We have integrated link buttons to music streaming services into our website. The data is processed on the basis of your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. We cannot rule out the possibility that personal data may be processed by the respective provider outside the European Union and/or the European Economic Area. This may make it difficult to enforce data subjects’ rights (such as e.g. the right of access). We have integrated the music streaming services into our website to use audiovisual means to advertise our products. Since we have integrated the music via external music streaming services providers, we do not need to host the songs on our own servers and can use our resources elsewhere.

Whenever you visit our website and click on the button of a music streaming services provider, a direct connection is established between your browser and the server of the music streaming services provider. As a result, the music streaming services provider obtains certain information about the device that you use to visit the website and about how you interact with the music streaming service. Depending on whether you have a customer account with the respective provider of the music streaming service and have logged into this, the respective provider may also use the data processed to create a profile. The respective provider of the music streaming service is solely responsible for these data processing operations. With regard to these data processing operations, you should exercise your rights as a data subject (such as e.g. rights of access) directly with the respective provider of the music streaming service, since only this provider has access to your personal data and can take appropriate measures and provide information.

How to clean CDs with alcohol

06/23/2022 Music discs

People still listen to CDs Despite the music industry being dominated by streaming, CD and vinyl sales continue to be strong in 2022. Blank CDs sound better too, and if you have CDs you’ll want to know the best ways to keep them clean. They should also be stored properly to prevent damage. You can use the same tactic to keep your DVDs clean and in working order.

Dirty and clean CDs

You probably have a dedicated space for CDs in your home for your collection, but you may not be taking care of them properly. A blank CD will play perfectly and you won’t notice any gaps or distortion in the music. Dirty discs have characteristics that affect their playback.

Many people leave their CDs out of their boxes, causing dust and scratches to accumulate. How do you know when to clean a CD? The first sign is when it starts to jump. Ignore this symptom and the next moment it will stop and stop playing.

Look at the CD and see if it has any scratches. If you can’t see any bands, you may need to hold the CD at different angles under the light. Even if you don’t see anything, it’s probably time to clean up your drive. Regardless of which method you try, scratch prevention is a priority, so use light touches.

The Best CD Cleaner

Alcohol is the best CD cleaner, but there is a little prep work to do first. Hold the CD with your thumb inside the center hole and your other fingers on the rim. Using a can of compressed air, hold the nozzle at a distance of 15-20 centimeters and blow off the dust with air jets. Wipe the CD with a microfiber cloth to remove grease stains. Instead of rubbing the disc in a circle, start at the inner rim and rub against the grit.

Mix 1:1 parts of water and rubbing alcohol in a small container and dip a cotton ball into it. Wipe the CD the same way you would with a cloth. You need to rub very gently to remove any marks or stains. Lay the CD on a towel, let it dry for about 30 minutes, and return it to the CD case. If you don’t have a CD case, now is the time to get one.

Some experts use hand soap rather than alcohol to clean CDs. To try this, add a small amount of liquid soap to a bowl large enough to hold a CD. Pour warm water over it, stir and soak the CD for about a minute, keeping it completely covered with the liquid. Rinse it under running warm water and dry it with a lint-free microfiber cloth.

Keeping the love of CDs

Some music lovers prefer CDs because they are hard to damage, don’t warp like vinyl records, and are more stable than some other media. If you can keep them clean and in working order, then they are well worth your purchase.

Of course, not all artists release their albums on CD. The most famous songs are sold on streaming services, but not all artists support CDs.

However, the CD market still exists. Adele’s latest album, 30, sold 839,000 copies at the end of November 2021, pushing Taylor Swift’s “Red (Taylor’s Version)” to the side. Believe it or not, “30” sold mostly on CD: 378,000 compared to 108,000 vinyl copies.

[Solved] How to Clean Blu-ray Disc [Safe and Effective Way]

Blu-ray discs are easily damaged, which can damage data. Therefore, you need to know about Blu-ray Disc Cleanup methods. If you are one of the users who always have a ton of Blu-ray discs, you must know how to clean Blu-ray discs. This post explains how to clean Blu-ray discs at home with the help of available tools. Read on to find out more.

How to clean a Blu-ray disc

  • Part 1: How to clean a Blu-ray disc
  • Part 2: Back up Blu-ray movies before cleaning
  • Part 3: Frequently Asked Questions about Blu-ray Disc Cleanup

Part 1: How to Clean a Blu-ray Disc

What You Need

We recommend using a microfiber cleaning cloth, cotton-based cloth, or cloth to clean Blu-ray discs. Make sure all materials are non-abrasive before use. Water will work as a cleaning agent in most cases.

If water cannot remove debris, a more powerful Blu-ray disc cleaner may use isopropyl alcohol. However, it would be better if you only do this in extreme cases. You can also use a very light detergent; otherwise, a soft cloth with a much stiffer surface should be used instead of cloth.

How to clean a Blu-ray disc

You’re ready to start cleaning as soon as you have clothes and the right detergent. With the index and thumb of one hand, grasp the edges of the disk. You should not touch the playing surface directly, as this may cause damage and new stains. Detergent should be sprayed onto a cloth or paper towel rather than washing the disc.

Disk cleaning requires a unique technique; avoid circular movements with a cloth and wipe the disc from the center to the edges. This greatly reduces the chance of damage to the disc, as any scratches resulting from such movement will have minimal impact on the readability of the data.

How to dry and care for discs

After the initial cleaning with water or any other detergent, remove the cleaner from the Blu-ray Disc surface with a dry cloth. If it’s still not as clean, repeat the process until grease, fingerprints, or other streaks are gone. Make sure you clean up in the same way as previously recommended.

After cleaning the disc, let it dry completely before playing it or inserting it into any device. You will harm Blu-ray players and discs if they are used to play raw discs. It is also recommended to regularly clean the inside of the disc player. It can also contribute to disc contamination with years or months of dust accumulating inside the device.

The ideal place to store discs is in their original packaging or in a multi-pocket disc wallet. The amount of cleaning required for well maintained discs is minimal. The Blu-ray Disc Cleaning Kit, which includes a variety of cleaning wipes and liquid solutions, is recommended if you have a large collection of discs that need to be cleaned.

If your disc still won’t play

Check for deep scratches on the disc

Check for deep scratches on the disc that you may have missed after thorough cleaning. If he still won’t play. They can often be fixed with a disc repair kit or a bottle of scratch remover.

Clean your player

The problem may be a dirty Blu-ray player if there are no visible scratches on the disc. This may fix the problem with Blu-ray Player Cleaner. These cleaners are discs that you put in your player with tiny built-in brushes. The disc reader’s laser is cleaned during use.

Part 2: Back up Blu-ray movies before cleaning

If your Blu-ray disc is not working after all this time, consider digitizing it. The contents of a physical Blu-ray disc should be copied and stored securely as a backup. The ability to recover your files quickly when your Blu-ray discs are scratched can be realized by copying Blu-ray to an external hard drive or your computer.

This allows you not to use real Blu-ray discs. AnyMP4 Blu-ray Ripper is the best Blu-ray ripping tool. This program is a great option to rip Blu-ray discs to digital formats for saving on your computer. It can convert any Blu-ray, folder or ISO file to various formats for digital storage. In addition, the output format is compatible with the device. Here are some of the outstanding features of this tool. Check them out.
