Quickest way cure hangover. Fastest Hangover Remedies: Expert Tips for Quick Recovery
How does alcohol affect your body and lead to hangovers. What are the most effective ways to prevent and treat hangover symptoms. Why is Pedialyte recommended by doctors for hangover recovery. How can you avoid hangovers in the future.
The Science Behind Hangovers: Understanding What Causes Those Miserable Symptoms
Hangovers remain somewhat mysterious to medical professionals, but we do know they result from multiple factors rather than a single cause. Let’s examine the key reasons you feel so awful after a night of heavy drinking:
- Dehydration from alcohol’s diuretic effect
- Buildup of toxic byproducts like acetaldehyde as your body metabolizes alcohol
- Irritation of the stomach lining
- Decreased blood sugar levels
- Disrupted sleep patterns
- Possible effects from congeners in certain types of alcohol
Dehydration plays a major role in many hangover symptoms. As Dr. Alexis Halpern, Emergency Medicine physician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, explains: “Alcohol is a diuretic, meaning that it makes you urinate more frequently. All that fluid loss leads to dehydration, which causes many notorious hangover symptoms.”
The liver’s breakdown of alcohol also produces harmful compounds. Dr. Medell Briggs, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UCLA Health, notes that acetaldehyde, a byproduct of alcohol metabolism, “can cause a rapid pulse, flushing, nausea and vomiting.”
Prevention is Key: Smart Strategies to Avoid a Hangover Before It Starts
While curing an existing hangover is challenging, taking preventive measures can significantly reduce your chances of waking up miserable. Here are some expert-recommended strategies:
- Never drink on an empty stomach
- Stay hydrated by alternating alcoholic drinks with water
- Choose your drinks wisely – avoid those high in congeners or alcohol content
- Snack throughout the night
- Know and respect your limits
Dr. Halpern emphasizes the importance of hydration: “People often forget to drink water while drinking wine or other cocktails. Hydrating throughout the whole night will help you the most.”
Why Eating Before and During Drinking Matters
Having food in your stomach slows alcohol absorption, giving your body more time to process it. This can help prevent rapid intoxication and reduce the severity of hangover symptoms. Continuing to snack as you drink provides a steady source of nutrients and helps maintain more stable blood sugar levels.
Pedialyte: The Unexpected Hangover Hero Recommended by Doctors
When it comes to hangover recovery, many medical professionals recommend an unexpected remedy: Pedialyte. But why is this children’s rehydration drink so effective for adults nursing a hangover?
Dr. Nieca Goldberg, Medical Director of the Joan H. Tisch Center for Women’s Health at NYU Langone Medical Center, explains: “Pedialyte has the same balance of electrolytes as your body, so it’s good for rehydrating and replenishing what you’ve lost.”
Hangovers often involve an electrolyte imbalance due to fluid loss. Pedialyte’s carefully formulated blend of electrolytes helps restore this balance more effectively than water alone. However, it’s important to use it as directed and not overdo it, as Dr. Halpern cautions.
Pedialyte vs. Sports Drinks: Which is Better for Hangover Recovery?
While sports drinks like Gatorade and Powerade contain electrolytes, they don’t provide the same balanced mineral content as Pedialyte. These drinks also tend to be high in sugar, which may exacerbate certain hangover symptoms. If using a sports drink, Dr. Halpern suggests diluting it with water to reduce sugar intake.
Natural Alternatives: Coconut Water and Balanced Snacks for Hangover Relief
For those seeking a more natural approach to hangover recovery, coconut water offers a promising solution. Rich in potassium, an important electrolyte, coconut water can help replenish what’s lost through alcohol-induced dehydration.
Dr. Halpern recommends pairing coconut water with a nutrient-dense snack for optimal recovery: “Having it with a snack, like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole-wheat bread, will provide additional nourishment, boost blood-sugar levels, and help you get over the hump.”
The Role of Blood Sugar in Hangover Symptoms
Alcohol consumption can lead to decreased blood sugar levels, contributing to fatigue, weakness, and mood disturbances often associated with hangovers. Consuming balanced snacks that combine complex carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats can help stabilize blood sugar and alleviate these symptoms.
Debunking Hangover Myths: What Really Works and What Doesn’t
The internet is full of supposed hangover cures, but many lack scientific backing. Let’s examine some common myths and compare them to evidence-based approaches:
- “Hair of the dog” (drinking more alcohol): This may temporarily alleviate symptoms but ultimately prolongs the recovery process.
- Greasy food: While it may satisfy cravings, there’s no evidence it specifically helps hangovers. Nutrient-rich, easily digestible foods are a better choice.
- Coffee: Caffeine may provide a temporary energy boost but can worsen dehydration.
- Sweating it out: Exercise can release endorphins, but intense workouts may exacerbate dehydration and fatigue.
Instead, focus on rehydration, rest, and gentle nutrition. As Dr. Briggs notes, “While these beverages may ease your suffering, hangovers have multiple causes so there’s no magic cure.”
The Morning After: A Step-by-Step Recovery Plan
When you wake up with a hangover, follow these steps to get back on your feet as quickly as possible:
- Rehydrate: Start with water or an electrolyte-rich beverage like Pedialyte
- Eat a light, nutritious meal: Focus on easy-to-digest foods that provide balanced nutrition
- Rest: Allow your body time to recover and avoid strenuous activities
- Take a pain reliever if necessary: Acetaminophen is generally preferred over NSAIDs, which may irritate the stomach
- Consider gentle movement: A short walk or light stretching can boost circulation and mood
Remember, recovery takes time. Be patient with your body and avoid making important decisions or operating vehicles until you’re fully recovered.
Long-Term Health Impacts: Why Frequent Hangovers Should Be a Wake-Up Call
While occasional overindulgence may seem harmless, frequent hangovers can signal a problematic relationship with alcohol and may lead to serious health consequences. Consider these potential long-term effects of regular heavy drinking:
- Liver damage and increased risk of liver disease
- Weakened immune system
- Increased risk of certain cancers
- Cognitive impairment and memory issues
- Cardiovascular problems
- Mental health disorders, including depression and anxiety
If you find yourself experiencing hangovers frequently, it may be time to reassess your drinking habits. Speak with a healthcare professional if you’re concerned about your alcohol consumption or need support in making changes.
Developing a Healthier Relationship with Alcohol
Creating a more balanced approach to alcohol consumption can help prevent hangovers and protect your long-term health. Consider these strategies:
- Set clear limits on how much you’ll drink before going out
- Practice mindful drinking by savoring your beverages and drinking slowly
- Explore non-alcoholic alternatives for social situations
- Learn to recognize and manage triggers that lead to overdrinking
- Seek support from friends, family, or professionals if you’re struggling to moderate your intake
Remember, the most effective way to avoid hangovers is to drink responsibly or not at all. Your future self will thank you for the care and consideration you show your body today.
Pedialyte and other good ways to bounce back from a hangover
Let’s face it: Any of us who have suffered a hangover (back in the day) know how awful a night of boozing makes you feel. Dizziness, nausea, a stabbing headache, dreadful fatigue, inability to concentrate, rapid heart rate — these are all signs of a good time gone wrong. Should you find yourself in this unfortunate situation, there are some ways to ease the pain, but remember that the reason you’re suffering is because your body is reacting to a night of mistreatment. It’s always better to avoid a hangover than try to cure one.
Still, even reasonable adults might find themselves in this condition from time to time, so we turned to a few ER docs to break down hangover science and offer some advice for how to avoid them, and what to do after booze gets the best of you.
YOUR HANGOVER PLAY-BY-PLAY
Hangovers are still a bit of a mystery to doctors and scientists, but one thing we know for sure: There is no single factor that causes the many side effects from too much booze. There are multiple things at play. For starters, alcohol is a diuretic, meaning that it makes you urinate more frequently, according to Alexis Halpern, MD, Emergency Medicine physician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. All that fluid loss leads to dehydration, which causes many notorious hangover symptoms.
As you metabolize alcohol, the liver releases byproducts, such as acetaldehyde, explains Medell Briggs, MD, MPH, MSHS, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UCLA Health. “Acetaldehyde, can cause a rapid pulse, flushing, nausea and vomiting,” she explains.

There’s also the matter of what you’re drinking. Congener, an additive in some alcohol, like brandy, may make matters even worse. And alcohol content varies depending on your sips, so drinks with a higher percentage of alcohol are going to add to your morning-after unhappiness.
Then you have what Dr. Halpern calls, ‘the mixer effect.’ “Sugary mixers have a diuretic effect on their own, and sugar can also cause headaches, so something like a margarita mix or other sweetened mixer can amplify the harsh effects of a hangover,” she explains.
“Alcohol can also irritate the stomach lining, causing pain, nausea, and vomiting,” says Dr. Briggs. And it can lead to decreased blood sugar and disturbed sleep, both of which leave you drained.
BEATING THE ODDS
Obviously, the ER docs caution against overdoing it in the first place. (You knew that was coming.) But next time you’re heading out for a few, some simple steps can make all the difference. For starters, Dr. Briggs says, “Never drink on an empty stomach. And think about your drinks. Recall that beverages that contain congeners or a higher percentage of alcohol are going to cause more trouble than the alternatives,” she adds.
“People often forget to drink water while drinking wine or other cocktails,” adds Dr. Halpern who says that “hydrating throughout the whole night will help you the most.” Continuing to snack as the night goes on is another smart move.
And though the reminder may seem unnecessary, it’s worth repeating: Stop when you’ve reached your limit.
TOO LATE. NOW WHAT?
A big step toward getting back on your feet is to deal with dehydration. Whenever you lose a lot of fluids — be it from a marathon session at the gym or a night of excess — you can have an electrolyte imbalance. “Vomiting makes matters even worse,” says Nieca Goldberg, MD Medical Director of the Joan H. Tisch Center for Women’s Health at NYU Langone Medical Center. “Pedialyte has the same balance of electrolytes as your body, so it’s good for rehydrating and replenishing what you’ve lost,” she adds.
Pedialyte has the same balance of electrolytes as your body, so it’s good for rehydrating and replenishing what you’ve lost.
Just be sensible about it, suggests Dr. Halpern. Though it’s made for kids, it’s still a medical treatment so follow the directions on the package and don’t overdo it.
As for those other electrolyte-containing drinks, such as Gatorade and Powerade, they don’t provide the same balance of minerals that Pedialyte offers, and they’re often loaded with sugar, but they could still help in a pinch. Dr. Halpern suggests mixing them with plain water to keep tabs on added sugars. For a natural alternative, she recommends coconut water, which packs an impressive amount of the electrolyte potassium. Having it with a snack, like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole-wheat bread, will provide additional nourishment, boost blood-sugar levels, and help you get over the hump.
Plain old water helps, too, but it doesn’t contain the electrolytes that help bring your body back to life. Dr. Briggs adds that, “while these beverages may ease your suffering, hangovers have multiple causes so there’s no magic cure. In addition to hydrating and eating a small snack, take ibuprofen for headaches and body aches.” She cautions against Tylenol (also known as acetaminophen) “because it’s also metabolized by the liver and can cause liver damage if an excessive amount of alcohol was consumed.” And since alcohol also causes sleep disturbances, don’t forget the power of a good nap.

Water
h3O is a must to cure a hangover. As you likely know from the frequent trips to the bathroom during a night of debauchery, alcohol is a diuretic and can cause dehydration. Before falling into bed, down 16 to 20 ounces of water, says Daniel K. Hall-Flavin, M.D., a consultant in addiction psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic. And the next time you go out, he recommends ordering a glass of water with every beer—and alternate between the two to replace lost fluids as you go. (Did you know it’s also possible to drink too much water? Find out: Are You Drinking Too Much Water?)
Sports Drinks
“Even though the diuretic effect of alcohol may cause the body to lose some electrolytes, it’s not so much that you need to replace them right away,” says Samir Zakhari, Ph.D., director of the Division of Metabolism and Health Effects at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. And research has shown Gatorade is no better for a hangover than water from your tap, so save your money.
Coffee
Lots of people—hungover or not—use a cup of joe to wake up and feel alert at work. But a trip to Starbucks won’t give you lasting benefits, and caffeine can both treat and cause headaches and migraines, so this one is a personal preference. If you do down a cup to cure a hangover, be sure to drink water, too, since studies suggest caffeine causes dehydration. Here’s How to Brew the Best Coffee At Home.
More Alcohol (“Hair of the Dog”)
“Bad idea,” Dr. Hall-Flavin says. “It will provide a numbing effect, but all you’re doing is prolonging the inevitable, and it will likely make your headache worse.” Another reason to avoid cracking open a cold one to cure a hangover: Experts agree that if you use this “cure,” the risk of abuse increases and could lead to alcohol dependency.
Toast or Crackers
Remember when your mom gave you toast as a kid when you couldn’t keep anything down? This is good advice for adults who’ve spent the night hugging the porcelain throne, too. While no food can halt the roller coaster in your stomach, carbs can help bring your blood sugar levels back up the morning after, Dr. Hall-Flavin says. Normally when blood sugar levels dip, your liver reacts by producing more glucose from stored carbs. But if you’ve been drinking too much, your liver is busy metabolizing the alcohol and can’t handle the extra work, so your blood sugar levels stay down, and you can feel irritable and tired.
Greasy Food
What you eat after drinking doesn’t matter—it’s what you eat before all those Jagerbombs that can help lessen the hangover the next day. Food helps slow the absorption of alcohol, and the longer it takes the alcohol to reach your blood stream, the longer it is until you become intoxicated. Pain Medication
Ease a pounding head with a pill (or two, depending on the recommended dosage), but stick to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen), not acetaminophen (Tylenol): “While it’s OK for a headache, when combined with a liver that’s working overtime to metabolize alcohol, it can cause liver damage or be deadly,” says Dena Davidson, Ph.D., former associate professor of psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine.
Vitamins
If you normally take a multi, go ahead, but no studies have found that any particular vitamins do anything to cure a hangover. And one night of intoxication isn’t enough to throw off the levels of nutrients in your body to the point where you need to worry. Click here for the 59 Best Supplements for Men.
Exercise
One drink—a 12-ounce beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.5 ounces of hard liquor—is metabolized by your body in about an hour, so the whole “sweat it out” theory to cure a hangover is myth. At the same time, the endorphin release could boost your mood. And burning off a few calories may ease your guilt about how much you drank. Just be sure you keep your water bottle handy so you don’t become even more dehydrated.
Sex
“There is no research that shows that sex will make a hangover go away, but maybe it will make the time go faster,” says Joris C. Verster, Ph.D., assistant professor at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. “If it makes you happy, go for it.”
The Best Cure: Prevention
You’re a grown man, you know to drink responsibly. But just in case you forgot: Limit your drinks to about one every hour. Your body metabolizes each beer (or wine or shot) in about 60 to 75 minutes, Dr. Hall-Flavin says. Drink faster, and your blood alcohol level rises faster and you risk a hangover. Eat before you drink and follow Dr. Hall-Flavin’s “I’ll have a beer and a glass of water” rule when ordering—and drink the water, don’t let it just sit on the table.
And how’s this for sobering: In research, “moderate drinking” by a man is defined as two drinks a day. More than five in one sitting is considered “heavy drinking.” So think before you order that extra round.

How to Get Rid of Hangover of Whiskey |
So what exactly is a hangover? A hangover can be described as the various not-so-pleasant effects on the mind and the body that occur due to an abundant consumption of alcoholic drinks. The effects of hangover differ depending on one’s gender, age, body weight, body’s metabolic rate and the amount of alcohol consumed.
The most common effects of a hangover include a variety of symptoms like bad headaches, fatigue, upset stomach, sweating, nausea, bad taste in the mouth excessive thirst, sensitivity to light and last but not the least, a guilty conscience. Sometimes, the after effects of hangovers can also escalate to anxiety, depression and inability to think clearly. Besides binge drinking, hangovers occur due to other reasons like drinking on an empty stomach, dehydration in the body, insufficient sleep after consuming alcohol etc.
Hangover occurs because ethanol present in the alcohol causes an increase of diuresis or an increased urine production that causes dehydrating effects like severe headaches, fatigue, nausea and sometimes vomiting too. Nausea is generally caused due to the effects of alcohol on the lining of the stomach. So what do you do, when you get a hangover? Here are some tips:
The best thing to do to cure a hangover is to drink lots of water. Increasing liquid intake in the body, helps the body to flush out the toxins and alcohol accumulated in the body.
When you’re experiencing a hangover, it is necessary to increase the vitamin C quotient in your body. Therefore, consume lots of citrus fruit juices, lime juice or nimbu paani, alternatively you can also take vitamin C tablets.
Drinking coffee and hot chocolate can help in reducing the severity of headaches that occur due to hangovers. Ginger tea, tomato juice and mint tea are other options.
Placing napkins soaked in cold water, on the forehead can be done to ease the severe headache and signs of an oncoming fever.
Take a hot shower, as this will help in making you feel fresh and reduce feelings of lethargy and fatigue in the body.
Sugars in the form of sucrose are beneficial in reducing effects of a hangover. Therefore, eating bananas or honey is a good option. You can also try yummy peanut butter. It helps.
Drinking black coffee without any sugar and with few drops of lemon juice added to it, is another effective remedy.
Boil some thyme leaves in some water. Keep sipping this water throughout the day.
Drink Bloody Mary because tomato juice and celery are rich in vitamins, and Hair of the Dog, which includes gin and hot sauce.
Remember
To avoid hangovers:
Never drink excessively. Just drink how much you can handle.
Do not consume a mixture of different types of alcohol. Instead of guzzling hard drinks, preferably stick to beer or wine, as it gives a lesser chance of contracting a hangover.
Don’t ever drink on an empty stomach. Be sure to have a good meal before or along with your drinks and preferably carbohydrates as it tends to absorb alcohol in the stomach thus, preventing the alcohol to get absorbed in the bloodstream at a slower rate.
Avoid consuming sweets while drinking. Alcohol raises the sugar levels in the body and consuming additional sugary foods will only give you a sugar-high.
It is a good idea to take vitamin B and C before drinking.

How to get over the 4 worst hangover symptoms
You know the drill—chug a glass of water after every drink, load up on carbs before a long night out, don’t mix alcohols and skip the ones heavy with congeners—but sometimes, all the best practices can’t protect you from a hangover after a particularly indulgent night. Headaches, brain fog, nausea and drowsiness—if you know what that feels like, you know how badly you want to soothe all the hangover symptoms. We asked Dr Vishakha Shivdasani, a Mumbai-based doctor who specialises in lifestyle diseases and nutrition, and Sheela Seharawat, a Gurugram-based nutritionist for their take.
1. If you’re feeling drowsy or sluggish
Excess consumption of alcohol makes the blood sugar levels plummet, causing fatigue and weakness. While alcohol is a sedative, it can mess with how well you sleep. Several hours after drinking, the alcohol raises epinephrine production in the body, which increases the heart rate and stimulates the body, so you’re constantly waking up at night. Need to boost productivity levels the next day? “Eat a complex carbohydrate. Stay away from simple sugars which can further disturb the blood sugar balance. For instance, reach out for a banana which is loaded with potassium or eat a couple of dates as soon as you wake up,” suggests Dr Shivdasani. “Grabbing an effervescent Vitamin C tablet could also help you feel recharged,” says Dr Seharawat.
2. If you’re struggling with throbbing pain and a headache
The ethanol in alcohol makes our blood vessels expand. This can stimulate brain nerves and result in pain, particularly the throbbing, mind-numbing type. Alcohol also affects the histamine and serotonin levels in the brain, and when combined with dehydration, makes the whole thing worse. “Be conscious of adding electrolytes to your diet your electrolytes. Focus on rehydrating your cells, especially if you’re struggling with brain fog. If you are prone to hangovers or are have drunk drinks with high congener content such as whiskey, tequila and cognac, try having a glass of water in between the drinks,” says Seharawat. Both pros suggest chugging water and reaching for foods/drinks rich in electrolytes, like coconut water and citrus fruits. “I suggest lime water with rock salt for a hangover-induced headache,” says Dr Shivdasani. For some instant relief, you can also take an over-the-counter painkiller like acetaminophen for your headache.
3. If you feel nauseous and bloated
Alcohol can cause an inflammation of the stomach lining, which can cause gastritis, which in turn, causes nausea. “Acid reflux limits water from being absorbed from the small intestine, therefore the contents of the small intestine are propelled more quickly, hence you get diarrhoea kind of symptoms along with nausea,” says Dr Shivdasani. If you are feeling the cramps and have mild diarrhoea symptoms, stay away from heavy breakfast but be mindful of loading your body with electrolyte-rich fluids.
4. If you’re feeling low and upset
While you’re drinking, alcohol stimulates the production of GABA which calms and the brain and blocks the production of glutamate, a neurotransmitter associated with anxiety. This combination is why you feel relaxed, happy and social on a night out. However, the brain balances this out the next morning by blocking GABA and producing more glutamate, which leaves you feeling anxious, upset and stressed out in the AM. Getting back into your regular routine, eating a balanced breakfast and spending time on a productive task can help.

How to beat a hangover, according to science
Hangover cure – 12 best ways to beat your hangover
From a splitting headache to dizziness and nausea, if you’ve ever consumed one too many drinks, you’ll be familiar with the aftermath of a heavy night on the tiles.
While the only guaranteed way to prevent a hangover is to drink in moderation (or not at all), it’s OK to let your hair down every once in a while.
Here’s what to do before, during and after a big night out to limit the damage:
1. Fuel up
It’s not just an old wives’ tale, eating a well-balanced meal before you start drinking (as opposed to a bag of crisps) reduces the absorption of alcohol into your system. Drinking on an empty stomach results in your blood alcohol levels rising quickly. Alcohol is absorbed more slowly from the stomach than it is from the small intestine where it travels to next.
Having food in the stomach which needs to be broken down and digested, slows down the speed at which the stomach empties and therefore reduces the amount and speed of alcohol absorption. Fuel up before you hit the town.
Snacking throughout the evening and tucking into a sensible breakfast the following morning will also keep a sore head at bay.
2. Rehydrate
It’s easier said than done, but sipping water alongside your favourite tipple will pay dividends the following day. Alcohol is a diuretic which means it stimulates your kidneys to produce urine. When you drink too much alcohol, you pass lots of urine and can quickly become dehydrated (hence the banging headache in the morning).
As the night wears on you get thirstier the more dehydrated you become, which is why you may start to drink faster. Alternating alcoholic drinks with water will help control the amount of booze you consume, the speed at which you drink and will lower the concentration of alcohol in your stomach.
✔️ Top tip: after a heavy night out, drink a pint of water with a pinch of sea salt before you go to bed to rehydrate and replace depleted minerals.
3. Take a power nap
Alcohol disturbs restorative sleep, which is why you’re more likely to wake up feeling groggy after a heavy night out. It also messes with your circadian rhythm and makes you need to pee more in the night.
The best way to beat the sleep thief is to allow yourself to have a lie-in, or go back to bed as soon as possible. If you have something important to do the following day, try and nap at lunchtime and get to bed early the following night.
4. Pop a pill
If you wake up with a banging headache, avoid aspirin and ibuprofen; these medications can irritate an already delicate stomach. If your stomach is churning, opt for soluble paracetamol, as it gets into your bloodstream quicker.
For a healthier alternative, try the herbal remedy milk thistle. The theory is it helps your liver process alcohol faster if you take it before you go out and again the following morning. There’s no convincing medical evidence to prove this theory though.
5. Keep it light
The Royal Society of Chemistry advises sticking to light-coloured drinks such as gin or vodka, which are purified by distillation. When alcohol ferments it produces potentially toxic chemicals called congeners, which are more prevalent in dark drinks such as red wine and whiskey.
✔️ Top tip: quantity is key. If you drink an entire bottle of white wine, you are still going to suffer the next day, so drink in moderation irrespective of your chosen tipple.
6. Avoid fizzy drinks
We hate to be the fun police, but the bubbles found in carbonated alcohol such as champagne and prosecco can make you feel light-headed significantly quicker than still wine. A study in the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine compared the effects of flat and fizzy champagne on the same group of people, and the fizz drinkers’ blood alcohol level rose significantly faster, as carbon dioxide speeds up the delivery of alcohol to your system.
7. Side-step caffeine
Ordering a strong cup of coffee after a heavy night out sounds like an obvious solution, but while caffeine will provide a quick boost, it can also further dehydrate you, raise your heart rate and irritate your guts. This can lead to loose stools, feelings of nausea and palpitations – all of which will intensify your hangover. Sip water or herbal tea instead and your weary body will thank you.
8. Shake it off
Trembling hands after a night on the tiles can actually be down to low blood sugar. A bacon sarnie will fix the shakes in the short term, but according to the Royal Society of Chemistry, brown toast with honey, (which replaces lost sodium, potassium and fructose) is a safer breakfast option.
Add a banana or coconut water for an extra potassium and fructose boost. A fruit juice or smoothie will also lift your blood sugar, plus the vitamin C will help your liver process alcohol. Avoid pastries, as a quick sugar fix is usually followed by an energy crash.
9. Settle your stomach
Alcohol irritates your digestive system and increases acidity levels, which is often what makes you feel nauseous. If you feel sick in the morning, opt for plain foods such as dry toast or biscuits, but avoid cereal as the fatty content in milk can increase sickness.
Antacids such as Alka-Seltzer and Rennie will ease acidity, while a cup of ginger or chamomile tea can reduce queasiness and settle your stomach.
10. Side step the fry-up
When your body processes alcohol, it causes your blood sugar to drop, which is why you feel ravenously hungry the next day. Contrary to popular belief, a high fat fry-up is not a cure-all. A substantial breakfast such as scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with baked beans is an ideal way to start your day. The beans and bread will steady your blood sugar levels, while eggs contain cysteine, an amino acid that your body turns into anti-oxidants to help mop-up toxins from the alcohol.
11. Replace lost salts
Rehydration sachets, usually used for treating diarrhoea, can speed up your hangover recovery, as they contain electrolytes that replace lost fluids quicker than water alone. Isotonic sports drinks can also help replace nutrients lost after a heavy drinking session, as will Berocca tablets, which contain vitamins B, C, calcium and magnesium.
12. Sweat it out
A brisk walk, jog or cardio session is probably the last thing on your to-do list after a heavy night out, but it will be worth it if you’re up to it. Start slowly and gradually build up if you’re feeling ok, don’t forget to take a bottle of water to sip.
While you can’t actually sweat alcohol out of your body, doing some exercise will help to clear that woolly head and give you a feeling of wellbeing. Alcohol tends to depress mood too and the mood boosting effects of exercise will soon have you feeling as good as new.

The 6 Best Ways To Cure a Hangover, Tested and Ranked
Humankind’s relationship with hangovers has been a tempestuous, 10,000-year affair. No matter how bad alcohol treats us, or however many times we utter the mythical words “never again,” we just can’t help but come back for more.
Ironically, while we know what causes hangovers — an unholy trilogy of lack of antioxidants, inflammation, and dehydration — and though we have been dealing with them for millennia, we’ve yet to come up with a bona fide cure for the morning after.
According to Market Watch, products commonly taken for hangovers, like Alka-Seltzer and over-the-counter pain relievers such as aspirin and ibuprofen, carry a combined market value of over $4 billion.
Don’t miss a drop!
Get the latest in beer, wine, and cocktail culture sent straight to your inbox.
The herbal and dietary supplement market, which includes hangover treatments like PartySmart and Drinkin’ Mate, hit $1.6 billion in value in 2017. Neither of these figures takes into consideration the sports drinks market, which contains some of the most popular hangover solutions.
Remedies haven’t always been so palatable. Ancient Assyrians cured the effects of overconsumption with a mixture of ground birds’ beaks and myrrh. In Rome, a smorgasbord of fried canary, raw owls’ eggs, and sheep’s lungs was thought to be just the ticket.
In 19th-century New England, sufferers swore by the Prairie Oyster, a combination of raw egg, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice, vinegar, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper. Meanwhile, in actual England, warm milk mixed with a healthy serving of fireplace ashes was a common remedy.
In the 1930s, bartenders at New York’s Ritz-Carlton hotel swapped out those ashes for Coca-Cola. You drink it, they claimed, then “take a little nap and after that, you feel wonderful.”
The fact that none of these “cures” remain common proves that, in addition to sounding disgusting, none of them actually worked. American writer Dorothy Parker declared that “the best way to avoid a hangover is to stay drunk,” and, to her point, the ancient Scottish remedy “hair of the dog” remains popular. There are glitches to this plan, though. Having a boozy drink while hung over may rid your present-day pain, but you will be right back where you started tomorrow. Also, people have lives to live and jobs to go to.
To help you navigate the treacherous, head-splitting seas of hangover relief, we decided to test some of the most common non-alcoholic cures.
The investigation was completely unscientific, but we did try to keep things as consistent as possible. All remedies were sampled by this (now broken) writer. Each was consumed prior to eating and following an evening of merriment that didn’t quite reach the point of not remembering what was said or done, but having consumed enough to feel equally bad because of the fact I could.
Some might tell me that the only cure for a hangover is not drinking. To them, I borrow the words of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and point out that, “It’s easy to be wise after the event.”
Here are the best non-alcoholic drinks for curing a hangover, rated and ranked.
6. Irn Bru
Each of us has one nostalgic drink that carries no medical benefits but makes us feel better about the sorry state we’re in. For me, it’s Irn Bru.
While those outside Scotland may not have heard of the wonderful, toxic-looking orange concoction, Irn Bru is the nation’s leading soda, and the go-to drink for many when it comes to battling a hangover.
“You should really have it in the fridge now, chilling in anticipation of tomorrow,” Gregor Kyle wrote in a December 2017 Glasgow Live feature, “Glasgow hangover cures that will save your New Year.” He added, “Don’t bother with tea or coffee in the morning, the Bru will get you through.”
When sampled as part of this experiment, Irn Bru did nothing to cure the numerous physical complications of my hangover. The banging headache? That called for Advil. The dehydration? A few gallons of ice-cold water. It did help ease some of the mental anxiety, though, and the drink’s hefty serving of caffeine was a useful antidote to my tiredness.
Verdict: 5/10
5. Gatorade
Gatorade is packed with electrolytes, which help your body rehydrate by telling it to maintain fluids. It ought to be a great tool for replenishing the body after a night’s drinking, but Gatorade is flawed by a cloying, almost drying mouthfeel. This only compounds the cotton mouth sensation that is arguably one of the worst after-effects of a heavy night drinking.
Though science was telling me that Gatorade was rehydrating my hung over body, a pounding head and Sahara-esque mouth begged to differ. Extra water and Advil were necessary, though I did find that Gatorade energized me, which is strange given that it contains no caffeine. It was likely a placebo due to the drink’s association with sports and athletes, but it did help drag me into a place where I felt like I might actually be able to tackle the day, after all.
Verdict: 6/10
4. V8 Hydrate
Made using a sweet potato juice base, V8 Hydrate comes in three flavors: Strawberry Cucumber, Orange Grapefruit, and Coconut Watermelon. By far, Strawberry Cucumber is the most palatable, though the faint sweet potato aroma and flavor make for a slightly bizarre experience.
A newcomer on the market, V8 Hydrate offers many of the same remedies as Gatorade: It’s isotonic and contains electrolytes, meaning it will definitely help your body rehydrate. V8 Hydrate isn’t as sweet as Gatorade, however, nor does it have the same drying mouthfeel.
Claims that each 8-ounce can offers one of your daily servings of veggies made me feel better about my hung-over state, and I was eager to try and tackle the hangover with this drink alone. But when the headache hadn’t subsided after one hour and two cans consumed, I turned, once again, to Advil.
Verdict: 6.5/10
3. O2 Oxygenated Natural Recovery
You may recall Formula AM, a drinks brand marketed as a hangover cure that launched in 2011. The brand changed name and target audience in 2014, relaunching as O2 Oxygenated Natural Recovery. Its formula remains the same and the drink still offers all the same hangover-fighting goodness as the original.
A blend of electrolytes, caffeine, and oxygen, O2’s biggest advantage over other sports and energy drinks is that third ingredient, oxygen. It contains seven times as much oxygen as plain old, natural water. Though you may think it’s h3O your body craves when you’re hung over, oxygen is a crucial addition because it helps you process toxins faster.
It was a tall prospect to finish the large 16-ounce serving of O2, but by the time I had, I felt re-energized. My headache was quickly subsiding, and the hangover was definitely fading away. I probably could have gone without Advil and still felt fine with this one. (Full disclosure: I also had Advil. I was suffering, O.K.?)
Verdict: 7.5/10
2. Kombucha
Described by one website as “the thinking person’s hangover cure,” kombucha not only tackles the immediate difficulties of a hangover, it also offers some long-term benefits that could be beneficial for those whose social lives involve regular imbibing.
Antioxidant-rich, kombucha helps the liver detox. It is also a rich source of probiotics, which settle the stomach and aid digestion and inflammation.
Within a short period of time, kombucha left me feeling refreshed and replenished. I still regretted the previous night’s overindulgence, but at the same time felt good that I was tackling it in a healthy way. After finishing a bottle of GT’s Cayennade — chosen because cayenne pepper is also meant to carry hangover-curing benefits — my hangover and headache had significantly subsided.
If you aren’t familiar with kombucha, the liquid’s suspended particles and sometimes challenging flavors might not make a hangover the best time to try your first. If you drink it regularly, however, and are aware of all of its health benefits, reaching for a “‘buch” will instantly help with both physical and mental challenges.
Verdict: 8/10
1. Pedialyte
First introduced as a rehydration drink for sick infants and toddlers, Pedialyte is now a popular form of hangover prevention and relief for adults. The brand recognizes and actively embraces the dual function on its website, noting that “it can help with the dehydration you may experience after a couple of cocktails.”
A staple at bartenders’ conventions like Tales of the Cocktail, Pedialyte comes in a variety of forms ranging from 1-liter bottles to powders and freezer pops. Unlike many other drinks tasted for this article, those who champion Pedialyte encourage drinking it before bed to prevent the hangover, as well as in the morning to try and revive you from one.
Pedialyte claims to pack in two times more electrolyte sodium than other sports drinks, while containing less than half the quantity of sugar. But its syrupy consistency means that a good chilling is ideal before drinking.
I sampled Pedialyte at the end of a night and woke up the next day feeling headache-free and surprisingly good. Pedialyte couldn’t help with the tiredness, nor did it cure some of the lingering mental anxiety, but apart from that, my hangover was nonexistent.
Pedialyte’s only drawbacks include the unease at having to buy it from the kid’s aisle in drugstores, and that it can be surprisingly difficult to remove its foil cap (no, really).
My advice? Be sure to stock the fridge and remove that foil before you head out. You’ll thank yourself in the morning.
Verdict: 9.5/10

90,000 Hangovers and how to deal with them. Simple dishes that help

A condition well known to the vast majority of the population. Life, in general, is not sweet …
Let’s not lie: almost every one of us at least once in our life suffered from alcohol intoxication, colloquially called a hangover.
The best way to deal with it is to avoid it at all. Let’s say that you are a convinced teetotaler. Then you don’t have to read further.
True, it is possible that your family and friends treat alcohol differently, and in this case, as the ancients said, whoever is warned is armed.
Note: each of us has our own proven recipes for dealing with this very thing, I’ll tell you about mine, and whether you try them or not is the master’s business.
Chicken broth

It could be my hands. I have such a saucepan. And the process of sampling grass scraps, skin and cartilage goes exactly like this. But no, I won’t lie. It’s not me.
The trouble is that in order to get a really useful and effective product that helps fight alcohol intoxication, it must be done in advance.
If you don’t count on your own foresight, find a relative of either gender who will be willing to bring their time to the altar of your hangover.
Surely there is a bunch of scientific evidence as to why it works. But you and I don’t need them. It’s not too difficult to cook, but it takes time. So, on the eve of the planned binge, take a larger pot.
Place the bird or parts of it there. I prefer large sets of legs and wings, or legs, this is not so important, as long as there is a lot. Cover with water and bring to a boil.

This is how the final product should look like.In my student years it was called “soupokasha”. You can leave the carrots, you can pull them out, or you can grind and send them where they came from. In this case, the result will be pale orange.
Competent people will tell you that you need to remove the foam, but do not fool yourself, it will cook just fine. Then toss in the peeled onion – whole or cut in half.
Several peeled carrots. You can cut them lengthwise, crosswise, or not at all. The beauty of this dish is that it takes so long to cook that everything softens until it is completely mushy.
To achieve the best flavor, dill and other greens tails, cardamom pods, peppercorns and, if you are a little esthete somewhere, a pinch of saffron are also included in the pan.
Salt, close the lid, remove the fire to the full minimum and go about our business.
In this situation, as a rule, I run away to hell, because I hate the smell of boiling meat, even chicken or beef.

Ideally, making the right chicken soup requires a Jewish mom
This brew should gurgle quietly for two to two and a half hours.When at the end of this period you look into the pan, you may be frightened.
An incomprehensible boiling mass will appear before your eyes, in which, under the influence of bubbles, from time to time, onion scraps will appear on the surface, then a completely soaked grassy tail, or a piece of some skin or cartilage.
Never mind this mud volcano, the aesthetics can be restored. First, you need to separate the solid fractions from the liquid. To do this, take a smaller sieve so that the broth remains the broth itself without incomprehensible impurities.
Take your time, let the hard part cool properly, then separate the meat from the bones, cartilage and skin, cut into relatively even pieces and send them back to the pan.

Typical Jewish penicillin. Even with dumplings. Honestly, I’m not their biggest fan, but carrots and dill are traced
The final version should look like a very thick soup or very thin porridge.And you can sleep peacefully with a feeling of deep satisfaction: the best cure for a hangover, it is “Jewish penicillin”, you have it ready and waiting in the wings.
Of course, this broth can be prepared without excessive consumption of alcohol.
Some of my household members firmly believe that it is an excellent medicine for colds and general languor of the body.
Dog Dusya also very much approves, because he gets cartilage and skin at his complete disposal.
General rules (if any)

A pizza dripping with fat cheese is also good.By the way, it is easier with her, because she can be ordered at home. I honestly warned you that keeping the diet is out of the question. You just drank alcohol, and that’s all the calories. So a little more, a little less – the weather does not make , sweet and, in some cases, juicy and fruity.
Numerous nutritional experts say that if you nevertheless succumbed to temptation and overwhelmed your body with alcohol, which, whatever you say, is still a poison, you must immediately pour in more electrolytes, eliminate free radicals and replace lost salts …
I partly agree that the first thing in the morning should be to drink a couple of liters of some juice.
It is possible that you will feel so bad that your body rushes to the toilet to part with what you just drunk. This is definitely grossly disgusting, but actually good.

Coffee is a big question, because it adds stress to an already overloaded heart, and doctors recommend paracetamol instead of aspirin.But what helps someone
The main thing is to get rid of the poison in one form or another. I will not hide: what is a severe hangover, I know firsthand. Therefore, part of this experience is my own observation, the other part is observation of friends and family.
By the way, you can try to keep the juice inside if you pour it in small portions, stopping after each sip to overcome the nausea.
We will assume that you succeeded, but there is no chicken soup in the bins.What then?
Eggs with potatoes
Or without. Again, ideally, you should have a faithful friend at hand who could cook this food.

The perfect anti-hangover combination. Instead of potatoes, you can put bread
You can still cook the soup in advance, but you cannot.
Therefore, I recommend that you familiarize your family with this recipe in advance.
Baked eggs. Quality and quantity
Photo author, Getty Images
Photo caption,
This is a marvelous beauty option for photographs and dinner parties.If you really suffer from a hangover, then you need aesthetics like a fish umbrella
Here, as always, I cannot give you exact quantities, because this is not a recipe from a three-star Michelin-starred restaurant, but a quick way to save your beloved creature from suffering in the head and stomach …
- Eggs
- Boiled potatoes left over from yesterday’s lunch,
- Ham
- Cream or a little broth
- Cheese
In a fireproof dish (it is better to take small, individual forms of potatoes), put on the bottom.
Do not strain yourself, you can break them with your hands, especially if you have to save yourself from a hangover yourself, and your hands are shaking, causing the knife to dance in the palm of some tarantella.
Photo author, Getty Images
Photo caption,
If it’s not a hangover, but just like that, then baked eggs give a wide scope of imagination. Here they are with mushrooms and some kind of greens. Almost a win-win
Throw the pieces of ham in there. Pour in a little broth or cream, break an egg there, salt, sprinkle with grated cheese.If you have the same problems with the grater as with the knife, try crumbling the cheese as well.
Place the dishes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 10-15 minutes.
The main thing is not to forget that you are now not taking care of a healthy lifestyle, but saving your body from a lot of inconveniences.
The fact that you brought these inconveniences on yourself does not correct the situation at all, because there is also no one to scold but yourself, your beloved.
Therefore, eat fatty, high-calorie and not at all healthy food and do not grumble.
Healthy option

Photo caption,
Here it is – healthy and useful beauty! Let’s hope you have it all in your fridge.
Yes, there are options to end the hangover nightmare without additional sacrifice. But it is accompanied by sophisticated torture. It’s about what is called a smoothie.
Throw it into a food processor, aka a blender, you can do whatever you have at hand: some berries, fruits, you can also add spinach and cucumber …
This option, theoretically, is good only in summer, when all kinds of vegetation full.But let’s say that you are a person with funds, and there are strawberries-raspberries in your refrigerator all year round.
And this is where the torture begins, because in order to homogenize all the vegetation, you need to whip it up with the same electric device.

And let your housekeeper give you everything like that. And whether you keep this green something in yourself or not …
The sharp, piercing sound of the engine is almost guaranteed to cause such a pounding sharp pain in the temples that it is better to die.
If you are a wealthy person living alone, instruct the housekeeper-cook-home administrator-personal secretary to prepare a healthy mixture, but as far from your ears as possible.
Preferably in another house altogether.
Bloody Mary or Virgin Mary
Photo author, Getty Images
Photo caption,
I don’t know why to add this gastronomic orgy on knitting needles to Bloody Mary. In the end, we treat a hangover, not aesthetics
Most doctors and other specialists say that getting drunk is the last thing.In this case, you are simply delaying the inevitable retribution that will come, do not hesitate.
However, popular thought says: like cures like. To be honest, a somewhat dubious statement: cirrhosis of the liver cannot be cured with alcohol, acute heart failure with smoking, and syphilis with gonorrhea.
If my memory serves me right, Virgin Mary works perfectly. If you prefer the traditional version, add vodka to the mixture.
Classic version: Tomato juice
Photo author, Getty Images
Photo caption,
Just like that, simple and straightforward.You can nibble on the celery afterwards if your stomach accepts
Worcestershire sauce. No Worcester, put in soy, or even some balsamic vinegar. Unfortunately, if anyone offers you a Worcester sauce made anywhere in Germany, don’t believe it. The recipe is still kept secret.
- Tabasco sauce (any chili sauce will work, just don’t add sweet and sour)
- Salt, freshly ground black pepper, lemon slice, celery stalk, ice cubes.
Amounts to taste, ice is strictly optional.If you cook your Mary ahead of time and put her in the refrigerator, the ice falls off.
Among the different options for a life-saving drink, there is also bacon : instead of celery, put a slice of well-fried and dried bacon into a glass.
Photo author, Getty Images

Another option. I wonder who came up with the brilliant idea to put a burger on a skewer ???
And with roasted strawberries . Yes, yes, my eyes also looked up on my forehead, but people insist that the effect is simply amazing, because the sweetness of strawberries goes well with the acidity of tomatoes and lemons.But I do not give a guarantee, do it at your own peril and risk.
And Mary green . In principle, everything is as usual, only take green tomatoes instead of tomato juice.
And the classic version, but with the addition of mustard.
It always seemed to me that the original version was the most effective. And without kandibobers. But why not frolic?
Dessert as a dessert, but it helps

Caramel rolls.Forget about the diet right away. Calories are above the roof here, but they help
You can still treat a severe hangover with plump pancakes with some kind of syrup, but if my memory serves me, then the best option for my body was sweet buns with caramel.
Or something similar, sticky, sweet and very, very harmful.
The quantities, unfortunately, cannot be given here either, everything is approximate.
Photo author, Getty Images
Photo caption,
Caramel sauce. I almost never succeed in it.All the time I miss the moment when the contents of the pot are still caramel, not charcoal
Make a caramel syrup from sugar and butter. The main thing here is not to overdo it with the cooking time, because the caramel turns into charcoal in just a couple of seconds
- Prepare the yeast dough, but let it be as rich as possible
- Take a cake pan with split edges and line it properly with paper. From my own experience, I know that if there is even a tiny gap somewhere between the bottom and the edges, then the cursed caramel will drain to the bottom of the oven, burn and smell rather disgusting.Besides, you can’t scrape it off afterwards.
- Roll out the dough at least in an oval or in a rectangle, sprinkle with a mixture of raisins, nuts and cinnamon (if you don’t like any of this, then you don’t need it). After that, roll everything into a roll and cut into relatively equal slices
- Pour caramel onto the bottom of the mold and cover it tightly with butter rounds. Leave this business to stand for a while. The round ones will rise and fill the entire space. It will turn out, as it were, one pie, which, however, will not have to be cut, but broken off.The rolls will be separated from each other according to pre-defined boundaries without much difficulty
- The oven is somewhere at 180 degrees, but I will not say the time, each oven has its own troubles
Photo author, Getty Images
Photo caption,
I try more often remember your student years in order to treat the kids’ escapades with understanding. Just in case, if anyone doubts, it’s not me. Never liked beer!
The problem with this wonderful medicine is the same as in other cases: someone has to prepare all the medicinal feed.
If you have neither compassionate household members, nor a housekeeper, then at least keep tomato juice in the refrigerator. Or just drink in moderation.
Sorry, I understand that now I sound like a reminder to the teacher, but you can’t erase a word from a song. No alcohol poisoning, no hangover. And all these things can be cooked and just like that.
I would have this worldly wisdom 20 years ago …
How to cure a hangover in 1 hour
How to cure a hangover in 1 hour
Put 10 slices of fresh ginger root in 750 ml of boiling water, boil for 10 minutes, then strain the liquid.Now this water contains a lot of 6-gingerol – a substance that successfully fights against your urge to vomit.
2. Charge the battery
Pour 250 ml of orange juice into a jug where water with gingerol is already splashing. It contains a lot of fructose and glucose, which provide energy and accelerate the elimination of toxins from the body. At the same time, the juice does not cause jumps in blood sugar levels.
3. Clear your head
Add 2 soluble aspirin or paracetamol tablets to the mixture. This is what is called palliative treatment: aspirin will not make a special contribution to cleansing the body, but it will quell the headache a little.
4. Drive out the alcohol
If you tucked the collar really hard yesterday, your liver is still processing alcohol in the morning. Add vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) to the jar, which protects the liver from ethanol and its metabolites. An ampoule with a solution for injection (pyridoxine content 0.01 g) is suitable for a cocktail, or simply rub a tablet of B vitamins (both are sold in any pharmacy).
5. Restore the water-salt balance
Add two sachets of powder for the preparation of saline solutions like “Regidron”.This ingredient will replenish your body’s supply of electrolytes. The ones you wastefully poured into your urinal yesterday.
Stir the mixture well and drink 250 ml every 15 minutes for an hour. Of course, you won’t get pleasure from this drink, but you hunted for positive emotions yesterday. Today you have to pay for them. You can still get off cheap with this cocktail.

How to cure a hangover in 1 hour
Time to read the article: 2 minutes
Many of us wake up after a stormy party and regret that morning has come.A new day greets a man who has gone overboard with alcohol with disgusting hangover symptoms. It’s good when you can try to fall asleep again. But some people in this state still need to go on business. Let’s consider simple and effective recommendations on how to treat a hangover quickly.
Hangovers
Before starting treatment, you need to find out what condition the person is in. If he does not have alcohol dependence, and the malaise came as a result of drinking a large dose of alcohol, then this is a common hangover, which disappears with the help of improvised means literally in one day.
The dose of alcoholic beverages that causes unpleasant consequences is purely individual. It is proven that fair-skinned blondes of the Caucasian race try to recover from a hangover more often than other people.
The most common hangover symptoms are:
- nausea;
- vomiting;
- headache;
- sensation of thirst and dry mouth;
- intolerance to harsh sounds and smells;
- feeling of weakness in the body.
After getting out of a drinking binge for many days, alcoholics have a hangover or withdrawal syndrome. This condition lasts about a week and often ends with taking a new portion of alcohol and leaving for another binge. Hangover syndrome is often expressed by the same symptoms as an ordinary hangover, but pronounced physical and psycho-emotional manifestations are added to the overall picture:
- severe fatigue or excitement;
- trembling of hands, eyelids and even the whole body;
- sleep disorders, nightmares;
- problems with attention, thinking and memory;
- depressive state;
- desire to get drunk by any means;
- in severe cases – auditory and visual hallucinations.
Successful treatment of withdrawal symptoms is possible only in a hospital setting. This is due to the fact that a new dose of alcohol will push you to a new binge, and staying in a medical institution reduces the likelihood of getting alcohol.
If the patient does not want to leave the house, and even more so to be treated in a hospital, you can try the latest drugs sold on the Internet. If alcoholism has not yet reached the last stage with irreversible consequences, they will help eliminate the craving for alcohol.
Recommendations of doctors for a hangover
Narcologists are sure that only a hangover syndrome with mild symptoms can be treated at home on your own. That is, if the binge lasted no more than a week. Also, the tips below are very effective in getting rid of the effects of regular binge drinking.
- How to quickly cure a hangover – to deal with all its manifestations in a complex manner. Start with a cool shower, preferably several times a day.
- If alcohol is still present in the stomach, it must be emptied by inducing vomiting.
It is highly discouraged to induce vomiting on an empty stomach. It will not bring relief, but is fraught with rupture of the gastric mucosa. Therefore, with nausea, it is better to drink one tablet of cerucal and after that do not drink any liquid for a couple of hours, just rinse your mouth.
- After elimination of nausea, you need to actively drink liquid (at least two liters per day). Better if it is mineral water without gas, brines, juices, herbal teas with honey.
- You can relieve headache with ordinary aspirin if there are no chronic stomach problems.
- Valocordin or Corvalol (40 drops twice a day), glycine (2 tablets three times a day) are shown to normalize the heartbeat, eliminate anxiety. Valerian root and motherwort also give a mild calming effect.
- You can speed up your recovery with the right diet. After the appetite appears, you need to eat often, but in small portions. It is beneficial to eat vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamin C, potassium and magnesium.Citrus fruits, bananas, low-fat broths, soups, borscht, dairy products are suitable.
- After a binge, a hangover, the treatment of which is carried out at home, requires the intake of vitamins of group B. They are found in meat products, bread, eggs, potatoes, nuts, tomatoes, broccoli, fish, dairy products.
What not to do with a hangover
The Internet is replete with tips on how to quickly remove a hangover, often offering something that should never be done when eliminating the symptoms of alcohol abuse, especially after a binge.
- It is highly not recommended to get drunk. With a hangover syndrome, this will lead to another binge.
- No smoking. Tobacco smoke will increase nausea and dizziness.
- Do not take a steam bath or sauna (especially on the first day of a hangover) – this is an additional load on the heart.
- It is not advisable to use diuretics against edema. They will lead to the leaching of nutrients from the body, but they will not solve the problem, because puffiness does not appear from an excess of fluid, but from its incorrect distribution.
- Do not rely on activated carbon in the fight against alcohol poisoning. It is only effective if alcohol has recently entered the stomach. After the absorption of ethanol into the blood, sorbents are powerless. Therefore, it is better to take activated charcoal or a similar drug before the feast.
- It is not recommended to lean on fatty foods in case of a hangover – it is harmful to the already weakened digestive system. Also, do not eat a lot of fatty foods as a snack – alcohol enters the bloodstream more slowly, and a person may not feel drunk until they exceed the allowable dose.
- It is forbidden to use tranquilizers (sedatives, sleeping pills) without consulting a doctor, even if you managed to get them without a prescription. Firstly, they are addictive, and secondly, they have many contraindications.

How to treat a hangover at home
A hangover is an unpleasant painful condition caused by an excessive dose of alcohol for the body. And for each person, this dose is different – someone feels great after heavy libations, the other suffers after a few glasses of wine. And most often you have to treat a hangover at home.
First of all, with a strong hangover, you need to empty the stomach and flush out the remnants of alcohol. To do this, drink 2 liters of non-carbonated mineral water in 10-15 minutes. It cleans well the stomach and a large amount of milk.
If your stomach has already cleared, but you still feel sick, try drinking a glass of tomato juice with salt and pepper. Activated charcoal helps to reduce intoxication and relieve nausea – 1 tablet per 10 kg of your weight, as well as other pharmacy adsorbents.
Water with ammonia helps bring a person to life and reduce intoxication – six drops of ammonia in a glass of water.After the cessation of vomiting, it is necessary to replenish the microelements lost by the body – magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, manganese. If this is not done, cramps in the limbs or pain in the heart may occur. To replenish the stock of trace elements, kefir, kvass, orange juice, water with honey and lemon juice, cucumber or cabbage pickles are suitable.
You can relieve headaches with the help of painkillers, or you can use folk recipes. Good for headaches, applying lemon peels and slices of raw potatoes to the temples and forehead helps.
Doctors do not recommend drinking strong coffee or tea during a hangover – your blood pressure may seriously rise. Better brew chamomile or mint herbal tea. You can add ginger or honey to it.
To recuperate after a hangover, take a contrast shower. Then drink some chicken or beef broth. In order for the body to quickly cope with the elimination of harmful substances, you can visit the bathhouse or sauna, take a walk in the fresh air.
During the week after drinking that led to a hangover, try to eat less fatty, smoked, and spicy foods to give your liver time to recover.Eat sour cabbage soup, vegetable soups, cottage cheese. Drink rosehip broth, dried fruit compotes, and dried apricots more often. To become one of those who rarely suffer from a hangover, try to follow these rules.
Eat before the meal. A portion of fatty meat, a raw egg, rice porridge with butter – these dishes will slow down the increase in the concentration of alcohol in the blood, and the body will have time to produce the enzymes necessary to break down alcohol.
For the same purpose, it is sometimes recommended to drink 30-50 grams of vodka three hours before the feast.
During the holiday, be sure to have a snack with every serving of alcohol. It is best to eat hot and fatty foods. But in any case, do not drink alcohol with carbonated drinks!
Do not mix different alcoholic beverages, but if you do, do not lower their strength. Get out into the fresh air more often and move more – dance, have fun, communicate. After all, a holiday is an excuse to have a good time, and not get drunk!

How to get rid of a hangover – 12 universal recipes
Dedicated to the post-holiday mornings (as well as to all those who have not read this article).
You have to pay for everything in this life and, unfortunately, our health very often becomes the currency. Hangover syndrome, aka “hangover”, is the scourge of all mankind, and this is exactly the case when our body becomes a universal currency, which everyone pays for a well-spent “yesterday”. But today it has already come and we have to think about how to get rid of a hangover, and even at home, that is, having at hand only a limited set of “tools”. But it doesn’t matter.
How to get rid of a hangover should not be
Not treating everyone in a row is dangerous to health. If something you need was not at hand, and you don’t have the strength to make an expedition to the pharmacy, it is better to ask a friend or loved one.
Do not force-eat – if the body does not accept food, then it does not need it. In addition, not all foods are created equal (this article describes foods that can help fight alcohol and its waste products).
Do not take aspirin, paracetamol, citramon, phenazepam and their analogs – aspirin after drinking can damage the intestines, paracetamol and citramone during intoxication are dangerous for the liver, and phenazepam is simply incompatible with alcohol and is very dangerous to health.
Do not fight nausea – do not suppress the natural defense mechanisms of the body, it is better to drink more water (! But wisely) and rinse the stomach until the nausea passes. Once again – no nausea pills!
Do not take sorbents at the same time as medications – activated charcoal and other sorbents can absorb medications. An interval of 2-3 hours should be maintained between the intake of sorbents and medications.
Do not neglect your health – if you feel severe chest pains, blurred vision, see blood in your urine – call a doctor without hesitation.
That is useless with a hangover
The following folk remedies will not harm a hangover, but they will not bring any benefit: coffee (unless it increases pressure and dry mouth, which is not good), tomato juice, pickles (not to be confused with pickle ), soda, multivitamins (vitrum, etc.), hepatoprotectors (milk thistle preparations, etc.), afobazole. Do not waste your time on this, but rather go to the list below.
How to treat a hangover correctly
First, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the theory (if you have the strength and opportunity): article one – here the first reasons for pomegia are described, article two – here the basic principles of curing a hangover are described.
Recipe 1. Get drunk.
This is a quick, but at the same time, short-term way to get rid of a hangover, which only removes some of the symptoms, but does not cure the “disease” itself. If you drink a bottle of beer or 50-100 ml of vodka, it will turn out to improve the general condition of the body for a short period of time, since alcohol will have a calming and anesthetic effect. In this short period of time, one should begin with even greater enthusiasm to cleanse the body of alcohol decay products.By the way, you can get drunk with non-alcoholic beer, which is less harmful to the body.
It is better to get drunk with vodka, as the purest alcoholic product. Third-party impurities in “noble” drinks, such as whiskey, tequila or gin, additionally load the liver, and this is very, very bad.
Recipe 2. Take a contrast shower.
Hot water promotes perspiration, and this process is accompanied by the removal of toxins and other harmful substances from the body. In addition, profuse sweating evens out the fluid balance in the body, which is disturbed as a result of libation.A contrast shower should start with hot water and then alternate with cold water, which will wash away sweat and unclog pores. Not suitable for hypertensive patients, as well as people suffering from diseases of the blood, cardiovascular system and with impaired blood circulation in the brain.
Recipe 3. Go to the bathhouse.
A visit to the bath is akin to a contrast shower, but the bath also speeds up metabolism, enhances skin respiration, eliminates dehydration, and kills unwanted bacteria. It is the sauna that is recommended, and not the Russian bath, which creates a great strain on the heart.To cure a hangover, three sets of 5, 10 and 20 minutes will be enough.
Attention! People with cardiovascular diseases should not enter the steam room. If your heart rate is above 110 beats per minute, and your blood pressure is above 140/90, do not go to the bath, it is better to get rid of your hangover in other ways.
Recipe 4. Get rid of poisons.
Alcohol breakdown products are poisons, and they poison your body. To get rid of them, drink: activated charcoal (1 tablet per 10 kg) or any other sorbent, succinic or citric acid, tincture of Eleutherococcus, fermented milk products (kumis is especially useful for a hangover), unpasteurized kvass.
Recipe 5. Drink a glass of brine.
Better than cucumber or cabbage – it contains a lot of electrolyte salts, which normalize the osmotic pressure in the blood plasma. It is important to drink no more than 1 glass, otherwise the swelling of the tissues will only increase. By the way, it is better to drink cabbage brine, as it already contains succinic acid.
Recipe 6. Drink plenty of water and take diuretics.
Improper distribution of fluid is one of the root causes of poor health from a hangover (there is a lot of water in the tissues, and there is a shortage in the vessels).This is eliminated by taking a large amount of water and diuretics (non-alcoholic beer, green tea, veroshpiron, strawberries, etc.), but here it is important to maintain the balance of salts in the blood, otherwise there will be little sense from all this. That is why you need to drink the pickle first.
When a hangover occurs, you should drink as much water as your body requires. In principle, 0.5 water will be sufficient for every half hour. If a large amount of water causes vomiting, then this is only for the best – toxic products will leave your mortal body even faster.
Recipe 7. There are citrus fruits and bananas.
Citrus fruits contain citric acid, which will speed up metabolism and, as a result, eliminate toxins from the body. Bananas contain a lot of potassium, which is excreted from the body during frequent trips to the toilet in a small way.
Recipe 8. Drink a decoction of St. John’s wort and / or rose hips.
St. John’s wort decoction has a sedative (relaxing), antidepressant and anxiolytic (relieves anxiety and anxiety) effect. It also improves blood circulation, has a tonic effect.How to take: 4 tbsp. Spoons of chopped herb St. John’s wort pour 0.5 liters of boiling water and hold in a boiling bath for 20-30 minutes. Drink the broth every hour and a half for half a glass.
Rosehip decoction contains a huge amount of ascorbic acid, as well as vitamins A, P and K. Rosehip should be brewed like tea, and not boiled, since during intense heat treatment, ascorbic acid is partially destroyed.
Recipe 9. Drink lemon juice.
Same citric acid. Squeeze out the juice of two or three lemons, and dilute it in double the amount of boiled water.
Recipe 10. Eat half a glass of honey.
Experiments show that you can get rid of a hangover at home by intensive bowel cleansing and taking honey. The treat should be consumed in small portions. Honey contains a lot of fructose, which speeds up metabolism and stimulates the so-called “pentose shunt” – the process of restoring the most important coenzyme nicotinamide dinucleotide phosphate (NADP).
Recipe 11. Sleep well.
Sleep is the best cure for a hangover, because during sleep, cholinergic processes are activated in the body, aimed at restoring homeostasis (constancy of physiological processes).It is important here that someone was watching the drunk person, since in this state the “patient” may start vomiting and will need to be turned over on one side. In addition, it is undesirable to lie in one position for a long time, as this can lead to kidney failure as a result of the crash syndrome (prolonged crush syndrome, which occurs as a result of prolonged clamping of parts of the body).
Recipe 12. Go in for sports.
After sleep, you can go in for sports, but this option is only suitable for trained young people who do not have heart problems.During physical exertion, the body quickly gets rid of harmful substances due to perspiration, redistribution of vascular tone, glomerular filtration in the kidneys.
How not to get sick with a hangover when “just bad”
There is such a thing as dysphoria (the opposite of euphoria) – this is when nothing in particular hurts, but the mood is depressed and it seems that everything is gone. This is due to the fact that during libations, the balance of some neurotransmitters, substances due to which the brain works (serotonins, dopamines, etc.), was disturbed.
To gain time and take up serious treatment, you should: drink cocoa, pantogam, picamilon, magnesium preparations or energy drinks, if there are no contraindications to the latter. For example, taurine, contained in many energy drinks, plays the role of a neurotransmitter amino acid that relieves anxiety, improves blood flow, and reduces headache (the main thing here is to know when to stop). And cocoa contains a number of antidepressants, only it needs to be cooked in water, since milk impairs the “bioavailability” of the drink.
As you can see, getting rid of a hangover at home is not as difficult as it might seem from feeling unwell. Follow these recommendations, tell about them all those whose health you care about. In the next article, we will tell you about drugs that should and should not be taken during a hangover.

2. Dried bovine penis (Sicily, Italy).
Do you think eating a dried bull’s genitals would be the most disgusting thing you’ve ever done? Bingo, you guessed it. I would never take anyone’s penis in my mouth in my life. This is my rule in life.
However, Italians, and in particular those who live in Sicily, do not hesitate to take penises in their mouths, and probably therefore know exactly how to get rid of a hangover. Getting hold of a dried bull cock is not as easy today as it was decades ago, but Italians can attest that this is the best way to cure a hangover.
3. Raw salted herring wrapped around gherkins and onions (Germany).
Don’t think that the Germans know a lot about drinking. They, it seems to me, only know a lot about tanks, beer, premium cars and concentration camps. Of course, the Germans strive for the best quality – and that can be said for their hangover cure. And now I’m not talking about tanks, beer, premium cars and concentration camps.

4. Sheep’s eyes in tomato juice (Mongolia).
Have you ever been to Mongolia? Mongolia is a great country and worth going there, especially if you want to meet beautiful and wonderful people with unique cultural traditions. If you ever go to Mongolia and get drunk there, don’t worry, because their hangover cure will get you back on your feet in a matter of seconds.
Ancient Mongols used to treat hangovers by eating sheep’s eyes in tomato juice – a concoction that modern Mongols can make for you.The cocktail sounds weird, and I’m sure it tastes even weirder, but it’ll get you out of your hangover faster than you realize. And it’s better to have eyes in tomato juice than raw herring or dry bovine penis.
5. A glass of warm milk with a teaspoon of soot (1800s).
Before traditional medicine and hangover drugs that you can buy at the pharmacy today, people treated their hangovers in the simplest ways. For example, in the 1800s in Europe, a night of alcoholic intoxication was not a reason to neglect housework or the duties of the next day, as a teaspoon full of chimney soot added to a glass of warm milk was enough to cure a hangover.
Surprisingly, today’s hangover medications contain carbon, which absorbs toxins produced in the body after drinking alcohol, playing the same role as chimney soot. If you take this medication before drinking alcohol, it will work even better.
6. Duck embryo in egg (Philippines).
Would you eat an egg that has already formed an embryo? And with a hangover? In general, it seems wrong to me to eat an embryo of anyone, although it would be a little hypocritical to eat eggs and adult birds and animals and claim that there is an embryo.
In the Philippines, having a duck embryo is not only acceptable, but simply necessary for the treatment of a hangover. The duck embryo contains cysteine, a substance that has the ability to break down toxins in the liver, therefore, return you to normal after a night of libation.
7. Ground rhino horn in hot water (Vietnam).
The worst thing about this treatment is the killing of one of the endangered animal species. Yes, earlier this method of treating a hangover was popular in Vietnam, but today you can go to jail for such a hangover.So it’s better to buy a pill.
8. Goddard Drops (XVII century, England).
Of all hangover cures, Goddard drops are the creepiest, weirdest, and most smelly on our list. Forgot to say, they can also be poisonous. Goddard Drops were a hangover cure that was invented by Jonathan Goddard, who was a physician in the 1600s. Jonathan made these drops using ammonia, and then mixed it with such strange things as dried viper, the skull of a hanged man, and so on and on and on… The exact recipe has not survived.

9. Raw owl eggs and fried canary (Ancient Rome).
For a very long period, the Roman Empire ruled almost the entire modern world, hence it can be argued that the Roman way of life spread throughout the conquered lands. However, Roman hangover cures may not have been as great as in other parts of the world, but they were effective.
10.Pellet tea (American Wild West).
Pellet tea made from rabbit excrement is what cowboys in the Wild West used to drink to cure hangovers. I’m sure you’re asking yourself, who even discovered this poop tea?
Rabbit feces are known to contain large amounts of nitrogen, potassium and phosphoric acid, which are important in fighting hangovers, but the side effects of eating anything that has left the digestive system of another living thing can be a big problem.Whether this method works or not is not so important. Even the pain reliever is not as dangerous as this tea.
11. Burial in river sand (Ireland).
Irish people definitely have one of the weirdest hangover cures – a method that city dwellers will find difficult to implement. Many years ago in Ireland, people who had drunk too much the previous night asked their friends to bury them in river sand up to their necks so that only their heads remained on the surface.
You are certainly in trouble if you were claustrophobic, or if you didn’t have friends to dig a hole and bury you. But the Irish argue that this is a fairly effective method of dealing with a hangover.
12. Speak a small amount of beer (Ancient Egypt).
Ancient Egypt was very much ahead of time and it is very sad that most of the knowledge and technologies of those times were lost or are still buried deep in the earth. But we know the ancient Egyptian way to cure a hangover.The Egyptians used a charmed beer. Although I can assume that unspoken beer helped.
13. Lungs of sheep, owl eggs and boiled cabbage (Ancient Greece).
Ancient Greece is home to most of the most useful knowledge and inventions we have today; therefore, everything that the ancient Greeks did must be taken very seriously. The ways the ancient Greeks treated hangovers included eating sheep’s lungs and owl eggs.
Lungs of sheep and owl eggs are quite difficult to obtain these days, but nothing is impossible.In addition, the ancient Greeks also believed that boiled cabbage would also have an effect – a way to implement it much easier. Boiled cabbage helps, I checked it myself.
14. Lemon armpit (Puerto Rico).
Puerto Ricans have one of the most unusual ways to treat hangovers, although there are questions about its effectiveness. In Puerto Rico, people who knew they were likely to drink too much put a slice of lemon or lime in their armpits, and this should eliminate the possibility of a hangover the next morning.Lemon prevents dehydration, and another benefit of citrus in your armpits is that you won’t stink. But about the fight against a hangover, I doubt it.
15. Raw eel (Europe. Middle Ages).
Medieval England is home to a very bizarre hangover cure that makes us appreciate the fact that we live in a time when hangover cures have changed a lot. We should thank hangover cures just because we don’t drink raw eel blood, which is actually poisonous.
Even a small amount of eel blood is enough to kill you, so do not try this treatment under any circumstances. Although rolls with eel mmm …

10 ways to quickly solve the problem
1. Shower
This is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get yourself into a more or less normal state with a hangover.It is best to take a contrast shower, alternating cold and hot water. You can take at least cool water treatments. This will cheer you up, but it won’t clear up all of the symptoms.
2. Water
With a hangover, the water-salt balance is disturbed. It needs to be restored and this can be done with a large amount of water. Note that it is best to use salted mineral water for these purposes (“Borjomi”, “Essentuki” and any other). Lemon juice can be added to the water.It is rich in vitamin C, which flushes alcohol out of the body.
3. Other beverages
Coffee is a great helper to cheer up after a stormy evening.
Coca-Cola can also be used. What is the secret here, no one knows for sure, since, as you know, no serious research has been carried out, however, it has long been noticed among the people that cola helps a lot.
Pickle is probably the oldest hangover cure.
Matsoni, Tan, Ayran and other fermented milk drinks help to improve well-being.
Salted tomato juice is also suitable as an anti-hangover agent.
4. Hearty breakfast
It is best to eat eggs with bacon and parsley in the morning. You can add sauerkraut to this dish. All this will help you gain strength and feel better. The cabbage will work like the pickle, and the parsley will help freshen your breath a little.Broth is also suitable – it helps not only with colds, but also with a hangover syndrome.
5. Pharmaceuticals
Today there are a number of drugs that can help get rid of hangover symptoms. For example, “Alkoselzer” contains vitamin C and pain relievers in its composition. If it is not possible to buy a specialized drug, then you can drink ascorbic acid and anesthetic (aspirin, ibuprofen and other drugs are suitable).
6. Alcohol
Note again that we do not call for the abuse of alcoholic beverages, but getting drunk is often the surest and fastest way to recover. However, you need to be very careful in this so that the drunkard does not turn into a new feast, and it, in turn, into a binge.
7. Infusion of peppermint
This is a fairly simple recipe, but it helps relieve symptoms even in the most severe cases.The infusion is prepared according to a specific recipe: pour a tablespoon of peppermint tincture into 0.5 liters of boiling water, then the liquid must be kept for half an hour. Take the tool half a glass every half hour.
8. Sauna
Sauna helps to get rid of toxins. However, you need to take it only if health allows. In addition, with a hangover, you should not abuse this method. It is enough to go to the steam room several times for five minutes.
Do not use this method if you have cardiovascular disease or if you are over 50 years old.
9. Honey
This is another ancient folk remedy. However, not everyone can use it, but only real sweet tooth, since you need to eat half a glass of honey. Of course, you need to drink it not directly from the can in one gulp, but use it in small portions.
It has been noticed that honey improves metabolism, thanks to which it is possible to quickly cure a hangover.
10. Preventive method
The best way to cure a hangover is to take care beforehand not to experience it.It turns out it’s not that hard. It is clear that less alcohol will make you feel better in the morning, but there are still some secrets:
1) Do not drink alcohol on an empty stomach, as this accelerates the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream;
2) Avoid fatty foods at the table, because in combination with alcohol, it can damage the liver;
3) Before the feast, drink a few tablets of activated carbon or any other sorbent that will absorb all the harmful substances;
4) Do not eat or drink alcohol with anything sweet or carbonated, as this accelerates the rate at which alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream.

How to remove a hangover quickly at home
It’s no secret that a hangover is an integral part of any violent party. But not many people know that a hangover is not so simple and has two varieties:
- It occurs after a one-time booze. For example, at a party you went overboard a little, and in the morning you can hardly tear your head off the pillow;
- Occurs in chronic alcoholics.This type of hangover is called withdrawal syndrome (withdrawal syndrome) – a strong physical and psychological craving for alcohol or drugs, the inability to function normally and perceive the world without “doping”.
In this article we will talk about how you can quickly relieve the main symptoms of both types of hangover at home.
A little about the signs
Hangover symptoms:
- The person experiences severe nausea, sometimes vomiting;
- Hands are shaking;
- Also a hangover symptom is fever or chills;
- Suppressed state;
- Increase or decrease in blood pressure;
- Sometimes with a hangover, diarrhea or, on the contrary, constipation occurs;
- The person experiences insomnia; if sleeping, then restless;
- Swells up the face and limbs;
- And the most popular symptom of a hangover syndrome is a head splitting, any movement responds with pain.
Of course, these are not all symptoms, only the most common. You can get rid of them or at least alleviate the condition at home.
What to do on your own
You can use the following folk remedies for hangover:
- First, prohibit your loved one from drinking alcohol. Get drunk (“improve your health”) – the worst thing that can be done;
- Give the alcoholic plenty of water. This is the most affordable home remedy to help you cleanse your body.Water will not be able to quickly relieve a hangover, but it will alleviate a person’s condition – a fact. Also, activated charcoal helps in the fight against alcohol hangover;
- Light contrast shower. Not the most effective hangover recipe. But, nevertheless, he will be able to slightly improve both the patient’s condition and his appearance;
- If the person’s condition is not so sad, try feeding him. Food does not have the ability to relieve hangover, but helps to normalize the functioning of the body;
- Give the alcoholic some sleep.Sleep is the best cure, although it doesn’t work very quickly. Tip: For hangovers and withdrawal symptoms in your loved one, avoid scandals and brainwashing. Firstly, this way you slow down the healing process, and secondly, your loved one will not take your words anyway;
- In case of severe headache, an appropriate pill may come to the rescue. For example, aspirin. Of course, it does not cure pain, but it minimizes discomfort.
Remember that these techniques will help you quickly (or not very much, depending on the condition) relieve hangover symptoms.But if you have a drinking problem, you need full treatment. Plus, some of the symptoms of a severe hangover can be dangerous. Do not risk the health of your loved one! It is better to call doctors at home to relieve withdrawal symptoms.
