel is transferred to a piece of gauze or bandage, folded in two or three layers, and applied to the bruised area, fixed on top with a bandage.You can keep such a compress all night, and replace it with a fresh one in the morning.
    2. Cabbage. Fresh cabbage leaf can quickly relieve pain, swelling, reduce redness and even draw out pus if it has accumulated under the skin. This remedy helps not only with bruises – the cabbage leaf is used for sprains of muscle tissues, joint and headaches, insect bites. In our case, the cabbage leaf needs to be washed, crushed so that it lets out the juice, and tied to the bruise. After half an hour, the leaf is changed to fresh, and so on for 4-5 hours.Then the sheet can be applied two to three times a day until the tissues are completely restored. For greater efficiency, you can grease the cabbage leaf with honey.
    3. Homemade cottage cheese . This is also a folk remedy for bruises and inflammations, proven over the centuries. To relieve pain and swelling with bruises, first the curd must be cooled in the freezer, then wrapped in a clean cloth or gauze and applied to the sore spot. The used cottage cheese must be thrown away – it is not suitable for food, even for animals.
    4. Tea brew .It is very simple to use this remedy: the tea leaves are transferred to cheesecloth and tied to the bruise. You need to keep such a compress for about an hour, then remove the dry tea leaves, discard and apply fresh.
    5. Bread crumb . Another ancient folk remedy for bruises. The crumb of rye bread is soaked in milk, then applied to the hematoma and rewound with a cotton cloth.

    In the past, bruises and bruises were treated with lead water, it was even sold at the pharmacy. Today, such a drug cannot be found, although lead is found in many pharmaceutical anti-shock and anti-inflammatory drugs.

    There are folk recipes that even doctors approve of. It will take some time to prepare, but the ingredients are very simple, they are sure to be found in everyone in the house, and the effect is worth all the effort. The greatest recognition was given to this product:

    • Peel one medium raw potato and one onion;
    • grind vegetables on a grater or in a blender;
    • add to the mass the same amount of chopped fresh white cabbage;
    • mix everything and add a few tablespoons of kefir, or better homemade yogurt – you should get a thick gruel;
    • with this composition, thickly lubricate the affected area, cover with oilcloth, bandage and leave for at least two hours.

    The rest of the compress is washed off with warm water, after which the bruise must be wrapped again warmly. If you do this procedure several times a day, in two or three days there will be no trace of a bruise.

    What else do folk healers advise for severe, painful bruises, accompanied by edema and hematomas?
    Apple cider vinegar will help. It needs to be heated, then add the same amount of warm water. Add a teaspoon of sodium chloride and baking soda to the solution, stir until the powders are completely dissolved.The resulting liquid is impregnated with gauze and applied to the bruised area. After 30 minutes, the pain will go away and the bruise will resolve much faster.

    And you can also brew herbs: sweet clover, arnica, fragrant rue, wormwood. A napkin is moistened in the broth and applied to the bruised area every hour until the pain and swelling go away.

    A more exotic way to fight bruises is with fresh banana peels. It is applied to the bruise for half an hour, then changed.

    Even the most common injury at first glance deserves attention and medical supervision. Complications and consequences may not appear immediately, after months or even years. Often, a person gets a serious pathology – for example, coarthrosis or bursitis – which significantly impair the quality of life, partially disable the ability to work and can even lead to disability. And all because at one time the most common injury was ignored. Therefore, with such injuries, do not be too lazy to go to the doctor and take an X-ray, it will not be superfluous at all. Well, how to treat a bruise – with pharmaceutical preparations or folk remedies – everyone decides for himself.

    90,000 How to quickly get rid of a bruise at home

    Bruises cause inconvenience at any time of the year, in summer they are especially unpleasant, as they are visible to others. Hit and worry about your beauty? Not everything is so bad, because there are ways to quickly get rid of a bruise!

    How to quickly get rid of a bruise

    Cold – main assistant

    Despite the painful sensations, the site of the injury must first be rubbed well.This will help to disperse the blood accumulated in the vessels. After that, apply a cold object: a piece of ice, frozen vegetables, cold metal – and hold for a few minutes. This helps to reduce swelling and vasoconstriction, reducing the likelihood of bruising. Apply a tight bandage to keep the bruise from growing.

    Restoration of blood vessels using onion rubdown

    Rub the site of the injury, after a cold compress, with a half of an onion. This will prevent the formation of severe bruising, as the essential oils contained in onions contribute to faster vascular recovery.To achieve a positive effect, you must do this procedure at least three times a day.

    Vodka wrap for removing blue stains

    Vodka compress will help in cases when it was not possible to treat a bruise with a cold in time, and the bruise has acquired a purple or blue tint. Mix alcohol or vodka with water in equal proportions, moisten cotton wool in this solution, apply to the bruised area and fix with a bandage. Do this compress four times a day, leaving it for half an hour each time.

    Removal of edema with vinegar wrap

    Apple cider vinegar will help in cases where a large hematoma has formed, as it releases the capillaries in the affected area and speeds up blood flow. Dissolve 3 tablespoons of vinegar in 200 ml of cold water, moisten a cotton cloth or gauze and apply to the bruise. Fix and leave for 25-30 minutes. Repeat the procedure four times a day.

    If bruises appear when you press on your hand or light bruises, this indicates a lack of vitamins K and C.Vitamin K is replenished in summer by eating white cabbage and cauliflower, cucumbers, tomatoes, and potatoes. Apples, strawberries, carrots, beets, parsley, and dill are all rich in vitamin C. Eating these foods reduces the likelihood of bruising.
